The Chi' Gundams.

"Ahhh... Soon I shalt meet with that foul sorcerer and regain the lovely Akane and the Pigtailed Goddess from his grasp. Then I shalt give him the thrashing that the fiend deserves."

Heero looked up from the final checks he was making on the Wing Zero to glance at Kuno. He talked even more then Duo. On the entire plane trip, Kuno had proven himself to be a pompous ass. He had also succeeded in making Heero wonder if Dozini was on some sort of hallucinogenic drug when he approved Kuno for handling the Katana.

The Katana laid in it's holdings nearby. It was a silvery color with gold highlights. It stood as tall as the Wing Zero. It's only weapons were standard head mounted Vulcan cannons and two large Katana's that lay across it's back. Supposedly the AI system would work with the pilot and help the pilot control the Gundam a bit better. Heero just hoped it would make up for any of the mistakes that he expected Kuno to make.

"And I shalt reap my vengeance surly. That fiend won-"

"Excuse me," interrupted Herro.

"Pray tell, what rests upon thy noble mind," asked Kuno.

Heero decided to try something other then the Carrier's pilots' insults. "Why don't you do a check on your Gundam and those dolls? We are about to go into battle."

"I hath done so before we departed the airfield."

"You're the pilot of the Katana and the Orians rely on you and the Katana. You must triple check each one of them every twelve hours."

"Thy have a important point there, my equal." Kuno went to work while Heero entered his cockpit and sealed it.

In Heero's mind it would be a cold day in hell when Kuno could be considered his equal.

David Fitz and Wu Fei Chang sat in the green of the forest, with the rest of Fitz's team. They wore green fatigues, and camouflage paint. Fitz watched the building that was 1/2 a mile away, with a infrared video camera.

They had been watching the Rash Warehouse for nine hours. Rash was a hallucinogenic narcotic. Nothing had happened within the last few hours outside the visit of a major Rash baron, Bea Gaul. There were all sorts of warrants out for her that it wasn't funny. Half of the team would have admitted to hoping that she would become a victim of the Chi' Gundams.

Wu Fei was itching for action. The Rebuilt Altron lay under camouflage, on the back of a truck, half a mile away. Heero and Kuno were supposed to arrive that night. Wu Fei just hoped that Kuno was competent in battle. Wu Fei knew of chi'. He didn't like his chances against the Chi' Gundams.

"2 o'clock," simply said Clarence. All heads turned to see the form of the Night Raider, headed straight for the base. Wu Fei started running towards the Altron.

Dave turned to one of his men. "Get on the horn and find out where Zero and Katana are."

She had the Gundam unsling the staff on the NightRaider's back and her chi' willed the Halberd's blade to life. With ease it cut through a area nearby where a nest of machinegunners were. She quickly turned on the com.

"Hurricane, you can bring in Golem now."

The whole plant before her was alive with men with guns and people who were running scared. Akane leaned Hurricane foreword and took a swipe at the people before her. The razor edge of her shield ripped into the ground, sending a shower of derbies and body parts into the air.

Some people would never go home again, after tonight. Akane had learned to become cold in combat, when it came to the killing of these people. They never seemed to care about the people they poisoned.

As he reared back the right arm of the Golem, Ryouga extended it's index finger and charged up a Bakusai Tenketsu. Then Ryouga stabbed the hand into the building, intending to blow up the ground beneath the place. But something caught the Golem's arm.

To Ryouga's shock, the arm was pushed back, and a huge Suit burst out of the plant. It was at least one in half times as tall as Ryouga's suit. It's head looked like a snarling beast. The Mobile Suit's left-hand pulled back, curled into a fist, and four glowing red claws popped out of the knuckles.

Ryouga had the Golem push away, and the other MS Slashed at him with it's claws, leaving a mark across the chest of the Golem.

Ryouga grit his teeth in pain. "We've got a Mobile Suit here! It's a strong one!"

As his aura flared, Ranma brought up the right hand of the Phoenix and preformed a Moko Takabisha. The Unknown Suit was hit square in the back. The Suit quickly spun around and slashed at Phoenix. Ranma blocked with the shield and kicked the unknown suit in the chest.

The other suit toppled backward. By this time, Golem had it's sledge hammer unslung. With a mighty swing, the powerful hammer impacted with the other suit's chest leaving a large rent. Ranma hooked it with the beak of the shield and slung the other Mobile Suit a few hundred meters away. It landed at the feet of the Altron.

Ranma paid little attention to it and rushed the Unknown Suit while he was getting a weird sensation he never had before. He discounted it as a battle rush. He hadn't had a serious one for years.

=I'm not sure,= came Dave's voice. =It came from the Rash facility. I'm getting my squad out of here. Things are getting too hot.=

Suddenly the huge Mobile Suit threw the Phoenix off and got up. Wu Fei quickly hit it with both Dragon Fangs. They barely scratched the armor. The other Mobile Suit drew a gun from it's side and aimed it at Altron. Wu Fei drew the twin Trident. He opened fire with his Vulcan guns and hit his boosters hoping to hit the other Suit before it fired. He doubted he would make it.

The Night Raider body checked the Mobile Suit and it's gun went off wide. Altron accidently clipped NightRaider, but the damage was superficial.

Phoenix then latched on it's shield to the jaws of the head of the unknown suit. Energy started to gather while Hurricane grabbed the Mobile Suit's arm with the gun, keeping the gun pointed at the ground. Suddenly a large red blast was issued from the beak of the shield, taking off both the head and the shoulders of the Mobile Suit.

Wu Fei opened a channel to the Chi' Gundams. "What type of Mobile Suit was that?"

=We don't know,= came the voice of the pilot of the Night Raider as his picture came on the screen. =It's the first time that we've seen that. We expected them to show up, sooner or later.=

=Ranma,= came Akane's voice. =This guy was helping us.=

"I don't care. Who sent him?"

Wu Fei's picture came on the screen. "My name is Wu Fei. Ranma, you're Suit has the Zero system. Dozini had it-=

"I'm not letting Dozini scrap Phoenix," shouted Ranma as he lunged foreword at the Altron. Another Gundam landed in his path and brought him up short. The picture of a man wearing shorts and a green tank top came up.

=Calm down. The Zero system is just looking for other targets.=

"Who the hell are you?"

=My name isn't important. What that other suit was is important. I know the Zero system. I use it. You can't let it run away with you, or you'll end up hurting everyone here. You need to control Phoenix. Don't let Phoenix control you.=

=Listen to him Ranchan,= came Ucchan's voice.

=You don't even sound like yourself,= came Akane's voice.

=Ranma, I think he's right,= came Ryouga's voice. =You need to calm down.=

Ranma sat there and realized he was shaking. >What the hell am I doing? I was all set to kill these guys. I don't even know who's side they're on...<

Suddenly a series of blasts fell about the Gundams. All heads turned to see a silver and gold Gundam, flanked by white and yellow Gundam Dolls. Over the com came a voice Ranma wished was just a nasty flashback. =Foul Saotome. Relinquish your suits and my fair Akane and the Pigtailed Goddess or taste the metal of the Katana's justice.=

=How dare thee take the side of that fiend. I shalt destroy thee for thy treachery, fallen hero!=

He turned the Zero around just as Kuno landed behind him. Herro reached for the Beam saber, but the Katana's blades were already out and quickly scored 4 hits on the Zero, crippling the Gundam with ease. Sparks flew from the panels around Heero as the Wing Zero went dead.

The Katana quickly moved in and took a swipe. Wu Fei's cockpit threw a lot of sparks and a few screens exploded, showering him in pieces of LCD screens.

During this time the other Chi' Gundams had done as told. Golem slung Altron over it's shoulder in a frieman's carry and Hurricane did the same with Wing Zero. Night Raider was keeping the Orians at bay, while Hurricane borrowed Zero's Buster Rifle and fired a large shot that took out a fourth of the Orians while the rest scattered.

With the other Chi' Gundams out of the fight, the Orians became relaxed and preformed perimeter patrols. It was very likely, that this maneuver was to allow Kuno a bit more concentration for the battle.

Quickly Katana rushed up to Ranma and made four quick swipes in succession. Ranma was barely able to block each one. The Katana's blades began to glow and then it attacked with a series of powerful and fast swings at Phoenix. >When did Kuno learn to do this?<

Ranma saw the Katana attack in a series of Kuno's fast barrages of stabs. Suddenly one got through. It stabbed the Phoenix straight through the chest hitting a vital component. Sparks started to fly from the equipment around Ranma. Then the Phoenix exploded.

The Katana had crossed it's blades and was preparing a charge of it's own. Ranma thrust foreword and a red blast was issued. Kuno swept out his blades and the charge on the blades came forth in a blue blast. Both met and the resulting blast knocked the Gundams and the Orians off their feet.

Bea Gaul looked at the screens of her Mobile Suit. She saw the new Mobile Suits that had shown up seemed to be ganging up on the Phoenix. "Better get out of this mess," she mumbled to herself. She quickly turned her Ursa Minor around and started moving.

As he flew away, he could feel his flesh screaming out in pain.

A man in a dark room looked up as Bea Gaul came up on one of the LCD screens on his desk.

=Sir, we've lost plant 56 to a bunch of Gundams. My Ursa Major Shell was damaged to the point where it was unable to be used. My Ursa Minor is undamaged.=

The man behind the desk sighed. "We'll have to move up plans then. Bring your Ursa to Spectral Point. I want the Dark Shadow ready for deployment."

=Yes sir!= The screen went dead and the man started to contact one of his people.

"I need a group of Ursas made ready for combat."

When Heero and Wu Fei had finally gotten out of their cockpits, they found themselves in a dense area of jungle. Ryouga seemed to be sitting on the door of his cockpit while taking a breather. While Akane and Ukyou where taking stock of the damage on their Gundams. Wu Fei then made an observation.

"What is a woman doing, piloting a Gundam?"

"What did you say," shouted back Akane.

"You got something against it," yelled Ukyou. Soon both women hand hopped along their Gundams, rebounded off some trees, and landed on the shoulders of the Altron.

Wu Fei had to blink a few times to make sure his eyes were not playing tricks. "How did you two do that?"

"Years of training," replied Ukyou. Akane just looked at Wu Fei with a superior smirk.

Then the Phoenix flew in. It landed with simple grace. Then cockpit opened and Ranma fell out. Ukyou already had jumped to the ground and leapt to easily catch Ranma. Akane was right on her tail and Ryouga soon joined them.

"Akane, get a medical kit," said Ukyou. "Ranchan got hit hard in that battle." Akane quickly made a few hops back to the Hurricane’s cockpit.

Heero and Wu Fei finally got down to the ground and walked over. They noticed the minor burn marks and bruises all over Ranma's bare arms, and his face. "What happened to him," asked Heero.

Ukyou looked up at him. "They Chi' System lets us use our chi' Techniques with the Gundam. It also lets us get hit when the Gundams get hit. It sometimes results in bruises."

Heero kneeled next to Ranma and pulled up part of his blood red shirt, to show a large gash. "This ever happen before," he asked the shocked looking Ukyou.

"No, I never seen-"

"What happened," demanded Akane as she walked over.

"Looks like Ranma here took worse then he expected," said Heero in a plain way.

Ryouga turned to Ukyou. "We need some parts. Ukyou, you better take Wu Fei here and get Rain."

Ukyou started to complain. "But Ranchan-"

"Would tell you to do the same," said Heero with a heartless tone, while he started to mend Ranma's side. "We need our Gundams repaired, or next time we'll be taken easily."

"Hey Rain!"

Rain sat up in bed, abruptly. Standing right next to his side of the bed was Ukyou. The ragged expression on her face said it all. The Chi' Gundam pilots were in it to their necks. "What time is it?"

"3 am," said a unknown voice coming from the doorway. Rain looked up and recognized the Gundam pilot Wu Fei.

"Let me guess. You need some emergency repairs, right?"

"Yes," said Ukyou as she handed him a list.

Rain turned on a light and reviewed the list. "This is a lot of stuff. And I can't order most of this so soon after a battle. It'll bring the Cartels on this place like a swarm of angry wasps... Wake up Hal and start going through the scrap pile. I'll join you in a little bit." The two guests left without a word. Rain turned to his wife and shook her shoulder. "Kate, we have a lot of work to do."

Hal answered that as he walked along the piles. "Me and Rain used to raid old battle fields. We would always haul the stuff back here. We use all this stuff for spare parts. Thanks to this scrap yard, we can keep our prices cheep and make a killing on the market."

"Also they packed away the ammo from these thing in a ten times locked civil shelter out in the woods," said Ukyou with a grin. "Recently it's beginning to start to run low, but it's kept us in business for a while."

Rain looked at the Wing Zero after he rode up with a dumptruck full of supplies. It was a real life legend before him. He noticed Ranma leaning against the tree while bandaged up pretty well. Ryouga, Akane, and Heero were removing damaged pieces of the Gundams. He gestured to Kate and Hal.

"Okay. Let's see if we can't have these suits back up to usual standards by tomorrow. I'll be getting the heavy repairs MS in operation. Hal, take damage assessments on the Phoenix and the Wing Zero. Ask the pilot of the Zero if you're not sure. Kate, start working on repairs for Altron. If Wu Fei gives you any back talk, tell him to go soak his head."

To his left he could hear his daughter ask, "What do I do, daddy?"

Rain turned to his daughter with a smile. "Go make sure Ranma is okay."

Half the group was enjoying breakfast, while Akane and Hal worked on Zero and Kate continued her work on Altron. Wu Fei and Heero had been called over to the picnic spot for a bit of a talk.

"You guys ever get any training with your chi'," Ranma plainly asked. Heero and Wu Fei both admitted to having no training in that field. "Ryouga, give them a demonstration."

Ryouga simply walked nine feet away, faced away from the group, and shouted, "Bakusai Tenketsu," while jabbing his forefinger into the ground. The two Gundam pilots barely believed it when the ground before Ryouga exploded.

Then Ryouga began generating a green aura. He started gathering chi' energy to his palm. He then aimed his palm at the open jungle and shouted, "Shishi Hokoudan!" A ball of pure chi' ripped through the forest.

For a finally, Ryouga kicked up a rock. He caught it with his hand and tossed it into the air. Ryouga looked straight it and a volley of Chi' like bullets were issued from his eyes, pelting the rock to dust.

Wu Fei and Heero kept their eyes on Ryouga realizing that he was deadly without any weapons. "Would you mind taking up some training from us," Ranma asked in an innocent way.

Heero surveyed the damage Ryouga did. "Is that all he can do?"

"No," replied Ryouga as he walked over. "But I might as well save it for another time."

"Does this have anything to do with how Ukyou and that woman were jumping those impossible distances," asked Wu Fei.

"Ukyou is a girl," deadpanned Ranma. "And yeah. We use our chi' for those jumps."

Akane quickly got in the cockpit of the nearest Gundam, which happened to be the Wing Zero. Seeing his Gundam occupied, Heero boarded the Phoenix. Wu Fei got into the Hurricane, which happened to be unused, and the Altron was not ready for combat.

Ryouga and Ukyou got into their own Gundams in record time. Lisa, Kate, and Hal ran into the jungle so they could take cover. Ranma hid behind one of the huge roots of the tree he was leaning against.

In Wing Zero Akane brought the twin Buster Rifle to bear and reached out with her chi' to trigger the Buster Rifle before remembering it wasn't a Chi' System. The incoming Suits, two Ursa Major Mobile Shells and four Ursa Minor Mobile Suits, landed. They opened fire on Akane's first. Wing Zero got slammed into a tree, easily.

Heero couldn’t find any triggers for the weapons. The Zero system started up about him and starts giving suggestions. Heero was having a hard time understanding them. Wu Fei was having similar problems with the Hurricane.

NightRaider drew and ignited her Beam Halberd. Quickly she lashed out at a near by Ursa Minor. It blocked with one arm, and fired a suppression rifle at her with the other. NightRaider got forced back as shells peppered the chestplate.

Ryouga quickly raised one of Golem's arms and let lose with a Repeating Shishi Hokoudan. He forced back three Ursa Minors and the Ursa Majors. This allowed Akane the window to raise and fire Zero's Twin Buster Rifle. The blast took out a Ursa Minor and a Ursa Major, as well as a good deal of forest.

Wu Fei managed to ram Hurricane into the Ursa Minor that was attacking Ukyou. Both Mobile Suits went sprawling, and Wu Fei managed to get the Hurricane to roll away. Ukyou quickly brought down the Beam Halberd on the Ursa Minor's abdomen, causing it to explode.

What the Zero System was showing him made perfect sense. With the help of the Phoenix, Heero brought out an aura made of his chi'.

His chi' brushed the controls and both the head mounted Vulcan Cannons and the shoulder mounted Machine Cannons. Not expecting the retaliation, the Ursa Major caught the shells at point blank range. The Mobile Suit staggered back and Heero ripped at it's abdomen with the beak of the shield.

The experience was a incredible rush for Heero. He had never felt anything like this. He could feel the suit. He felt the shells leaving the guns. He could feel the dents and rips in the Phoenix’s armor. He could fee the wings. He could feel the energy that feed the entire Mobile Suit. He could even feel the light energy link that allowed the Phoenix Sheild's Blast Cannon to be triggered. Heero had never been in tune with another Mobile Suit, like he was in tune with the Phoenix, in his life. The experience was intoxicating and breath taking at the same time. Heero couldn't help but laugh.

Remembering the files saying the Phoenix was closely biased on the Wing Zero, Heero checked if the Suit had a beam Saber. To his good fortune it did. Heero used his chi' to ignite it and slashed the Ursa Minor across the chest, causing it to explode.

The Ursa Major was dealing a powerful beating on her. >You're not a martial artist. You never were. You shouldn't have even been given the Hurricane. Ucchan can pilot her NightRaider, five times better then you can.<

"Shut up, Ranma," She growled.

The poundings were leaving large rips in the Gundam’s armor, and Ranma's mocking became worse. >You can't do any better then this, Tomboy? You're pathetic Akane! You don't deserve to be even called a martial artist. You can't eve-<

"SHUT UP!" Akane let the Zero system have it's way.

She drew and ignited the beam saber, slicing the other Mobile Suit across the chest. Then she smacked it with the shield. The Ursa Major was about to fire again when suddenly a stream of bright flashed cut between them. The Ursa Major looked towards the source to see Ranma firing a stream of chi' bullets. Akane took the distraction to blow the Ursa Major away with the Buster Rifle.

Akane turned to see Ranma sitting on the ground with a smirk. He had been wanting to try his new chi' technique out under combat conditions. His smirk drove her over the edge. She opened fire with the shoulder mounted Gattling Cannons while switching on the PA.

"You Fucking Son Of A Bitch! Quit Mocking Me," she screamed.

=Shut up! This prick has been mocking me to long! I'm just giving him what he deserves!= Akane had split the Buster rifle and hand one aimed at Pheniox and the other aimed at Ranma. =Now back off!=

From behind Rain used his construction suit to grab her, while the left arm jabed it's welder's attachment into the exposed rip in the shoulder. The left arm fell dead. Quickly Golem slapped the right arm up, and instead of hitting Ranma, the blast went wide.

Ukyou, out of concern for the others, quickly took off Zero's head with her Beam Halberd. Over the Com everyone could hear Akane screaming.

"Hurry up and get that suit on one of the trucks. We got to move fast," called out Heero.

"Are we going home," Lisa asked Ranma.

Ranma gave a sad sight and simply said, "No... We can't go back home after this... The Cartels are probably already burning it down..."

"Care to let us know just what the hell is going on," asked Wu Fei, who heard what Ranma said.

"It's a long story. It began when-"

Duo Maxwell walked down the hall towards the hanger. Heero and Wu Fei had been missing for a few days, and no one knew for sure where they were.

Three days ago he had been informed by Relena of the disappearance, the existence of the Chi' Gundams, and the appearance of the new Mobile Suit. Kuno had made an accusation that Heero and Wu Fei had betrayed the Earth Sphere Unified Nation.

Duo was appalled at this and got on the first fight headed for Earth. Duo knew he had to go into the fray. He also knew Heero would also drop everything to help him if the situation was reversed. At least that's what he kept telling himself.

Of course Hirde, who still worked for and with him, argued most of the time before he left. She feared for his life and kept looking for a way she could help. Of course she didn't believe that being left in charge of his salvage business was helping him.

Trowa had yet to be located, and Quatre had to wrap things up with his business. That meant the Deathscythe Hell would be rebuilt first. Duo was also looking foreword to seeing Howard and piloting the DeathScythe Hell again.

As he entered the hanger, the first thing that caught his attention was that instead of rebuilding Deathscythe, the team was building a new Gundam from scratch. Of course the next thing he noticed was an old woman (at least that's what he assumed) who was about 2 or 3 feet tall, bouncing over to him on a walking stick, with Relena walking next to her.

"Hi Duo," said Relena with a sad look.

"Hello," said the sunken troll thingy. "I am Ku-lon of the Joketsuzoku Amazon Tribe."

"Um... Hi..." said Duo after an awkward feeling. "So, where's Deathscythe?"

"There's been a change in plans," said Relena. "Nodoka heard about the new Mobile Suit from Howard. Now she is helping Howard build a Chi' Gundam for you."

"But I can't use my chi'," Duo said simply.

Cologne cackled a bit. "I'm here to train you, sonny."

"Okay... Can I ask why she and Cologne are helping us?"

Cologne sat on a desk and took a breath. "It all begins back before the Eve war. And if I told you the whole story, you wouldn't believe me. Surfice to say the Drug Cartels are involved and even if your government doesn't believe me, you will end up working with the other Chi' Gundams."

"Great... Just great," muttered Duo.

"Time to get to work. You have a lot of training to do before you can use your toy over there."
