History Of My Gamming!!!

Hi and Welcome!! to My World. I am a Gammer and maybe You are too.
I am Drakenfyr. I have Been Gamming most of my Life. My Father had an atari 2600. The first two games I ever remember playing are Joust, Robotron, Spy Vs. Spy and Keystone Keepers. These games were for the Atari 2600 - 7600. When the Imac came out and it was a computer build into a montior, I remeber when my father owned a Keyboard with a computer built into it. We had controllers, and Cartriges, Tapes, and Floppy's. We had a pen board for drawing. The Atari was very fun, even though I no longer want to go back and play those Games.

Have you Played any Retro Games? What Games are your Favourite?

Then later the Nintendo Entertainment System came out.

The N.E.S was a really fun system, I remeber playing Mario Bros. All the time with the family. My favourite Mario Bros. was Mario Bros. 2 because it was so unique, I also liked that you had this dumb Dino named Birdetta, would always shoot eggs at you and you could just pick them up and throw them back at it in order to win. I also like the Pot levels, It was fun being chased. I also liked Dragon Quest, although that was many years ago and I have klots to write about. Now I am going to talka bout the Super NESS, I enjoy Zelda for the first time on the super Nes, It was the system that really got me in to RPG's, I rember playing super mario bros. with my father all the time. One of my favourite games for SNES was Phalanx, whick is a space shooter, and on the cover there was this ZZ TOP looking guy with a bango, LOL, I know. I also enjoyed Mario RPG and have not had the chance to beat another Mario RPG style game.

I will talk more about NESS later on in this Article .... But The Next Styles of Gamming were inovative the kind of Gamming that meant you needed to upgrade from 8 MB of SDRAM to 16MB and That 850 MB Hardrive Just wasn't Cutting it Anymore. Now my Pc needs a Video Card 3DFX Voodoo 4 MB 50 MHZ 3D accelerator.

Robotron
One day out in the little town of Verona, I played this game called C&C, Command & Conquer. This was the first RTS I had ever had the chance to play. I remember the opening video, it was this guy Seth talking to me, telling me from God to Kand to Seth I am his right hand, and I have a task for you. He pupped up this piture of this guy and says, he need to be eliminated, then you go on a mission. This game put you in control of a squad of about 16 Soldiers with Assult Rifles, and 2 Hummers with guns. The next game in the series was Red Alert. In red alert Stalin built this mechine and goes back in time and kill Hitler! Sound great right? Wrong, he end's up capturing Albert Einstein and trying to force him to build Nukes and all sorts of Death mechines. Well the Allies weren't going to have that, and they called on me to rescue him. This is a really great game both C&C and also Red Alert, I mention Red Alert because it has a skirmish mode, and I like that offline multiplayer. I remeber when i got my first MCV I though it was for squahing things until my freind show me how to open it up, then you build a powerplant and then a barracks. I would also like to Highlight Cammand & Conquer Generals and Red Alert 3, I guess they could not go to far from the original style so it may have lost it's touch compared to newer RTS games, But I think they just got it so perfect that it didn't need to change.

I also enjoyed the whole campaign of War Craft 1,2,3; Age of Empires 1,2,3; and Also thoroughly loved the Star Craft Series all of them!

I currently play X-com Enemy Within, Cities Skylines, Tales of Zestiria, Shadow of Mordor, Civilizations 5, and Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition.
