This is the stone village of skara brae dating from 3,100 b.c. some 500 years before the the great pyramid of cheops in egypt
uncovered by a violent storm in 1850 this is preserved almost totally it has linked homes with flintstone style furniture box beds and indoor toilets
this village was populated by early faming people for about 600 years from 3100bc to 2450 bc
