Sam's First Seven Months
(continued)

Sam is always ready to have fun. He'll sometimes whine when he's bored and will immediately cheer up when you start to play with him. He loves any type of interaction and physical stimulation. He shrieks with joy when you roll him from side to side, stretch his legs over his head, jump around holding him, run playing soccer with him, and when you throw him up in the air. He enjoys peek-a-boo games, funny sounds and faces, fake sneezes, bouncing balls, seeing himself in the mirror, and carrying him through the room like an airplane (and low buzzing Zoe). He loves watching other boys play, and laughs hysterically when they act silly with him to make him laugh. He gets all excited and rocks his entire body back and forth, as if trying to break free and partake in the action. He has the same reaction to animals, especially big dogs.

At about six months, Sam began teething, and started taking a pacifier. His greatest interest and discovery of the world became putting anything and everything into his mouth. He likes chewing on the label of all his toys. He doesn't talk yet, but he gently hums and sings vowels to himself, especially when traveling in the back seat of the car.
