Canadian Comedians |

Honorable Mention: Tom Green. He was crazy on his talk show. He was crazier in his movies. He married Drew Barrymore. The bum bum song/ video = awesome. And if anyone saw the video/song "I'm gonna throw the piggy off the hill"....you've seen the funniest thing of all time |

Rick Moranis. Funny guy but i think we were laughing at him, not with him. |

10. Harland Williams: From hosting Premium blend, to scoring the leading role in Rocket Man, Harland has made a name for himself....kind of. He's the cop from Dumb and Dumber that drinks piss, or the stoner from Half Baked who killed the Cop/Horse. You may not know him by name, but you'll always remember this chinless wonder for his comedy. |

9. Martin Short: I'm not gonna argue, he's lost control with his Glick obsession, but that doesnt take away from the greatness he once was. With such movies like the 3 Amigos, Innerspace, and Captain Ron, this former Saturday Night Live writer is too lovable to turn down. It was the geniusness of his movie Clifford that got him the 9 spot. I literally pissed myself when I first saw it. Not a waterfall of piss, but piss no less. I know many don't find him funny, but you have to admit, you love to hate him. |

8. The Cast of Kids in the Hall: I already know what your thinking....those guys arent funny at all....well I SQUISH YOUR HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I dont care. I love that show. There are so many legends on the show like the goofy Kevin McDonald, who carries the tradition of there being a McDonald on every funny sketch show (yes i know there was no Mcdonald on In Living Color, but look closely, i said funny sketch show). Theres Mark McKinney, who went on to join the cast of SNL. Theres Scott Thompson...whose raging homosexuality wasnt funny and neither was he........Dave Foley, who was very successful in NewsRadio and now hosts celeb poker not to mention his voice cameos as the Baldwin brothers in South Park: Bigger longer and uncut and was gender confusing Chris in Its Pat. You can't forget Bruce McCulloch, who went on to perform alongside Will Ferrel in DYCK, the Watergate Scandle comedy staring a couple babes before they hit it big. Thank you for your crazy antics kids in the hall. You proved that men can put on dresses and still be funny. We'll never forget you. |

7. Catherine O'Hara: a legend to all that grew up with her as the mother in Home Alone, O'Hara has quite the resume. She starred in the awkwardly, stacked movie BeetleJuice (for such a crazy movie- Geena Davis, Micheal Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Jeffrey Jones and directed by Tim Burton...that's a lot of stars) and can be currently seen in many of the improvised masterpieces of the day like A Mighty Wind and Best in Show alongside greats like Eugene Levy, and pretty much most of the cast of This is Spinal Tap. She's one of the few comdians to ever be nominated for an Oscar (for her and Eugene Levy's song: a kiss at the end of a rainbow) which they sincerely preformed during the Academy Awards. I'm not gonna lie either, their performance was the most emotional thing I've ever seen. |

6. Jim Carey: Brilliant in movies like Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, The Mask, and Liar Liar, this Canadian is one of the most famed. He became famous on his impressions and work on In Living Color as "the white guy". He has, however, made his fair share of flops and non-comedies. The majestic, the truman show, the grinch....these movies were so not funny that his image was badly hurt. He did, however, revamp his acting personna with his great role in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Although sometimes a little too wacky, his improvisation and appreciation for performers like Andy Kaufman lands him the six spot. |

5. John Candy: What can I say? He was truly the man. From Cool Runnings Olympic Athlete to Catcher in Brewsters Millions, he was a man who loved his sports and even owned a Canadian Football team. He worked alongside some of the greatest: Steve Martin, Richard Preyor, Dan Aykroid, and Macaulay Culkin. He was the greatest annoyance in movie history. The man you hated so much, but fell in love with at the end. Planes, Trains and Automobiles.....Uncle Buck....The Great Outdoors....some of the funniest movies in history. I tip the cap John Candy. You're a very missed man. |

4. Dan Aykroyd: Such a man to marvel at. He's been the star of so many good movies its rediculus. He's just a legend. Think about it. Name one great movie between 1988 and 1995 that he wasn't in. Ghostbusters, Coneheads, Trading Places, BLUES BROTHERS. He also had cameos in uncountless movies following the pact between SNL members to share the wealth of there movies. His ability to act almost as great as his comedy. He's played almost every type of character ever. He's a truly gifted celebrity, and a truly gifted Canadian. |
