Music
I play piano, I am teaching myself the Gaelic harp, and at this point, that's all I can do.  Singing...NO.  I cannot sing, much to my dismay, and I think I am told that at least once a week.
The Gaelic Harp (And Harps in General)--My Explanation...what fun!
Music That I Like, is basically what this list is, although it used to be titled something about the stack of CDs that I currently carry around w/me...It's in no particular order, not really

John Mayer-Room for Squares, Inside Wants Out, Any Given Thursday, Heavier Things, As Is Vol. 1 (Live)-EP John Mayer is my favorite singer-type-person, it's actually sad how long this took me to figure out, however.  Although Ali figured it out long before I did, or assumed it, more correctly.  And I wish he wasn't quite so popular, but it would be sad for him if he got unpopular, so oh well...seeing how long Graham Colton's explanation is, this one is now longer.  I've been to five John Mayer concerts, three of which were with Counting Crows...but I am NOT a groupie, it's my mom's fault, if you don't believe me tell me and then I will put it on my website...and we went to the concert March 23, in Lansing--really really really really wonderful, and have tickets for August 6th at Pine Knob YES!  And we're going to one more...according to me.  Hopefully one in July.
Graham Colton-self-titled CD, it's independent It's a sad story: He?/they? opened for Counting Crows before, my mom saw them twice and really liked them, then he opened for Counting Crows AND John Mayer at the DTE Energy Music Theatre this summer, but Emma's mom...I mean, we were late, and missed the opening act, which was them, which was sad.  And then Graham Colton was in Hamtramck, at Small's, on a school night, and we STUPIDLY didn't go, even though I told Mommy we'd regret it, like when Rhett Miller was at the Magic Stik (?) and we didn't go because of a Civics test...anyway, we got the CD finally, and I love it very very very much...wow, long story...We also saw him at The Shelter, which was a scary place, but it was so little, it was really cool, and we got the whole band's autographs on the back of our really cool shirts...his first real CD with a major record label, Drive, comes out May 25th! THREE DAYS!!!
Counting Crows-August and Everything After, Recovering the Satellites, This Desert Life, Hard Candy, Films About Ghosts Yes, well, what is there to say?  They're great, and my mom's not only obsessed with them, but Adam wore the hat she knitted in the "Big Yellow Taxi" video.  I saw them once besides the 3 co-headlining concerts this past summer with John Mayer that we went to.  We're seeing them at least once this summer, when Graham Colton is opening for them!
Rhett Miller-The Instigator Really great.  Really.  Lead singer of...
The Old 97's-Wreck Your Life, Satellite Rides They are funny, and wonderful, and we are seeing them sometime this year, if not in Chicago, then THEY WILL COME TO DETROIT.  We need to get more of their CDs, a new one is out this year some time.
Fountains of Wayne
-Welcome Interstate Managers, their self-titled CD as well I really like them, most of their songs are actually better than "Stacey's Mom".  Really, I like them.
Damien Rice- O I love his music, his voice and it's very different and it makes me feel intelligent.  Yeah.
Guster
-Keep It Together I like some of their songs, and they're opening for John Mayer in March...they're growing on me.--Now I really like them, we have Goldfly too, I haven't listened to it enough yet though, and Maria's copying the one with "Fa Fa" on it--Lost and Gone Forever.  At the concert w/John Mayer, they were much more manly sounding, which was good.
rubyhorse
-Rise Saw them in concert in the summer of 2002?  I guess...cool music, some of their lyrics aren't the best, but I like them a lot.  And they're Irish.
The Very Best of Sting and the Police Sting is great, I like all his CDs, but this list used to be the CDs that I carry around with me, and this is the only one I do, although my favorite songs aren't all on it.
U2-The Best of 1980-1990, All That You Can't Leave Behind I like U2, but a lot of their songs annoy me, so I like these albums the best.
The Wallflowers
-Bringing Down the Horse No longer in my pile of CDs...oh well they're good, although the poor guy has Bob Dylan for his father...
Nine Days
-The Madding Crowd Well, actually, where did this CD go?
Switchfoot
- The Beautiful Letdown Their music is really great, and the songs, but it seemed sort of Christian rock to us.  Well, not Christian necessarily, but it was something.  So we decided to call it Buddhist, but anyway, on iTunes once, we looked them up, and all their independent records are in the genre "Inspirational" although this on is "Rock."  But they're still good songs.  And Switchfoot has won many awards.
