| There are already 2 updates for Battlefield. 1 able to be bought from shops, and the other downloadable. The downloadable 1, isn't really an expansion, it is a mod, but close enough. The mod is called 'Desert Combat', and basicly keeps the same maps, but changes team, appearances and vehicles, to replicate the Gulf War. It is AWESOME as weapons have changed. The new vehicles include upgraded tanks, AA Gun Trucks, helicopters (the hind, blackhawk and the apache!!) The skins of the characters have changed, but the damage is about the same ratio campared with the normal verson of Battlefield 1942! The real expansion, available from all true game shops (GO E.B) is called 'Road to Rome' the features are:- 6 new maps, 8 new vehicles, wait wait, its not as drastic as 'Desert Combat'. The vehicles include a new German BF-110, British Mosquito and just some new tanks, but really, is it that different. Another update, just a few more vehicles for 'Destert Combat' such as the dirt buggy, F-14/15, stinger sites, controlable cruise missiles (very fun for taking choppers out) and thats all I have found out. Although this isnt a popular section, plz put something in the guestbook about it...plz If you want nething added, or just to correct me, plz do it through the guestbook. |
