Everything has energy. You use energy everyday. You use energy while you are sleeping. The sun provides energy as does the wind. Energy surrounds us.
Reiki is an alternative natural healing method. It can be combined with medical treatments and will not interfere with them. Reiki will help the healing process.
It is not a magical, mystical cure. It utlilizes the natural energy that is in and surrounds all living creatures. At times there will be an imbalance due to emotional, physical or mental stress. Or the imbalance could be due to an illness. Reiki will help to restore the balance so that healing may take place. In some cases it has quickened the healing time.
Perhaps all you are looking for is relaxation. Reiki will provide this also for you. Prevention is the key.
Reiki and Religion
It's a loaded question, but a good one. Is Reiki for Christians? In the bible we know that Jesus healed the sick by laying his hands on them. As does a Reiki practitioner. Where does your gift come from? I believe my gift comes from the same place the energy is from. There are many names you could use, I prefer God. Everyone has a different belief. But most would agree in a highter being. Whatever your religion is, usually a higher being is involved. That is one thing we can all agree upon. The article quotes scipture pertaining to gifts and the healing work of Christ. Also there are stories from Nuns and Priests, people of faith, who use Reiki. Doesn't man strive to be Christ like? Doesn't it say in the bible we were made from his image? If your intent is honest, selfless and for goodness, I believe God would have no problem working through you. Reiki really is all about intent. But that's just my feelings. What are yours?
