This was inspired by the winter. Mainly its property of making my hands and feet cold all the time.

Draco is always cold. He's always been cold. His hands, white and pretty as they are, are like ice. At night, unless he is under a thick blanket, he shivers. Even in the summer, he huddles under the covers and sleeps curled up in a ball. Whenever he goes outside in the winter, he bundles himself up with scarves and a fur coat, and even though he feels sorry for the animals for a moment, he then thinks that Harry's unfailing compassion for any random animal that he happens across has been getting to him.

Harry is always warm. Whenever Harry comes to his bed at night, or he comes to Harry's, he likes to stay and cuddle with him for a long moment. He tells himself it isn't cuddling, it's Harry actually being useful for once as something other than a good... well, he didn't know what Harry was, but a good fuck sounds about right. Even though he usually didn't cuddle with someone who was just a good fuck -- wait... The entire logic was too complicated for Draco, and when he was in Harry's warm comfortable arms, he didn't like to think.

Sometimes, in Potions, Snape pairs the two of them up 'as an experiment,' he says. Draco doesn't really understand that logic, after all, Draco is smart, and Harry isn't a bumbling idiot like that Longbottom, so he doesn't quite understand the entire point of it all. But back to the topic, whenever Harry and Draco are paired together, Draco is always itching to take Harry's hand because it is so warm, despite the cold dungeons. He doesn't but he wants to, and that's what important.

Tonight when he comes to Harry's bed, the first thing he does is settle in Harry's arms and hold his hands. Harry looks surprised at this display of affection, which as Draco's said before, 'Isn't my thing.' But he nevertheless holds Draco for a long, long time.

Steady breathing tells him that Draco is asleep. Draco has never slept in Harry's bed before. Harry lays down carefully, and tucks Draco in next to him.

End. Feedback is much appreciated.
