When we lost Tristan January 8, 2001, I was absolutely lost. I searched for support groups in our area only to come up with nothing. There were no SIDS support groups to be found. In order to attend one we would have to travel an hour away. So, what did I do? I turned to the Internet. One of the first sites I found was SIDS Families. When I found it, I pretty much quit looking elsewhere. This site had EVERYTHING I needed. From suggested reading, to how to deal with those "special" days, to online support groups. So, I instantly joined the email support group. It has been my LIFELINE. I have made so many great friends through this site that are there for me 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Not long after stumbling onto this site. I had the privilege of meeting the SIDS Families creator, Lydia. I instantly formed an amazing bond with this woman. I just wish I could explain to all of you what she has done for me and what she means to me. She is a very special lady and Lydia, I KNOW Jacob is so proud of his Mommy. He is running around in Heaven bragging about all the good you and his Daddy are doing for others.
I must give credit where credit is due.... Lydia helped me every step of the way in creating my first website. This new site was pretty much ALL Lydia's creation. I mentioned to her that I wanted to change everything to Winnie-the-Pooh and that I wanted to make it "better" (now that I knew how to make a website)... Well, Lydia went to work and made all the beautiful graphics....... Lydia, THANK YOU so much. From the bottom of our hearts, you and Edward are very special people. I am sorry about the circumstances that brought us together but I am thankful to God everyday for bringing you're family and mine together.... I LOVE YOU! |
