Searching for the right path.

With your friendship I am like a lake

Much stronger than w/out you, but still missing something.

With your companionship it is though I am like the sea

More complete than before

Yet tossed and blown to shore.

Unknowing of how, when, or why

I ask myself what would make me whole like the ocean

Because that is what I seek for, to be endless like this amazing wonder.

As all of these other wonders travel through me they find my heart

Which is somewhat similar to the ocean, endless.

When everything comes together @ my heart I realize it is your love that is missing.

Patiently I await that love so that together we can form that endless ocean.

Why do I feel what I feel?

Why is this love such a big deal?

Now that I’ve fallen too deep to walk away

I regret calling you each night and day.

I tried to grab branches along the fall,

But the strings of my heart were too short for them all.

In a short time this relationship became so strong

Now I lay here wandering where things went wrong.

Waiting to here your distant voice

Preparing myself to hear your decision/your choice.

Crazy is what you said I was from the start

If I’d only known you were trying to tell me you were gonna break my heart.

The appearance of your heart is no longer the same

It was changed by a new face, a new name.

How could it change so fast

Will it ever find someone to last?

Turned on and off like a switch

Denying feeling more than a twitch.

Killing those you are loved by

True love you continue to deny.

You walk away with little hesitation

Leaving those behind with multitudes of frustration.

Will there ever be a regret

A need that I could have eventually met.

I roll over to see the pillow bare

And from within my heart I feel another tear.

Missing you every moment I am awake

Dreaming of your beautiful being every breathe I take.

Longing for our lives to be shared

Knowing our love will be dared.

Hoping that all we feel is true

Wishing for my journey to end with you.

My feelings flow within like a stream

I pinch myself to make sure it isn’t all a dream.

It’s time again to step up to the plate

The swing of the bat will seal your fate.

You need to forget everything up until now

But you are haunted by the past so…

The ball is pitched, you swing and hear foul.

The count is now full and you begin to sweat

Choosing not to swing you don’t want to be a regret.

From within you are now filled with fear

Because you know a critical decision is near.

The pitch is released and you choose to let it go by.

Do you regret this and ask yourself why?

Or are you just scared because of what happened in the past and refuse to try?

You hear the umpire say strike three.

The game is us, and the final pitch is me.

The decision has been made and you are set free.

Today, I will try not to shed another tear

For fear that it might freeze.

I step outside to feel the cool breeze,

But find that my sense of feeling is obsolete.

I try to run, but am chased by an enormous fleet.

A fleet not of man, but of heart.

I close my eyes and pray for a new start.

Praying for God to make this pain disappear.

I’m afraid that your ghost may always be near.

Throughout the day I try to find the sunshine.

Although within all I hear is broken pieces as they continue to whine.

I suppose life and love is a game that’s also better with two.

So I ask, “why couldn’t the game pieces be me and you?”

What is life???….

Is life about fulfillment, love, and happiness?

Or is life about being content?

Life, like beauty among other things…lies in the eyes of the beholder

Each of us has a purpose in life.

Most of us aren’t sure of that purpose, but rest assure we have one.

Life is filled w/questions…some we don’t have an answer to

…some we wish we didn’t have the answer to!

People are put in our lives for various reasons…

Remember...we are not promised tomorrow so live today

Like it’s your last…

If you love someone, make sure they know it!

At least you will be able to rest knowing that you gave it all.

It’s great to finally have a friend

That I know will be there till the end.

Before, I have had friends I called my best,

But after time they ended up like all the rest.

Now that I have confided in you,

This friendship is by far, the most true.

I know that you will always be there.

And I cherish your friendship because it’s so rare.

You still love me even when I’m wrong.

When I’m weak, you help me to be strong.

I’m so glad we have a friendship that’s life long.

You make me smile, even when in grief.

That’s why you’re my best friend, Chief!

Last night I had a dream that you were here.

The beauty of your face was so evident and clear.

It’s a picture that I will keep in my mind

Until the path that leads to you, I find.

I can’t begin to explain any of this

But the smile on my face explains all my bliss!

I long for the day of our meeting,

Hoping it will be undeniable and worth repeating.

Precious is what I know you are!!!

I continue to wish the distance wasn’t so far.

We were obviously destined to meet,

But He knew there were things we must first defeat.

I wish you were here to see this place!

I can’t wait to look into your eyes.

The smile on my face, I will be unable to disguise.

I feel like I have received a gift from above

Who has filled me with so much joy and love.

What could I possibly have done to deserve this?

I get chills thinking of that first kiss.

Anxiously I await to have you by my side.

My only wish is that the distance was a shorter ride.

I open up to you and give you my all.

My heart is yours each and every wall.

Life is like a big jigsaw puzzle.

There are so many pieces to be put together.

With time and patience you link them one to the other.

Throughout the process you try to fit pieces together that don’t belong.

So you must continue to try to find where they fit.

You almost have it all together and there is one missing piece.

For so long you have looked for that one piece.

Along the way you try to make pieces fit to fill that void,

But no piece seems to be just right.

Then one day that perfect piece appears,

And now life like the puzzle is complete.

What is it like to live in a fairy tale land?

That's how I feel with each touch of your hand.

Where does each road go

Or is that something I should even want to know?

Live for the future, maybe that's something I should not do,

But it's hard not to when I found someone like you.

I try to take each day as they pass,

But it's hard when this love consumes so much mass.

Before I met you I had so many regrets

I was filled with pain and fret.

You came along and changed it all

Before long I knew I had once again taken the fall.

This fall is like no other before

It's not hard work or a chore.

You've showed me what it is to live and love

I didn't see it coming because it came from up above.

I could not see this because I was looking down

Dwelling on a past that caused a frown.

Thankful for all that I had to feel

To find this love that is real.
