what's a pokemon? - you seriously don't know? well, it's all down there, all the basic info you'll need to know.
Pokemon are creatures that come in all shapes, sizes and personalities. Some live in oceans, others in caves, old towers, rivers, or tall grass. Some Pokemon are plant-like; some are animal-like and some are even ghost like. There are, so far, about 250 different types of Pokemon and if you want to find out about every single one of them, ther is a fantastic Pokedex at the Official Pokemon Website .
The adorable Pokemon to the left is Pikachu, the most famous Pokemon of all! Anyway, all pokemon have their special attacks which they learn automatically but if their trainer teaches them, they can do things their normal fellow types can't. Some good example of these special Pokemon are...1) Rudy's Starmie which can use electric attacks. This is very special since water Pokemon such as Starmie itself are weak against electric attacks. 2) AJ's Sandshrew which can dive in water. Again, this is another Pokemon who can do something not any Sandshrew can do. Sandshrew's are weak against water and it actually harms them but AJ's Sandshrew was raised and trained to do otherwise.
Some Pokemon are really cute but others, on the other hand can look ferocious which has it's good points. Anyway, let's get to the more important stuff...what do you do with a Pokemon.? Some people raise them just as pets who can keep them company. Some train Pokemon and use them to battle other Pokemon, like Ash, who want to become THE Pokemon Master. Anyway, Pokemon can be alot of fun, from playing with you in the pool, to accompanying you in different places, they can be just a load of fun! But problem is that, like our normal everyday animals, they can't talk...well, in human language that is. ^-^ They talk, saying their own name...example, a Pikachu talks like this,"Pika Pika PikaChu Pika Chu Pika" or something like that! kekee Well, there's not really much to say is there? If you're looking for a Pokemon website which can tell you ALL about them, there are heaps out there.
