| Fushigi yuugi, A story of based ancient chinese legend Universe of the four gods. A young girl studing for her high school entrance exams. Her mother pressures her to study really hard night and day and its stressing the 14 year old Maika to death. One day studing at the library with her best friend Yui, there is an earth quake and they get knocked into a restricted area of the library. They find a book entitled "Universe of the Four Gods" The book tells of it's own mystical powers, and if you read the book, you get the power of the heroine, and all your wishes will come true. Miaka and Yui start to read it and get transported into another world. |
| Yui and Miaka get into trouble with two slave traders who want to sell them into slavery. A young boy who bears a demon mark on his forehead saves the two from near doom. Soon after, Maika and Yui are transported into their own world and go on with their normal life. After Miaka runs away from home because of a fight with her mom, she goes back to the library and reads the book. She is transported into the other world and is stuck there. The Emperor, Hotohori, tells her she is the Preistess of Suzaku. a story with many twists and turns, romance, devastation,, and some crossdressing--lol--I give it an 7 out of 10 its a bit cliche |
