Chapter 2: Syia
Alexis raised her hands over her blonde head to reach the curling iron.
She groaned as she reached. The only reason she had placed it so high was so that her obnoxious brothers wouldn't get burnt and she gets blamed. She was starting at her new school today and wanted to make a good impression. She curled her hair, put it up, and then went to her closet.
She tilted her head for help in thought. "What to wear?" she asked herself. She took out blue kapris and a sweater that was purple. She then chose a purple shirt to put underneath.
"Oh honey, you're school starts at eigth thirty. And you're going to be walking." Mrs. Cosia called. "What?!" Alexis cried. "It's only two blocks away. It's good excerise. Really!" Alexis groaned and then picked a baby blue tang top with black dickies and black Nike shoes. She hurriedly grabbed her backpack and made her way out the door. "See ya, mom!" she shouted.

A girl, around the age of 17 to 21 or so, began walking. She was dressed in a black trenchcoat but clearly had short brown hair. She made her coffee cup come up to her mouth and she took a drink. She took the cup down, then smirked. "Soon, MaireKori, soon"

"Class, this is Alexis Cosia, from New York." Ms. Sadii said. The class looked at her boredly. A few prepp girls, popular, Alexis figured, were sitting in the back. "Well, why did you move to Exided Alexis?" Ms. Saddi asked. "Because of my father's job. In two years, I think, we're moving to Japan." Alexis said. "Interesting. Anyone have any questions for Alexis?" Ms. Saddi asked the class.
A preppy girl reaised her hand. "Like, do you like cheerleading? I'm captain of our team, and you look like you'relimber and sophisticated enough to join." Alexis looked a bit shocked, and she knew it too. Her first day and already she was going to be popular. "Sure. I'd love to. When do I try out?" "Tomarow after school." The girl said. "By the way, my name is Tonya."
"Thankyou Tonya. Anyone else have any questions?" A girl in the back with a boy styled hair rasied her hand. "Are you any good at calculus?" she asked. Alexis looked at her. The girl then looked at Tonya and stuck out her tongue and Tonya gave her a dirty look. Alexis figured that the "geeks" and the "prepps" were fighting over her.
"Sorry, but I'm not very good at math." Alexis smiled nervously. Tonya smirked at the girl. The girl turned away and sank into her desk. Alexis felt bad for her. .
"Well, I'm Ms. Saddi, your Lanague Arts teacher." Ms. Sadii said. "You may take a seat in that row, next toSeth." She said. As soon as Alexis sat down, the teacher began her lesson. "Now, since all of you have read the CyberNation book, we may begin" Alexis tuned her out and sat back in her seat. 'This is going to be a long day' she thought.
At lunch, Alexis went over and sat down by a tree. She took out the soda she had packed. She then heard a noise behind her. "What?" she asked herself. She leaned around and saw another girl, with long black hair. It looked like the girl had been crying. "Excuse me." Alexis said. "Are you alright?" "Not really. My father walked out on us." She said.
"All right, Father. I'll see you later." said Tonicia, watching her father as he headed towards the Meeting Hall. She quickly opened the envelope, and read:
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he comes back." Alexis said. 'Great thinking Alexis. Could you be anymore stupid? Why the hell did you say that, 'cause it'll probably do something and make her cry again.' "Yeah." The girl turned at Alexis. Her eyes were a beautiful purple. "Thanks for cheering me upI think. My name is Nikki Reantio."
"Mines Alexis Cosia." Alexis said. Nikki smiled. "Hey! Want to come to my house after school?" "Sure!" Alexis said happily.
So, after school, Alexis and Nikki went to Nikki's house. "You live in a mansion?!" Alexis exclaimed. "Well, it's not the largest one, unfortunately. Pity, really." Nikki sighed. "Wait-a-minute!" Alexis said. She ran to the side of the house and jumped up. "My house is directly in back of yours!" "Wow!" Nikki said. "That's cool. So know we can see each other everyday."
"MOM?!" Alexis asked. "Oh, so have you us met?" Mrs. Cosia asked Alexis and Nikki. "I don't know. Is it that obvious?" Alexis asked plainly. "Alexis." Mrs. Cosia warned. "Let's go up to my room!" Nikki whispered before she got into trouble.
They made their way up the stairs and Alexis was amazed at what was on the walls or was amazed from the furniture. They talked for several hours about boys and clothes and about there past. That is, of course, until Alexis had to leave.
"Nikki is so cool. She knows how I feel about leaving my friends behind and about boys and everything!" Alexis said happily. She continued to take the long way to her house because the fresh air and cool wind felt good. But then she stopped.
"I could have sworn I heard a voice calling my name." Alexis said. "Ah, so your is Alexis. I've been looking for you. You know how hard it is to find someone? With your physical appearance anyways. It's rather difficult." The voice said again. Suddenly a husky came walking over to her. "You're a cutey!" she said. "But who was talking to me?"
"I was." The husky said.
"Wah?!?!!?!" Alexis must have jumped back a mile because the husky had to run over to her again. "Impossible!" Alexis screamed. "Calm down princess. Sheesh. Anyways, my name is Syia, your guardian." "Right." Alexis said.
She got up and began walking again. "I suppose, whatever. I guess I take you home then?" "Thankyou princess. Another thing, no one but you knows that I talk, got it?" he eyed her. "Whatever." Alexis said. She began walking home again. 'Am I crazy, or did I just accept?' ***********************************************
