| Priestess Kikyo is a young woman, who had the power to purify the Shikon Jewel. She was the guardian of this sacred jewel, which would be constantly hunted down by evil demons. Thus, showing how InuYasha and this beautiful maiden met. InuYasha would always try to steal the Shikon Jewel from her, but she would aways stop him. Over time, InuYasha and Kikyo fell in love. Kikyo offered InuYasha the sacred jewel, so he could turn human and live with her, and also, she would become a normal woman, not having to protect the jewel form evil anymore. InuYasha accepted, but the day he was to become human, the evil villian, Naraku, decieved both InuYasha and Kikyo into hating eachother. 50 years later and after InuYasha was rewakened, Kikyo's arrow, which bound him to a tree. Kikyo, was revived back to life, from an old witch. Kikyo stole Kagome's souls, making Kikyo fully "alive". Kikyo was alive from all the regret and hatred she had for InuYasha. She attempted to kill InuYasha, again, but before she could, InuYasha tried to explain. He didn't betray her. InuYasha thought she betrayed him. Confusion arose, but before Kikyo could find the truth, Kagome, Kikyo's reincarnation, called back for her souls, which were keeping Kikyo alive. Kikyo excaped and made off with a bit to keep her going. InuYasha went after her, but Kikyo had fallen down a cliff, which was to have surely killed her. Kikyo, wasn't killed that easily. She had stayed in a quiet village. To keep herself alive, she fed off of young girls' dead souls. InuYasha, and his party, soon came across this place. It was soon later, that InuYasha told Kikyo about Naraku and how he tricked both of them into hating eachother, by disguising himself as one another. InuYasha told Kikyo he loved her, and he never stopped thinking about her. Kikyo felt her regret. She loved him too. She wanted to be with him, but sadly, she's not really alive. Now all she is, is a wandering soul. Lost in the world of mortal. Her anger and hate still fuels her to be alive. Looking for something, but all she will find is sadness. |
