| and it wasn't just a once-off. i rode first luke, and then mickey, this afternoon. even though luke is a competely different ride to mickey, my sensations on them were the same. luke is somewhat more blase, not quite as sensitive to weight changes and position as mickey is - that sounds quite unfair to him. he is sensitive, but because mickey is more fidgety, he makes me more aware of my position, and forces me to be very consistent and not move around much. but when i rode him, carol was riding sledge at the same time, and she was surprised and amazed to see how well he went - onehanded, light in the mouth, easy canter circles without rushing. beautiful. |
