2001

This has been, with little doubt, the most eventful and *interesting* (in more ways than one) years of my life. So much has taken place, both simply inside me, and in interaction with other people and things, and I have changed a great deal in this year. I also feel I have aged a lot... when I consider that I am actually only 18 years old, 19 next april - it doesn't seem like it. It seems like it should be a lot more. And at times, that is as very horrible feeling. At other times, I feel like I know myself very well, and have achieved a lot during this year. But then again, I wonder if all the pain and the hurt - to myself and to others - was worth it. I hope so. But I want to look back on all the good things now - all the things which made this year worth it. So this is just a random collection of things which I see in a positive light. Good Things.

-getting married.
-coming out
-the summer shakespeare
-sex with a woman for the first time
-sex with Miriam for the first time
-becoming best friends with Lex
-working in the Medieval Shop
-Brendan and Graham's gay xmas bbq.
-becoming friends with Nich.
-doing the Sexual History paper
-putting that sticker on my bag (the one that says "Nobody knows i'm a lesbian")
-the Rainbow Youth concert
-Lex and Cushla's wedding, and going out afterwards..
-feeling that I have a large extended gay family
-the purple hair episode!
-realising what a good idea doing an Arts degree was.. all those hot chicks!
-the Lord of the Rings movie!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Tomb Raider
-Original Sin
-Angelina Jolie just on general principles.
-my wall of porn... several months worth of Ralph and FHM magazines blu-tacked to the 10-ft high walls in our lounge
-making out with Robbie after the summer shakespeare, and the photo's to prove it...
-reading www.planetout.com, www.gaynz.com, and other gay websited, and starting to think from a 'gay' p.o.v.
-the joy of porn. and porn stories. and wanking...
-living in a flat with an oven... baking fresh bread - with yeast. Real bread.
-In Nomine. Denariel. and the crowd that came with it...
-Alex!!!
-and Dan, and Chris, and Kate, and James
-learning to use buses
-becoming a lot closer to Benjamin, talking to him for ages, and him being there for me and comforting me when i needed it...

-meeting Melda
-building up my porn collection
-passing all my papers at uni
-meeting Nancy (that's kindof bittersweet...)

-the Harry Potter movie
-meeting Niko and becoming friends with him
-keeping in touch with Frank
-the Antipasto theatre week
-meeing Jo in Antipasto
-being outed to Mom and Dad - in hindsight, more good than bad.
-Dad taking it so well, and actively trying to accept it and deal with it.
-just Dad, because he's great
-the express horoscopes.. classic!
-meeting and getting to know Raven - and looking forward to meeting her...
-getting a cellphone!
-all the nice new clothes I bought.. ah.. the joy of clothes shopping...
-also the joy of second-hand clothes shops where you can find wonderfully original and sexy dresses really cheap...
