Suggestions for Various Tavern Chores

Fire pits can be cleaned of ashes and the fire rebuilt

All furs can be taken outside beat or shook clean, aired and brought back in

Stone floors swept and scrubbed

Bring in wood to fill the wood box by the main and servery fire

Rake any trash from the sand pit (dancing area)

Check the botas empty ones can be oiled on the outside and refilled

Bring in fresh bottles for the cooler or the warming racks, stored in the backroom

Dirty silks can be washed and hung out dry

Candles can be checked and oil lamps can be filled, sconces lit at nights

Wash dirty dishes in servery, and dry them and put away. Look for chips, cracks, or scratches while doing this.

Wash cooking pots and trays. Can also polish the trays.

Wipe off all tables and chairs and polish with oil, if you like

Wash the windows

Dust (perhaps the sconce holders and the target board or shelves)

Cook fresh meats, and slice fresh fruit, check all breads and cheese for mold and remove if you find any.

Make a fresh pot of blackwine to keep in the kettle by the servery fire (water and beans)

Bake bread, make soup, or whatever

Gather fresh eggs, fruit from the orchards if that tavern has one, fresh flowers, herbs or anything that can be used in the tavern plant flowers, vegetables, etc.

There is many things a girl can do when along in a
tavern or room to busy herself........ and keep busy, be creative,
dance with the broom while you sweep the sandpit,
hum or sing as you bake..... use your imagination, make
the room or tavern a happy joyous place to be in and
