ESTATE OF SHEROD ROLAND DECEASED
TUESDAY, MAY 19TH 1885


          Now on this day, cause all to be heard the application of Mrs. Susan Roland for probate of the last Will and Testement of S. Roland deceased. And said applications being heard and fully required by law of the filing of said application has been given cause that said application has been made according to law and the testimony of M.R. Fogg and of the subscribing witnesses to said being heard in submitted to probate.  It is ordered adjudged and decreed by the court that said application be granted and established and confirmed as the last Will and Testiment of the said S. Roland deceased and that the terms and stipulations Here by expressed be audited and herby confirm except as the appointment of the executor.
          It is further ordained that ____ and ___ and ___ be and they are hereby appointed appraisers to value, makeout and return to this court an inventoryand of the property belonging to the estate of S. Roland deceased.

APPLICATION FOR PROBATE

State of Texas
Collin County                    In County Court May ___ 1885


          To the Honorable J.A. Wolfe County Judge of Collin County your petitioner Susan Roland resident citizen of Collin County in the State of Texas, would respectfully represent that Sherod Roland late of said county, departed this life in said county on or about the 2nd day of March 1885, leaving a last Will and Testament executed in due favor of the law and appointed one A.J. Jarney of Grayson County as his executor. That said executor has refused to act in that capacity and petitioner is the surviving wife of testator and principal legatee under said will.  ___ will is hereby attached marked exibit A and prayed to be made a part here of. That the estate of said testator consisted of 300 acres of land in said county of the value of $2100.00 and personal property consisting of clock, cattle, household furniture and farming implements of the value of $1680.00. The ___ concider and petitioner prays that said Will be permitted to probate and established as the last Will and Testament of the said Sherod Roland deceased

          You are hereby commanded to cause to be posted ___ of the most public places in your county and of which shall be at the court house door, copies of the following notices:

The State of Texas
          To all persons interested in the ___ ___ of the esteate of S. Roland deceased, Mrs Susan Roland has filed in Collin County an application for probate of the last Will and Testament of said S. Roland deceased, which will be heard at the next tenure of said court, commencing on the 3rd Monday in May 1885 at the court house of and in this city of McKinney at which time persons interested in said estate may appear and contest said application of they see proper.
          Hereby fail not under penalty of law and of this writ make due return.
