UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER |

|
Alpha Chapter began at the U of R back in the fall of 1999, when Andy and Matt, the co-founders, got the bright idea to start a new "fraternity" for people with interests in the natural sciences. Noting a lack of that type of organization on our campus, it seemed as though Chi Square would fill that void nicely. Correspondingly, we have found a quick and energetic response to our efforts. We can now boast a membership of approximately 20 students from 6 different universities nationwide. |

MSU, or more specifically, the Lyman Briggs School of the Natural Sciences, is home to the Beta Chapter of Chi Square. For this we owe our thanks to Doug; from his indefatigable efforts we are sure that membership there will flourish much as it has here in Rochester. |

Gamma Chapter is located in Potsdam New York, founded by Matt, Matt-Matt that is. (Very confusing-the number of Matts we have...) Upon hearing of Chi Square, Matt-Matt was immediately interested, as many people seem to be. At any rate, Matt went ahead and started up a chapter there with the very same spirit of the best UR member. |
