| I utilize the flop shot quite often and I have found that when you hit the "Flop Shot" without moving the "slider" it goes 47-50 yds in calm, level conditions. Obviously if the hole is below and downwind it will change the distance somewhat. Hitting uphill changes the distance some also. Strong downwind conditions on dry greens will cause the ball to "release" more and run a bit farther once it hits the green. If you slide the slider fwd it reduces the distance the ball will travel, but be careful as it also adds backspin. The Flop is designed to stop quickly and is great for a sloping fast green. If I slide it fwd about 25% the ball will go about 35 yds. It's best to practice this shot then add it to your gameplay strategy. It will save you strokes on the golf course. Be sure to hit shots from the lite rough, medium and heavy rough as that also affects the ball travel. --RD Tip: Full LW, 1/2 FWD on the slider will travel 60 yds and I use this a lot! |
