Lord of the Flies Projects

Project One: Photographing, Painting, or Illustrating

Instructions

  • Come up with a working definition of inhumanity. Write it down. You may consult your Lord of the Flies text, a dictionary, friends, relatives, etc., but, ultimately, you must come up with a definition that is unique to you.
  • Think of local, national, and/or international examples of inhumanity. Decide which one(s) that you would like to portray through photographing, painting, or illustrating (these must be ones that you make).
  • Take photographs, begin paintings, or start illustrations (must be in color) of inhumanity. You must have at least three different pieces with an explanation below or accompanying the piece. These pieces must be neat and well-organized.
  • Write a one-page synopsis of what is being done/what has been done to address the inhumanity shown through your photographs, paintings, or illustrations. Ultimately, you should conclude with whether or not you agree with Golding's dark message in Lord of the Flies.
  • Be prepared to present. Click on rubric to make sure you have met all of the requirements.
  • Submit to iNote
