July 4th 2002 marked the first time this event was held.  A group of over 60 people attended a catered dinner at the Hollywood @ Galveston Hotel on the Seawall.   Later they were entertained by a spectacular fireworks display courtesy of Galveston City.

There was so much enthusiasm from the success and enjoyment of the event, many people were asking to be put on the mailing list for next years Freedom Party.

The location for the 2003 event has not yet been determined, but it is clear that the planning committee wants to make this event 10 times better then 2002.  To make that happen, they will need a variety of sponsors to handle the logistics, food and overall party arrangements.
