| Interview with Seki Toshihiko ( Duo's Seiyuu!!!) Don't ask who or where I got this. I'm not telling!!! (or I can't remember?!?) This is Toshihiko's outlook on Duo (roughly translated). |
| "This boy Duo is a 'not bad' fellow, especially in my opinion an anoyingly good guy! He's intripid and gentle, reliable in his business and cheerful; if there was such a person in reality, I would go and ask to be sworn brothers with him! The most memorable scenes for me must be Episode 32 when he fought with Hilde; and also a few more scenes, all these made me ponder on 'what is peace...' The first thing that this show made me think was why we humans have to fight among ourselves. To find peace, different people choose different directions and actions; the characters that appear on the show are a mirror to this world. What initially was an anime about "War" has now surpassed this theme, inviting people to muse over choices and the hope of the future. This is indeed a work with depth. Some things can only be revealed after completion, that is the light we discovered during work; during recording, many of the scenes were yet to be coloured!...Honestly, seeing the black and white scenes, trying to differentiate Duo and Quatre was quite an effort! (LAUGHS) I wonder whether during the planning they had thought of giving the two of them the same hair colour and hairstyle, and let them be twins instead...(LAUGHS). Actually, Duo's inner world is painful and lonesome, but he always greets with a smiling face. Duo's attraction in his adour for humans. |
