Fisticuffs lasted for about six months. The band stopped because our guitarist moved to B.C. We had plans of keeping the band going, but those plans never came through. We were going to find a new guitarist and we even had a few lined up, but nobody came through and eventually through not practising it fell apart.
Fisticuffs consisted of Brad on vox, Darryl also on vox, Alex on guitar, myself on the bass and Chad on drums.
Our style was a streetpunk/oi/punk sound. We played a few shows and with such bands as: Marilyn's Vitamins, The Rotten, U.Y.C. (then known as Manumission) and 5th District. Most of our shows were local exceot for one that we played in Owen Sound (thanks Sarah & Aidan)
There were a lot of fun times with this band, these guys are great. I really hope that someday we can get our stuff together and start practising again.
The members of the band (except Al) still hang out and drink regularly and there has been talk of starting over again, but I don't think it will ever actually happen.
