Chapter 31

Brooke snuggled deeper in the secure arms of Ian. They lounged together in the aftermath of their glorious lovemaking.  He tilted her head up, cupped her face and took her lips in a long languid kiss. The kiss however wasn’t enough. He wanted more. Much more. Trailing the arch of her neck with his tongue, he licked the salty essence of the perspiration they created together from their lovemaking. Feeling his knee nudge against her thighs, she opened them pulling him overtop of her. Stroking her tongue against his her filled his hands with her breast. Her body was ripe, toned and all his for the taking. God, how she intoxicated him. She was like a drug to his system. Brooke arched her body against him loving the feel of his chest rubbing against her, his body weight and his hard pen*s against her wet opening.  Trailing her own hands down his back to his naked buttocks, she pulled him inside of her. Groaning at the clinching of her hot entrance, Ian pushed his way inside of her. Burying his face in her hair, he inhaled the scent of his shampoo that she had used earlier that morning. “ You feel so good. So tight.” He moved inside of her slowly. He wanted to take his time. He wanted to taste her.  He wanted to feel her body inside of his arms. See the lights glowing in her eyes. She was everything. Brooke arched her body to accommodate his hard member; opening her legs and encircling his waist she anchored him to her. At the same time, Ian clasped his hand within hers. Moving in and outside of her body he took his time with her. Savoring every kiss of her lips, every caress of her hands on his back, his buttocks, and her nails biting into his flesh. Wrapping her long luscious hair around his himself, he lost himself in her. Together they lost themselves in each other.

Bridget was in deep thought as she rode in the car with the Richard. The stranger who has picked her up on the side of the rode turned out to be a nice man who lived on a place not to far from Capper town. She had told Richard that she was from L.A but looking for her mother. She had also expressed her worry of Deacon who was currently walking in this storm. Richard studied his companion as the heavy flakes of snow hit the windshield. The little lady was scared for her husband and he didn’t blame her. Dressed as she was, she wasn’t accomplished to the winter weather that they dealt with. “ Don’t worry. I’m sure that we are going to find your husband.

Peering out into the falling snow, she wondered how Deacon faired in the cold blister of the weather. “ It’s just that Deacon isn’t used to weather.”

“ And you are?” He nodded toward her cute burgundy leather jacket that covered her.

“ Well, kinda.” She grinned. “ In L.A, we are pretty much interested in fashion. But my family owns a cabin in Big Bear and we are used to the snow at time but Deacon was born and bread in Las Vegas.”

“ Vegas?”

“ Yes”

“ You know, I’ve always wanted to go to the place. Get a chance to see what the hubbub is all about. Tell me, do those ladies really run around in their underwear and whatnot.”

“ Yeah. They do.”

“ We don’t see that much about here.”

“ I bet not. You’d have to be crazy to do that out there.”

“ You know, we can’t stay like this forever.” Ian kissed the top of Brooke’s head as she lay over top of him, her head resting against his chest.

“Why not?” She trailed her fingers across his chest in playful pattern.

“ Because we have dinner planned.”

Sitting up, she smiled at him. “ We do?”

Pulling her head down for a long languid kiss, he fitted her body over him. “ Yes we do. However if you keep this up, we won’t even get a chance to make it to dinner.” He murmured against her lips.

“ Me? It has noting to do with me at all. You are the one who started this.”

“ Really?”

“ Yes, really. I was only…”

“ Only what?”

Settling herself in his arms, she giggled. “ Enjoying your hospitality.”

God, she was so beautiful, he thought. He really didn’t want to leave their bed at the moment, however he had made dinner arrangements and he didn’t want to cancel them. Rolling over on top of her carefully, he studied her golden eyes when their was a knock at their door.

Brooke wrapped her leg around his waist. “ Don’t get it.”

“You really don’t play fair do you?”

“Nope.”

Groaning with regret, he pulled out of Brooke’s arms and headed to the door.

“ Ian.”

“ What?”

“ You are naked.” She reminded him. She pointed to the pile of clothes on the floor. You might frighten someone with…” Smiling she looked at his hard pen*s. “ With that…it could be dangerous.” He crossed the room, pulled on his jeans and then headed to the other room to answer the door. Brooke dissolved into a mass of giggles. She couldn’t remember when she had last been this happy.

Taylor fingered the receipt for the ring that Ridge hadn’t given her. He had bought it months ago yet he hadn’t given it to her. Why? It not only sounded beautiful but expensive but didn’t make much sense because it didn’t go with anything already owned. Why would Ridge buy that ring when she hadn’t been around. Ridge had been in Paris when he bought it. The only person who had been with him had been Brooke. Brooke whom Ridge was furious with. Brooke, who hadn’t come back from Paris. Why the hell not? She wanted answers and was determined to get them. Taylor called out to Katherine to let her know that she was leaving. She had get answers from the source, she was going to confront her husband.

Ridge finished off the design that he had been working on when his office door opened. Frowning, he looked up to find his mother in his office standing in the doorway. Wheeling himself from his desk. “What do you want?”

“ Is that any way to speak to your mother?”

“ Listen, I’m sorry. I’ve got a lot of work to get done.”

“ How much of this is Brooke’s work?”

“ A lot of it. I still can’t believe that she’d just leave us in a lurch like this.”

“ Nothing that woman surprises me. This company has never been a priory for her. Nothing is, not even her own children. My god, Bridget is still married to that horrible man yet that means nothing to Brooke. If only we could find a way to get her out of the company”

Ridge sighed. “Mother, that isn’t going to happen. Although I have to agree that she isn’t doing her job as CEO lately we can’t do a thing about it. Brooke owns 51% of this company. Nothing can change that.”

Stephanie hated that Brooke stole those shares from her family. If only she could find a way to get those shares back but alas, she’d never been able to find a loop hole in the agreement. “ Well something has to be done. She’s ruining our image of Forrester. The class and standards that your father and I started has been ruined by that whore! First with that Brooke’s Bedroom Line and then with those horrible Scandalous Ads.”

“ Mother I don’t want to talk about those ads.”

“ I can’t believe that you were stupid enough to participate in those disgusting ads.”

“ I told you that I don’t want to talk about those ads.”

Stephanie ignored her son and continued. “ Those ads could have ruined your marriage.” She pointed at him. “Thank god Taylor didn’t leave you when she saw those ads. Your wife is a very forgiving wonderful woman.”

“ I know that.”

“She’s nothing like that whore Brooke. But I guess that you finally figured that out. After years of defending that BITCH you finally figured out that Brooke only cares about one thing. Herself. To think that whore would actually believe that you’d leave a wonderful wife and mother like Taylor for her.”

Ridge’s eyes darkened as he knocked over his cup holding his colored pencils. “ I would have been a fool to do something like that.”

“Then you had better start acting like it. Like you appreciate your wife.”

“What are you talking about I appreciate Taylor.”

“Really, because I can’t remember the last time that I heard you planning something romantic for you too to do together. I’d love to watch the kids if you wanted to do something with Taylor.”

“ I appreciate but right now I’ve got a lot of work that needs to be done. This company doesn’t run itself.”

“Of  course it doesn’t but that doesn’t mean that you should ignore your wife.”

“ Has Taylor complained to you?”

“ Of course not. She wouldn’t do that. She loves you but I’ve noticed that it seems that you don’t spend as much time with her like you used to.” Stephanie touched her son on the side of his face. “ Is there something wrong?”

Was there something wrong? Hell yes, there was something wrong. He loved Taylor. God knew that he did. But every since he had come back from Paris, it hadn’t been the same. He knew that he wasn’t the same. It was like a part of him had died in Paris with Brooke. The part of him that he hadn’t know was alive until his unforgettable affair. Brooke brought out so many different emotions inside of him. Love, passion, fire. When he was with her, he felt more alive and more scared than ever. But now he was back in his world but a loving, kind and generous wife but life had become bland with very little color. God, how he needed color and spice in his life. Lately, he had been working as an escape because deep down he was afaraid that sooner of later that Taylor would pick up on the fact that something was very much wrong.  Turning toward his mother, he knew the lie that he’d tell. “ No, there is nothing wrong. Just too much work but you are right. I need to do something special for my wife.”

Smiling vividly, Stephanie was happy. Her son was going to focus on romancing his wife. “Good, and I have the perfect thing in mind.”

Brooke was curled up in a terry cloth robe when Ian approached her with a garmet bag. “What’s this.” Shrugging, he handed her the bag along with boxes.

“ It was delivered to this room for you.”

Brooke gave him a questioning look before she unzipped the bag. Inside was the dress that she had been wanting to buy in the boutique. “What the…” Then she opened the boxes finding all of the accessories and underclothes that she had admired. “ How…” She glanced up at Ian to see him studying. “ You. You did this but how?”

“ SEALs are trained for observation. I knew that you wanted to look special tonight. In fact you aren’t the only one who got something new.”

‘ Yes but…” She slid off the bed. ‘ Honey that dress was expensive and…”

He clasped her lightly around her shoulders. “Brooke. I can afford that dress believe me. Besides. I don’t get to go out that often.”

“ Let me pay your back.”

He frowned. “ No way. There is no way that I’m going to let you pay for that dress. I am a man Brooke.”

‘ What does that have to do with anything. I’m a woman.”

“ Yes, but I don’t know what those so called men do in L.A but where I’m from the woman most certainly doesn’t pay the bill.”

Brooke’s mouth fell open. “ You are a chauvinist.”

“ Call it what you like, it doesn’t matter. I am an honorable man Brooke, I wouldn’t feel right about  you paying for your dress.” He noticed the squint in her eyes. “ Please. I’d love to see you in it. It is a beautiful dress.”

She picked up the bag. “ I should take this back.”

“ You will do no such thing. You wanted this dress and I want to see you wearing it. I want you to wear the dress. You’ll look beautiful in it. So, get a move on.”

“ Alright. You win. I’ll wear the dress. And I’ll look spectacular in it. ” Brooke picked up the dress and headed to the bathroom while Ian watched her with amusement in his eyes.

Bridget shivered in the cold weather. At this moment, Frank and his friends Carl were going to help her look for her husband. It was so cold and she wondered how Deacon was fairing in this horrible weather. She shouldn’t have let him leave. They should have stayed together. The front door opened and Frank sat in the driver’s seat. ‘Carl and Sam, his son, is going to look for husband.”

“ Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.”

“ It’s cold out here and dangerous for anybody not prepared for this kind of weather. We need to find your husband. But first, I’m going to take you to a friend of mine house so you’ll be warm.”

“ No. I want to go with you.”

“ Listen little lady. I can understand you worrying about your husband but you aren’t dressed for this kind of weather. It’s snowing pretty hard out there. Don’t worry we will find your husband. He couldn’t have gone too far out there.”

“ But…”

“ No more buts. I’m looking out for you. The last thing that we need to do is to look for you.”

Deacon trudged through the snow hugging his jacket closer to his body. His feet had long ago stopped having feeling. He had walked for miles and miles and gotten nowhere. He needed to get back to his car and to his wife. He had been stupid to leave her in that car but he had known that the conditions were too strong for her. Still, he should have stayed with Bridget.

Brooke slipped the cashmere dress on. It fit her like a glove. The soft material was made of such a fine material that it didn’t scratch her skin. Under her dress she wore the soft silky material of her bra, panties, garters and stockings. Taking the boots out of the box, she skipped them on. Finally, she sat down at the vanity to brush her long hair and touched a dab of makeup on her face.

Ian straightened his tie and checked his appearance in the mirror. Clean shaven. Fresh hair cut and new suit, he looked so different that he almost didn’t recognize himself. If he SEAL mates had seem him, they would have laughed their assess off. What in the world was his thinking? Why in the world was he doing this? This was certainly not him. Opening the door he was going to call the night off as she stormed in the living room of his hotel room when he caught a glimpse of Brooke. He stopped in his tracks. She was amazingly beautiful. The dark black cashmere dress, clung to her body showing off her magnificent curves. She looked naturally beautiful, her long golden hair gleaming well past her shoulders. The makeup she wore was light, her luscious lips had a touch of pink, giving her a glowing look. Her eyes sparkled with glee and he knew that he’d wear over one hundred constricting ties if it meant that she was on his arms.

Brooke looked up and was amazed by the transformation of Ian. Ian wasn’t just ruggedly handsome in his suit he was drop dead gorgeous. The man standing in front of her, looked like he belonged in some office running a multi-million dollar company. He was 100% male, who looked like a million bucks. “ Wow.”

“ What?” he answered.

“ You look amazing.” Ian shrugged as if her words had no effect. Shaking his head.

“ You are the one who looks beautiful.”

Brooke twirled and he loved how the black boots she wore encased her legs. “ Well, I’m ready for the cold weather outside. I also can’t wait to be on the arm of the most handsome man in Cappersville.” She held out her arms to him. He walked over to her and took her arm.

“ I’d be very honored to hold your hand and escort you to dinner.” He picked up her shawl and wrapped it around her. Then he put on her hat, making sure that it slanted slightly to the side. Then, to her amazement, he took her to the closet and took out a long back wool coat.

“ Where did this come from?”

“ You needed something to keep you warm. Besides, the woman in the store said that a woman should have all the right accessories with their outfits.”

Turning to he she shook her head. “ Ian this is too much.”

“ Shh.’ He touched her lips. “ It isn’t. I’m not totally broke. I want to do this for you and for me.”

There was something about this request. She didn’t want him to spend this kind of money on her but it meant something to give her those things. The dress she could buy over one hundred thousands of times but to know that he’d taken the time to find what she liked. To give her the dress. To give her a coat. It mean more to her than all the diamonds that she had received as gifts over the years. “ Thank you.” Brooke leaned on her toes and kissed Ian.

Taylor hesitated for a moment outside of Ridge’s office, the door was slightly ajar and she couldn’t help to stop and listen to her husband as he talked on the phone.

“ That’s right Calvin. I want only the best for my lovely wife. Dinner is to be served on the private terries at eight sharp. I’d like for our entries to be served with perfection. I want to try something a little different tonight. So I’m going to go with the shark in a cream wine sauce with sea scallops.” Ridge paused for a moment before he laughed. “ Yes, I’d like our dinner to be served in our private bedroom. “ Baked Alaska for me and something sinfully chocolate for…” Ridge’s mind blanked. How could he be so stupid, Taylor liked chocolate from time to time but not like Brooke. He wanted nothing tonight to remind him of Brooke. “ I want to change that order. For dessert for my wife, I’d like for her to have Baked Alaska as well.” Picking up the cream colored silk dress that was adorned with a jeweled bodice that he had picked up for his wife, he laughed. “ Well, tonight it a night of surprises for my wife. Dinner, a new dress and a new piece of jewelry.”

Taylor stood outside of the office listening to her husband’s plans for them. She couldn’t believe that she had almost ruined her surprise. Ridge had not only planned a special evening for the both of them but he was going to give her the diamond ring that he had brought. She had been worried about nothing. Nothing at all.

Snow whirled around Deacon. It was getting colder and colder but he had finally found his SUV.

“ Bridget”, he cried out. Yet he saw nothing. “Bridget!” He wrenched the car door open but found it cold and empty. Alarm shot through him. Where in the hell was his wife. It was snowing extremely hard. It was bitter cold. She had disappeared and anything could have happened. “Bridget! Bridget!” Panic filled him. Something dreadful must have happened she wouldn’t have left the SUV without a good reason.

Ian opened the door the restaurant while Brooke stepped in from the blistering cold. He quickly brushed the snow off of Brooke’s hat covered head and her shoulders. Grinning he snatched her hat off as a long luscious hair fell down. “There, that should help you to stay warm.”

Wrapping her arms around him, she brought his head down for a long kiss. Once the kiss ended, she used her finger to trace his lips. “Now, I’m really warmed up.” Slipping off her coat she handed it to an attendant before she had a chance to take in the ambiance of tiny restaurant. It was stepping into a tiny new world of Northern Italy. The dark restaurant was filled with authentic pictures of Italy while the walls were covered with hand painted pictures of Venice and Portofino.

Touching the wall, Brooke turned to Ian. “ This is exquisite. It’s like a little taste of Italy.”

“ I know. It does look realistic. I remember thinking that the first time that I can here.”

“ The paintings are beautiful. The artist must have been there.”

Ian shrugged. “Maybe.” Taking Brooke’s hand, he lead her to a smiling older gentlemen.

“ Brooke this is Eduardo.”

“ Eduardo. This is Brooke.

Eduardo, who was a short balding man with a cheery smile took Brooke’s hand. “You are a most beautiful woman. I can see why after all of these years, Ian has brought a woman here.” Turning toward Ian, he nodded with approval. “Yes, it’s about time.”

“ Alright, Eduardo. Just take up to our table.” He mumbled.

“ Ian. Don’t be rude.”

Waving his hands, Eduardo warded off Ian’s comments. “ Pay him no attention Miss Brooke, he is like the prickly cactus. Prickly outside, yet the fruit underneath is soft and sweet. This, I know.”

Brooke looked at Ian. “ I think that Eduardo knows you very well.”

Ian ignored the both of them. “ Just show us our table.” He stated but inside he was smiling.
