Chapter 11

Brooke watched the snow falling through the bay windows in Ian’s bedroom. She had been lying in bed for the last hour but she couldn’t seem to fall asleep. Brooke had taken to sleeping in his bed since he was gone. Maybe it was the warmth of his bed or maybe it was the scent of his smell, a mixture of pine, coffee and mint that still lingered in his sheets. She figured that he would have come back before now but he hadn’t. He had just left that note and hadn’t contacted her; he had simply just left her. She didn’t really understand why it bothered her since she had come here to spend time alone and to think. He had given her just that, time alone yet here she was and instead of figuring out how she was going to deal with everything back in L.A, she was thinking about Ian. L.A seemed so far away and her relationship with Ridge had hardly reached her mind. Her thoughts kept coming back to Ian. She had studied his pictures and wondered what had turned to what had looked like a carefree man into the brooding hermit that she had met. Still, there was something there in his eyes that called to her. Loneliness, she understood it. Maybe it was because she too was alone. Yes, there were times that she was bombarded with people all around her but deep down inside she was alone. Ridge had been a part of her for such a long time and then after Ridge there had been Thorne. But now there was nobody, just her. Maybe Ian had been right, she hadn’t spent anything with herself to figure things out because she was afraid of what she’d fine. But that didn’t change the fact that she had missed him. It had been three lonely days alone in the cabin with no one to talk to or even argue with. She’d even take his brooding comments at this moment, just as long as it was something from him. Brooke heard some whining at the base of the bed. It was Sam. Brooke had never had a pet before, but she had noticed a drastic change in Sam, he’d sometimes lie by the door for hours and make this whining sound, he missed Ian just like she did. Brooke sat up and patted the bed. “ Come one Sam, you can sleep with me.” Sam must have understood what she had said because he jumped up in the bed next to her. Brooke petted him and lay her had against Sam. “ Its alright. I miss him too.”

Ian threw more snow into the small pan on top of the fire. He needed to bottle more water to drink. Ian had spent the last few days staying very active. He chopped wood and cleared out a clearing for the Jennings, he had done some fishing in the icy waters and had cleaned out the old bunker that he had prepared for emergencies. Maybe it was the SEAL in him, but he had an old bunker that housed weapons, maps, along with some military notes for past missions. He cleaned his guns, sharpened his knives, he finished working on some old diagnostic maps to help his friend SEAL friends. He could have easily stayed in the hidden bunker, but he preferred sleeping in the outdoors. The only thing that kept him inside of the cave was the fact that the snow was still falling heavily outside. Brooke was all right. He had gone past the cabin and checked on things from a distance. He had restocked the firewood and had watched her silently as she had taken Sam out last night to relieve himself. She was more than kind to his dog. Most people would just simply “walk” Sam in this type of weather and then run back into the cabin, but not Brooke. She had allowed Sam to run around and have even thrown his favorite ball at him. She amazed him. He had been in a business in which he had to “read” people, hell, he wrote about people, yet she had been so different than he had ever expected. When she had come barging into his life more than a week ago, all he had seen was the expensive dress, her soft hands and her looks. He had though Pampered Princess, but she wasn’t. She was smart, she could handle herself and she really cared about her kids. She didn’t turn her nose up at watching Sam take a shit and she knew how the cook. Brooke was definitely different than any other woman that he had encountered. Ian opened his sketchpad, there was a sketch that he had done of Brooke sleeping. If Ian closed his eyes, he could see her clearly in his mind. The way that she looked, her eyelashes brushing against her face, the way that she tucked her hands under her chin also the way that her hair feel across the pillow. She was becoming more and more unforgettable, that disturbed him.

Brooke lay asleep in Ian’s bed, the room was dark and only a shadow of gray filtered though the bay windows. Suddenly a hard hand clamped over her mouth and pulled her out of the bed. Brooke tried to scream but it was cut off him the hard hand. A hard body was behind her yet she knew based on the scent of the man that it wasn’t Ian. A mixture of surprise, fear and adrenaline filled her body. Brooke felt what seemed to be a large knife against the base of her throat. Fear totally filled her body. She was all-alone in this cabin in a secured section of the woods. She was alone with a man she didn’t know who had a knife biting against her throat. Tears filled Brooke’s eyes. God knew what he planned on doing to her. She knew that she wasn’t safe and if this man was too strong for her to overpower. He could do whatever he wanted to her. He could rape her, kill her or do worse, and no one would know. Her children really didn’t know where she was, nor did her parents. Nor did anyone at  Forrester. The only person was Megan and by the time that Megan would begin to worry, it would be too late. Brooke’s only help was Ian and she hadn’t seen him in days. She was all alone, isolated in the woods, completely vulnerable at the hands of this man. Never in Brooke’s life had she been so scared. Brooke closed her eyes against the nightmare and a single track of a tear feel across her cheek.

Ian trekked quietly toward his cabin. Although he had already been past tonight, something was nagging him to go and check on Brooke again. Ian had learned from his time with the Navy SEALS to never ignore a gut feeling.

Brooke stood in the dark room with a knife pressed up against her throat. Her body began to shake on its own accord. “ Who the hell are you?” A gruff voice asked her. Tears spilled down Brooke’s eyes. “ Answer me, who are you?”

“ I’m Brooke” Brooke answered shakily. She had to think of something. She had no idea what the man planned to do with her. “Listen, if you are here for valuables just get what you want quickly. My husband will be back soon.”

“ Husband?” The grip around Brooke’s throat tightened cutting her hair off.

“ That is where you made a big mistake.” The voice stated. “ I’m going to ask you one more time and I suggest that you tell me the truth. Who you really?”

Brooke tried not to swallow, afraid that the movement might cause the sharp blade to slice into the delicate skin of her neck. “ I told you. I’m Brooke.”

“ Where is  Mac?”

“Who? I don’t know who you are talking about.”

“ I knew that you were lying.” Suddenly Brooke and shoved hard face down on the bed. The flimsy white spaghetti strapped nightgown that she wore was little protection against the cold air billowing in the room. “ Now it is time to find out who you really are.” Brooke heard a tearing sound of the knife cutting through the silk of her nightgown. Her felt the cold air as it brushed up against her naked back and buttocks. Brooke felt hands pull the tattered nightgown off her body. The same hands moved up her back and back down. Suddenly before she could think about it, she was turned over onto her back. The light next to the bed was turned on and she found herself looking into the eyes of a fiercely sinister looking man. He extremely dangerous looking with his building muscles, dirty t-shirt and long blonde hair. He face was dangerously harsh and hard as granite. His eyes quickly devoured her full breast, flat stomach as well as her long limbs yet it was in a detached manner. He leaned forward, the knife glittering against the light next to the bed stand. “ You have exactly 20 seconds to tell me who the hell you really are.”

Ian studied the footprint in the snow. From the naked eye with the snow falling heavily, no one would have noticed but he did. Whoever made the track was good because all the rest of his tracks where completely covered. Whoever made the tracks knew how to hide them expertly. Based on the track that he found, they could only be heading toward one place. His.

“ I already told you who I am. I’m Brooke Logan.”

“ Just like you told me that you were married.” Brooke watched the dangerous gleam in the man’s eyes. “ We both know that you are lying about that.” The man caressed the side of Brooke’s cheek. “ Don’t make me hurt you. I don’t want to ruin that beautiful face of yours but I will, if I need too.”  He then leaned down so close to her naked body. “ I’m quite sure that your oblivious charms have ensnared many man but it won’t on me and…” He gripped Brooke hard with the hand left unoccupied by the knife. “ I’m sure that it didn’t work on the Scotsman. Though, you have to be one of the most beautiful women that I’ve ever seen. Still maybe I can be pursued to let you go unharmed.” The man smiled a sinister smile.

Ian silently made his way toward back of the cabin and turned off the switch on the fuse box. However had made his way in his house would be out of the element and he’d have the advantage.

The man above Brooke didn’t blink as the lights went out the only thing that displayed a reaction was the pressure of the knife. “ I guess you or whoever you work for had nothing to do with that, right? Well, it doesn’t matter.”  The man quickly covered Brooke’s mouth with his hand. Brooke bit down as hard as she could, but he didn’t move his hand, he only increased the pressure until she let up. Suddenly out of now where, a shadow of a figure came from above then and the figure attacked the man and he was thrown off of Brooke. Brooke could hardly see as her assignment and the shadow figured started to fight using a mixture of street fighting and karate. It seemed that the figure and man who had attacked her where equally matched, both dishing out blows, counter blocking hits and kicks. It was only when the man who had attacked her was hit with the moonlight coming through the window did the shadow figure stopped delivering his blows.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Brooke heard Ian’s voice and felt relieved to know that he had been the shadowed figure that had protected her. Ian recovered quickly and turned toward Brooke who was huddled on the floor, shaking with fear. He reached out toward Brooke.

“ Brooke ….” She didn’t answer him; she only stared at the other man with fear in her eyes. Ian swore. “ Ace, repair the lights. I’m quite sure that you know where the fuse box is.” The other man nodded and left the room. Ian knelt down next to Brooke. He saw the tears falling down her face and felt his heart clinch with pain. Ian cupped her face gently. “ Brooke, its alright you are safe now.”

“ He threw me down on the bed. He had a knife pressed against my throat.” The lights blared on and Ian’s eyes quickly adjusted. Seeing Brooke huddled naked in his bedroom along with the fear in her eyes scared him more than anything ever had. Brooke’s silk nightgown was lying on the floor. Ian quickly reached for Brooke and picked her up into his arms. “ It’s okay honey. Everything is going to be all right. I promise you that no one is going to hurt you.” Ian carried Brooke toward his bathroom and sat her on the rim of the Jacuzzi bath. He left for a moment and came back with a shirt of his. He put the shirt around Brooke, she tried to button it but her fingers were shaking so much, he ended up doing buttoning it up for her.

“ That man. Why did you let him go?” Brooke accused. “ He threw me on the bed and tore my nightgown off. He threatened me with a huge knife. I was so scared that he was going to rape me. I was all alone.” Brooke’s doe like eye looked up at him with accusation. “ You left me!”

“ Brooke I’m sorry. Listen, Ace wasn’t going to rape you…”

“ Ace!” Brooke looked up at him with horror. “ You know that monster.”

Ian sighed. He had no real way of explaining things to her after what happened. For Ace to come here, something had to be wrong. For Ace to “attack” Brooke the way that she said meant that he thought that she was someone else. Ace would never attack a woman in that way. But he’d used pressure tactics to scare the hell out of her and that was exactly what he had done. Ian swore mentally.  “ Answer me Ian, you know that man.”

“I do. He is a friend of mine.”

“A friend! He attacked me.”

“ He didn’t mean it. He didn’t know who you were; he thought you were someone else. Believe me Brooke, I’d never allow anyone to hurt you.” Ian caressed her face gently.

“ I’m sorry. I’m sorry that this happened.”

“ I really thought that he…..”

Ian took Brooke into his arms. “ I know. I know honey and I’m so sorry.”

Brooke’s body began to shake. “ You left me. You just left me and I was so scared. I’ve been alone for days.”

Ian rocked Brooke in his arms. Being near hear was like a drug. Her scent, her life forced seeped back into his body. “ You weren’t alone Brooke. I checked on you twice a day to make sure that you were all right. You were never really alone.”

Brooke pulled away. Her eyes were red and face tear streaked. “ Why? Why did you leave?”

Ian wiped away one of Brooke’s tears. “ I had to go. If I stayed than sooner or later I’d give into the temptation of you.  You’d end up in my bed.” Brooke didn’t disagree because deep in her heart she knew that was true. “ I needed time to think. I thought that you might have needed that as well. I wasn’t going to be gone for too long. I planned on coming back. Besides, you had my dog.” Brooke nodded and tried to smile but somehow it failed. Ian looked deeply into Brooke’s eyes. “ I’m sorry that this happened to you Brooke. I know that Ace scared you, I’m sorry for that.” Brooke’s eyes jumped as the man who attacked her appeared in the doorway. The man’s harsh face was no longer harsh, instead the man his rugged face looked just as if not more handsome than Ian’s.

“ I’m very sorry for what occurred here tonight. If I scare you…”

“ If you scared me? You tore off my nightgown, had you hands all over me.”

Ace looked at Ian, whose face displayed no outward emotion yet his eyes where dark. “ I know. I was checking for possible weapons.”

“ Is that what you call it, you asshole. You were going to hurt me. I thought that you were going to rape me.”

“ He wouldn’t have done that Brooke. He stripped you to scare you as well as search you.”

Brooke pushed away from Ian. “ I can’t believe that you are defending this monster Ian.”

“Ian?” The man said with a surprised tone.”  Ian quickly looked at the man who silenced instantly. “ Brooke, this is Harper Jones, but we call him Ace.”

“ I’m sorry about what happened Brooke.”

“ Sorry. You just so happened to wake up and attack women on a daily basis?” Ace said nothing for a moment as he studied the furious but extremely beautiful blonde. The last thing he ever expected when he came here was to find a woman. Ian had never mentioned a woman on his last call and he wasn’t the type to have a woman living with him. His guard was instantly up considering what had happened lately. He wasn’t about to lower it because of a sexy blonde in a skimpy nightgown.

“ I’m sorry for what I did, but you hadn’t lied and said that you were married to him. I knew that wasn’t true. I simply thought that you might be someone else other than what you looked to be.

Ian raised his eyebrow at Brooke. “ We are married?”

“This man pulled me out of bed. Had a knife at my throat kept asking me about someone named the Scotsman? I didn’t know who he was or what he wanted. So I LIED and said that I had a husband coming back. I thought that I could scare him.”

“ Brooke, that was very smart of you.” Ian said quietly.

Ace looked at Ian. “ You should have taught her how to protect herself. I was able to strip her and get her on the bed way to quickly. ”

“ Well, I’m sorry if I wasn’t prepared for getting attacked. I’ll have to remember to keep a gun under my pillow from now on. Now, just who in the hell are you?”

Ace grinned for a moment. “ She’s got guts. A few minutes ago she was crying and now she is full of fire.”

“ That is enough Ace. You scared Brooke.”

“Ian, can you please tell me what in the world is going on?”

Ian looked Ace and he left the bathroom. “ Ace is an old friend of mine. We worked together when I was a Navy SEAL. I’m not sure why he is here but he’d never hurt you. He may thought that you were the enemy and was trying to check you for weapons.”

“ Navy SEAL…enemy. I don’t understand. Are you in trouble?”

“No. At least I don’t think that I am. Brooke it is a complicated.”

“ You don’t plan to explain to me.”

“ No, I don’t plan on explaining it to you. I am however sorry that you got caught up in this.” Ian stated. Brooke didn’t understand, he hadn’t just been a Navy SEAL, he had worked black opts from time to time. He had loved the danger. It had been an adrenalin rush to him, but he had retired for Sophia. From time to time, the SEALS had needed him for tactical information but he wasn’t involved in the SEALS anymore. But Ace was here for a reason; Ian had to find out what it was.

Ian closed the door to his bedroom behind him. Ace looked up from the papers that he had been studying. “ Is she asleep?”

“Finally. She was very upset.”  Ian pinched the bridge of his nose. “ Especially because I couldn’t explain to her everything that was going.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t expect her to be here.” Ace studied Ian for a moment. “ I never would have handled her in that manner if I thought that she really had a relationship with you.”

“ Brooke and I aren’t in a relationship.”

“ Really, she called you Ian. I don’t think that I’ve ever really heard you called anything other than Mac or The Scotsman. You allowed her to call you by your given name. That means something.

“ She’s different.”

“Are you fucking her?”

“No.”

“ But you want too, don’t you. She’s got a killer body.” Ian gave Ace a cold look. Ace held up his hands in a mock stance. “ Hey, I’m sorry. You have to understand that I find this amusing. You, who has sworn off women, have a hot blooded blonde in your bed.”

“ Ace, I don’t think that you are here to discuss my sex life Ace. Why are you here?”

Ace threw some papers to Ian.  “ I need your help.”

Ian closed the door to his bedroom walking silently in his bedroom to check on Brooke. Ace was making calls on his cell phone while Ian had already cooked up his laptop to down load the layout of the weapons that Ace had asked for. Ian sat down on his bed watching Brooke sleep. She was so beautiful. He now regretted leaving her the way that he did. He gently caressed her face. Brooke opened her eyes to find Ian hovering above her. “ I’m sorry that I woke you. I was just checking up on you.”

“ You still aren’t going to tell me what is going on are you?”

Ian shook his head. “ No.”

Brooke sat up, why should she care what Ian was involved in. It didn’t involve her. Yet it stung that he refused to let her know what is going on. “ I guess that I should go to my bedroom.”

“ No. Ace will be here but only for one day at the most. I gave him your bedroom, you’ll stay in here with me.”

“ With you?”

“ Yeah. With me.”

Brooke didn’t object. Truthfully, she’d feel safer Ian’s bedroom with Ace around.“ Are you really a writer Ian?”

“Yes, I am.” Ian sighed. He guessed that he owed Brooke something. “ I used to be a Navy SEAL. I retired.  I’m not the type of man to side around so I decided to become a writer.”

“ Navy SEAL to writer, that is a long jump. What caused that?”

Ian’s eyes darkened. “It’s late and I have some work to do. Go to sleep.” Ian got up and walked half way toward the door before he came barreling back. He quickly cupped Brooke’s face covered her mouth with a heated kiss. Brooke sighed and opened her mouth under the probing of his tongue. She gave him full access of her mouth sliding her tongue inside of his mouth to stroke his tongue. Ian groaned and deepened the kiss. Fire erupted in his belly as his kissed her long and hard. Brooke’s sighs filled her ears as his mouth moved down her the slope of her neck. He inhaled her scent and nuzzled his face against the crook of it. Brooke closed her eyes and allowed her head to fall back. Ian pulled his head away from her neck and looked down into her beautiful eyes. His fingers found their way toward the buttons of his shirt that she was wearing. He slowly unbuttoned on button and bent his head to kiss the spot of naked skin that was displayed. Brooke’s hand tightened on the bed sheet. Ian was hard as a rock. He wanted to slowly strip her and see her naked body. He wanted to taste her but this wasn’t the time. Ian swore and pulled away. Why in the world did he leave? Three days he had been gone and those where days wasted. Three days he could have sated himself in her body, having wild passionate sex with her. But now there wasn’t time for that. He closed his eyes and sighed. “ I have to go and help Ace. I’ll check on you later, get some sleep.”

Brooke watched as he left. She was more confused than ever. Who was Ian really? What had he done as a Navy SEAL? Why was Ace here? And most importantly, who was Sophia. Brooke lay back down against Ian’s bed. Although the night had been terrifying to her she was glad that Ian was back home where he belonged.

Chapter 12

Ace stretched and loosened his long hair, which was being held back by a ponytail. He highlighted a point on a map. “That is where we are going in?”

“ How many guards?”

Ace circled five different points on the map. “ From our Intel, there are five here, four here and six at each checkpoint. But with Intel being what it is, who knows what could happen.”

Ian nodded. Ace had come to him about a mission. There had been a secret mission that Jeffery Jackson, their friend and Ian’s SEAL buddy in BUDS training was missing. He was taken hostage and was being kept alive as precaution measure. The government would not acknowledge what had been going on because Jeffery, or the Wingman as his SEALS nickname, was holding some very important documents that they didn’t want anyone to know about. Ace had been given the go ahead to put together a SEALS team for search and rescue. Since the mission was basically black opts, if anything were to happen to them, the government would not send anyone to rescue them or even acknowledge them. Ace knew the danger, just like Ian but they and their other friends,

Wingman whose name was Carl Newman, and Jackal whose given name was Kyle Rutherford. Wingman was a brand new father to twin girls and Jackal had recently gotten married six months ago. They all knew like Ian what type of risks they were taking but G-man was worth it. Ian, unlike his two SEALS buddies, had no one to worry if died. His parents were dead and he had no other brother and sisters. He had no wife and no kids. The only responsibility he had to Ellen, who had been a friend to his mother for a lifetime. He had always seen that she was taken care of but other than that and a few close friends that he had nobody would mourn his death. “ How are we on weapons?”

“ I have bunker full of M52’s, glocks and a couple of nice pieces. I’m sure that Jackal and Wingman will bring something from their personal stash.”

“ I agree. Do you know when we can expect them?”

“ Probably at 0800. That gives us a couple of hours.” Ace yawned. “ Considering all the planning and sleeping that we most likely aren’t going to get. I’m going to take a combat nap.”

“ That may be the best thing. I’ve finished ordering the T- sub that we might need. I’m going to work out the demo information then hit the sack.”

“ With Brooke? It’s not like you to sleep with a woman, you’d fuck them but not sleep with them.”

“She’s asleep. Plus I told you that it isn’t like that.”

“ It sure is something. This woman gets herself lost and finds her way here. I wish that we were all that lucky.”

Ian poured himself a glass of apple juice. “ Believe me, I didn’t see it that way. I was pissed at hell when she showed up. I like being alone.”

“ Yeah I know that you do. Besides, I have a feeling that she may have gotten in the way of your thoughts.”

“ I never said that.”

“ You didn’t have too.” Ace held up Ian’s sketchpad with a sketch of Brooke. “ Nice sketch, she is beautiful.” Ian took the sketchpad out of Ace’s hand and threw it on the coffee table. Ace shook his head, teasing The Scotsman, Ian’s nickname, wasn’t helping matters. Truthfully, he was trying to do something besides thinking about the mission. Tomorrow, when Jackal and Wingman got there all thought would be entirely centered on the mission. “Well, I have to say that I was shocked. The last thing I ever expected to see was a woman.”

“ Like I said, her visit was unexpected. Sooner or later, the roads will clear and she’ll clear out of here.”

Ace studied Ian for a moment. “ You like her, don’t you.”

Ian shrugged. “ She not so bad.”

“ She is every easy on the eyes.”

“ Yes, she is beautiful. Believe me, I fully expected her to be spoiled rotten, but she isn’t.”

“ You do know that we are going to have a do a background check on her.”

Ian sighed, he knew that. With Brooke being here, she may overhear something. A background check was needed to insure that Brooke was who she said that she was. Ian wasn’t thrilled about checking into Brooke’s background, after all he didn’t want her prying and for some strange reason, he wanted to learn about Brooke on his own. “ I know.” Ian rotated his shoulder. “ I was wondering if you could cover that Ace. If there is something that you really feel that I need to know, you’ll tell me otherwise, I really don’t want to know.”

“ You don’t want her thinking that you are checking up on her? That says a lot. You aren’t always the most considerate about other people’s feelings.”

“ Things are different.”

“ They sure are.” Ace said but he let that subject drop. “ How are things coming with the new book?”

Ian glanced up from his paperwork. “Things are coming along pretty well.”

“ That last one was really great. I read it in two days. I can’t believe it sometimes that you can write those courtroom dramas. They are really good man. I heard that your last three books made the bestsellers list. Is that true?”

Ian shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t like to really discuss his books. He wrote because he was an artist. He loved creating since it helped him deal with the remnants of taking ones life.

Ian heard a soft muffled sound of a cry. He got up from the sofa in his bedroom, where he had been sleeping and made his way toward his bed. He hadn’t wanted to tempt himself by sleeping next to Brooke.  He found that Brooke who was crying out in her sleep. For a moment he thought that she might be having a nightmare, who could blame her after the night’s activity. Ian went over to wake Brooke, when he was drawn to Brooke’s body language. Brooke was crying out in her sleep, she was arching slowly off the bed while the shirt she was wearing had come open. Her breast was full and her nipples were hard, her thighs rubbed up against each other. Ian studied Brooke with fascination; she was in the middle of an erotic dream. He heard the cries of her voice, the sounds that she made while her body moved off the bed. Ian swallowed hard. She was incredibly beautiful; her body amazing yet her sexual nature was evident from motions of her body. “ Ian…” She whispered. Ian felt a jolt of electricity go through his body. Her erotic dream was about him. God, if she only knew how many times he had dreamed about her. Ian threw the cover that had covered his naked body to the floor and crawled into bed next. Ian’s heart was beating fast as lowered his head to kiss her lips.  Brooke sighed and accepted his kiss in her sleep; she slowly woke when Brooke’s face turned red over her embarrassment since she vividly recalled her dream. “ I’m sorry.” Ian caught Brooke hand in his and placed in on his chest. Brooke’s breathe caught in her throat as Ian pulled her down partially on top of him. He cupped her head and kissed her. Brooke’s body relaxed on top of Ian’s body. She gasped when she realized that he was naked.

“ You are naked.” Brooke said in a breathy quality.

“ I always sleep naked.” Ian fingered the collar of Brooke’s shirt. “ I like seeing you in my shirt.”  Ian’s chest heaved as he slowly parted his shirt exposing her full breast to his vision. Brooke shivered as his eyes devoured her breast and full nipples. Ian used a finger to trace a globe of Brooke’s breast slowly watching her reaction to his touch. “ You are more beautiful than anything that I’ve seen.” His finger moved slowly around her nipple causing shivers to run throughout her body. “ I hated you for being so beautiful, for making me want you from the moment that you stepped through that door.” Ian’s finger graced her nipple. “ Then when I got to know you, I found out that you were equally beautiful inside and that make me even angrier.”

“ Why” Brooke asked trying so hard to keep her voice calm. She shouldn’t be here, in Ian’s bed with him like this. Hadn’t she learned that passion only caused heartache? Yet she couldn’t turn away.

“ It made me angry because I had sworn off women. I was angry because I was fine all alone with my writing and you disturbed that. You made me think about you constantly. I hated that but I don’t hate you.”  Ian’s mouth came in contact with Brooke nipple as he pulled her astride of him. “You have done nothing put to invade my dreams and thoughts woman.” He gently took the nipple in his mouth suckling it gently. Brooke threw her head back and cried out as his hands cupped her back and put her breast further into his mouth. Ian moved his administrations to her other breast not wanting to ignore one. Brooke felt his hard member in between her legs rubbing hard against her aching warmth. It would be so easy for her to open her legs wider and take him into her body. Ian flipped Brooke over so she was on her back.  He pulled his head away from her breast and looked down at her face. His lips took hers in a passionate kiss and while his fingers trailed down her breast, past her flat stomach toward her aching heat between her legs. Brooke’s eyes dilated as Ian’s fingers found her hot, moist, center. Ian thought that he’d die, his fingers found her wet, just the way that he envisioned. He slid his tongue inside of her mouth just as his finger rubbed gently against her aching nub. He felt Brooke’s shiver against his mouth as his finger caused fierily eruptions inside of his body. Brooke moved against him, her mouth suckling his tongue inside of his mouth, her creamy essence coating his finger. Her cried filled his mouth as he gently pushed a finger inside of her. Brooke’s inner muscles clenched around his finger. She was so hot and so tight that he couldn’t believe how good his felt. Brooke cried out as he slid the finger out and then back inside of her hot warmth.  Ian’s mouth moved down her body toward her aching breast. “ Have you thought about how it would be between us?”

“ Yes” Brooke cried out. It was hard to talk with his hands and his mouth on her body.

With that Ian slid two fingers inside of her warmth. Brooke’s body practically arched off the bed. Ian found her breast again while his fingers moved in and out of her incredible body. The scent of her smell filled the room and it made even harder than he was before.

Ian’s mouth suckled against her breast and Brooke, who was already aching with need. Brooke mouth opened and her cried filled the room. Brooke bit her lower lip to cut off her cry. Brooke’s body moved against Ian’s fingers. She needed this, she couldn’t hold off anymore.

“ That right…” Ian murmured against her breast. “ Come for me Brooke.”  Ian then suckled harder against her breast; it was all that they needed for her to be pushed over the edge.  Brooke cried out as the throbbing ecstasy filled her body. Ian lay next to Brooke feeling her pulsating heat clench his fingers. He studied Brooke and watched with amazement as her eyes finally cleared of passion and found his. “ I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist you. You were so beautiful.” Brooke blushed. She couldn’t believe that she had been having an erotic dream about him and he had found her. Ian slid his fingers out of Brooke and trailed those fingers up her body. Brooke watched as he slipped on of those fingers in his mouth to suck the remnants of her essence off his finger. “You taste so sweet..”  Ian pulled Brooke’s body close to his. He then pulled the covers up to cover them both. Brooke looked up at Ian with a question in her eyes. “ I’ve had plenty of erotic dreams about you since the moment I saw you. You intoxicate me. He pulled Brooke’s head down for a gentle kiss. Once the kiss ended, Brooke lay her head down on Ian’s muscular chest. She wasn’t sure what was happening to them. After everything that she had gone through, she had allowed her passion to rule her. Was she doing that again? What did she know about Ian? Nothing but she knew that her body wanted him and tonight he sated the fire inside of her. Brooke slowly drifted asleep, her body sated but her mind was confused.

Ian stepped under the hot spray of water falling from the shower. His thoughts were centered on the naked woman on in his bed. Last night had been pure hell on him. Lying there, last night had been like murder. He had wanted her yet he didn’t take her all because of his personal ethics. She had been asleep in the middle of an erotic dream and he awoke her taking unfair advantage of her. He didn’t want her like that, so aroused that she didn’t have a clear thought about what she had been doing. He wanted her to know that it was him and accept fully that he was making love to her.

.

Brooke poured herself a cup of coffee, it was 7:30 am and she was up and dressed. Lying in Ian’s bed wasn’t an option. Ian had been gone for more than an hour. Brooke was caught up in her thoughts of Ian that she didn’t notice Ace when he entered the room.

“ Are you alright?”

Brooke turned toward Ace. She nodded. “ Yes, I guess that I was just caught up in my thoughts.”

“ Listen Brooke. I know that we got off on the wrong foot last night. I want you to know that I am truly sorry for scaring you.”

Brooke tilted her head toward the side. “ You really thought that I might be a risk for Ian?”

Ace nodded. “ In all these years that I had been friends with Ian, no woman has ever been here. I was on guard and I really do apologize. I wouldn’t have raped you. I just wanted to scare you.”

“ Well, you certainly did that.” Brooke bit her lower lip. Brooke didn’t know what else she could say. She didn’t want have tension between her and Ace. She wasn’t really comfortable with him but hopefully she would get over the feeling. Brooke took out a coffee mug. “ Would you like a cup of coffee? Ian has a wonderful selection of coffee.”

Ace nodded. “ That would be great.” Brooke poured and handed Ace a cup of coffee.

“ I was going to cook breakfast. Homemade blueberry waffles and bacon. Would you like some?”

“ Yes, its been a while since a beautiful woman has cooked me breakfast.”

Brooke who was wearing dark blue jeans and ribbed cream-colored turtleneck smirked.

“ Good looks and charming too.”

“ You think that I’m good looking?” Ace wore a black t-shirt that was and blue jeans. His muscles budged against the confines of his shirt, and his tattoo on his right bicep. His long blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail.

“In my line of business I see all sorts of men. You do have the bold, handsome quality.”

“ And yesterday you were calling me a monster.”

“ Oh, I haven’t changed my opinion of you totally.  You scared the hell out of me, but Ian explained part of the situation to me. I’m just noting that you have looks and charm.”

“ Good looks and charm, compared to Mac?”

“ Ian doesn’t have the charm that you obviously have but he does have a certain quality to him. Maybe it is the brutal honesty but I find it very refreshing. Although some of his comments can be a little cutting, there are times when he has a way of seeing things. He isn’t what I thought he was. That fact that he is handsome wasn’t the first thing that I noticed. He more or less looked like a scary hermit with his beard and all. Then there was his belligerent attitude.”

“ But you weren’t put off by Mac’s nature.”

Brooke sat down at the table. “ Of course I was. When I first came here, he didn’t even want me to let me the cabin, not to mention be here. Every time he saw me, he practically growled and frowned. He also called me lady for two days.”

“ You got him to let you stay. That says a lot. Mac doesn’t like women.”

“ You call him Mac, why?”

“ Its his nickname. During BUDS training as part of becoming a SEAL, we all get nicknames, Ian was called two things The Scotsman or Mac.”

“ Why?”

“ Ian’s family was from Scotland so he is a Scot.” That surprised Brooke but it seemed to make sense. “ There is a large blanket decorated above the fireplace in his bedroom. It’s a kilt isn’t it?”

“ Yeah. Mac is proud of his heritage.”

“ What about Mac, why do you call him that?”

“ Well, that comes from abbreviating his last name, McKenzie. We call him Mac.”

“ His last name…” Brooke played with her coffee cup. Like her, he had a nickname that dealt with his last name.”  Ian McKenzie Brooke smiled for a moment. The front door opened and Ian stepped into the living room. “ I’ve set everything up in the bunker. The tactical information has been downloaded into the palming components.”

Ace nodded. “ I’ll take a look at them.” He winked at Brooke. “ Don’t forget to call me when breakfast is done.” Ace threw his jacket on and strode out the door into the falling snow.  Ian frowned, it seemed that Brooke and Mac were obviously comfortable having their conversation at the breakfast table. Together they looked like they belonged in an ad of some sort. Both blonde and stunning looking.  Ace had a way with the ladies and Brooke was more than an ordinary lady.  Brooke felt Ian’s eyes on her; she wondered what he had been thinking about. Was he thinking about last night in his bed? Brooke wanted to break the ice.

“ You have a bunker?”

Ian ignored Brooke. He whistled for Sam and opened the front door to let him run outside.  He walked into his study and came back out with a large suitcase and put some papers in it. Brooke sighed, it seemed that they were taking a step back and not forward.

“ Ian, are you going to answer me?”

“Yes Brooke.” Ian sighed. “ I have a bunker.”

“ Where is it?”

“ It is not too far from here.”

“ Is there were you were the last couple of days?”

Ian looked at her with cold eyes. “ No. I was somewhere else. I’ll be gone most of the day, Ace and I have work to get done.”

Brooke took a hesitant step forward. “ I’m cooking breakfast. If you come back in an half of an…”

“ I don’t want anything to eat.”

Brooke felt as if she had been slapped. What in the hell had happened? She was nervous last night, but she never thought that he would go back to treating her like she was the enemy but he was. “ Ian is everything all right.”

Ian opened the front door. “ Everything is fine Brooke. You go ahead and eat your breakfast. I’ve got more important things to worry about than what you are eating.” Ian had to get away from her at the moment. Ace was his friend. They had worked together for years. He had too much to do to think about how sexy Brooke looked in a simple pair of jeans and a turtleneck. Nor did he have time to think about how lush her lips were, full her breast were, how sweet she tasted. All he could do was think about how she had been smiling at Ace when he walked in. Anger grew in the pit of his stomach. It figured, as soon as someone better came along, she was flirting with him.  He didn’t blame Ace for what happened, he blamed Brooke. Ian walked out and slammed the door behind him. Brooke stood dismayed by his actions. She shivered slightly. “ Thank god, thank god that you didn’t have sex with him. You see how he would have treated you.” Brooke felt tears wield up in her eyes. She couldn’t believe it; she allowed that ass to hurt her feeling.

Love Story Chapter 13

Ace studied the Intel that Ian downloaded on his computer system, thanks to Ian’s connections and Ace’s password; they were able to get the Intel quickly without the hassle of going through the proper channels of the department. There simply wasn’t the time for going through those channels with SEALS’ lives were in danger. Like himself, Ian had created a secret bunker that housed weapons, tracking devices, and a kickass computer system with all the latest equipment. Ace hadn’t had the time to go back to his home to get all the supplies that he needed, but he hasn’t worried since he knew that Ian had everything that they would need.  “ Mac I bought some T-4 along with some other explosives just in case you didn’t have any around.”

Ian looked up for the newly created computer system on the digital screen that mapped out the area that they would be entering in. Ian stood up and punched a security code on the wall unit on the left. The door swung open to layers of what looked like gray bricks, put where T-4. “ I should have enough.”

“ Hell, Mac what were you planning a war?”

Ian shrugged. “ You never know when something unexpected comes up. You know that motto. It’s better to be prepared.”

“ ..than to have you pants caught down around your feet and you ass bare.” Ace chimed. He glanced at his watch. “ Wingman and Jackal should be here soon.”

“ Good, we’ve got a lot to do in a small amount of time.”

“ Mac, what you are going to tell Brooke about is going on?”

“Nothing. It isn’t any of her business. Besides it’s classified.”

“ Come on. I know that it is classified, but it’s not like we can lock her up somewhere. She doesn’t seem like the type to sit there and say nothing. We have to come up with something. After last night, I’m sure that she’s upset and then you add Wingman and the Jackal she’s going to ask questions. It’s only natural.”

Ian was annoyed. Why was Ace so concerned about what Brooke thought? “ Like I stated earlier, it isn’t any of her business. She will keep her mouth shut and do what I say.”

Ace looked at Ian for a moment. Normally Ian’s voice was always calm although once in a while it would get gruff. Even in times of heavy fire he was always cool. Yet at the mention of Brooke he had anger and fire in his voice. “ If you say so. But for one don’t think that one little lady is going to keep her mouth shut. Seriously Mac, you are going to have to tell her something. We have the mission to think of I can’t worry about her saying something.”

“ She isn’t going to say something. Okay. Besides there isn’t anyone for her to talk to out here.”

“ Maybe you should deal with this Brooke thing now.”

“ What Brooke thing?” Ian returned his attention to his computer screen.

“ Yea. How about breakfast? She cooked all that food and she was disappointed that you didn’t eat with her.”

“ I don’t give a damn about her disappointment. I have work to do and I can’t worry about hurting her precious feelings. Besides I have a feeling that you and she had plenty to talk about.”

Ace blanched. “ Hey look…Mac. You and me go a long way. I’d never bone in on your woman.”

“ She isn’t my woman.” Ian said in a growl. He looked up at Ace who had a non-believing look on his face. “ She isn’t. Besides. I’m not upset with you. You have honor and I know that if she were my woman, you’d never touch her. But you don’t have to worry about that. She isn’t mine.”

“ That isn’t what it looks like last night.”

“ I don’t care what it looked like. She doesn’t mean anything to me.”

“Come on Mac, with all that heat?”
“Its just sexual attraction. I haven’t had a woman in months and she is sexy as hell.”

Ace shook his head. “ So that is all that it is?”

“Yes. That all it is and all that it will ever be.”

“ Is that why you practically took my head off yesterday? Come one Mac, I saw the way that you looked at her. What happened? All of a sudden you are…”

“ Ace! We got a lot of work to do. We have a mission to plan and you asking me all these questions about Brooke like we are kicking it and watching a ballgame. Let’s keep our attention where it belongs, on planning this mission.”

Ace heard the anger in Ian’s voice. The topic of Brooke was a sore issue for Ian. That meant she really got to him. It was too bad that this was coming at time in which they had a mission. Ace hoped that Brooke wasn’t getting to Ian too much, they had a mission and the last thing he needed was Ian’s attention diverted. But he really didn’t have to worry, Ian was a professional and the best at what he did.

“Megan, fax me the conference notes on Ridge’s meeting with Marco.”

“ No problem. I’ll send it right away.”

“ Good, I also will e-mail you the notes on Ridge’s latest designs.  I’ll conference with Eric tomorrow about them. Let him know I’ll be calling around 3 p.m.”

“ I’ll let him know.” Megan tapped her pencil on the desk on the other side of the desk.

“ Brooke you’ve been communicating to Ridge through Eric the last two months or so. Are you sure that you don’t want to talk to him yourself?”

“ I’m sure Megan.”

“ It has something to do with what happened in Paris doesn’t it? Brooke I so hoped that this time alone would help.”

“No” Brooke signed. “ Believe it or not, it isn’t about that. I just don’t want a lot of stress at the moment. But believe me, the last thing that I’m thinking about at the moment is Ridge.”

“ Really. That is wonderful. It seems that time away must be doing you some good. I know that you aren’t alone like you were supposed to be and you are snowed in with some man but it is good that you are okay. Brooke, truthfully I’m more than a little worried. Who is this man?”

Brooke didn’t know what to day about Ian. Especially after the way that he treated this morning, she didn’t know what to say. What could she say? She had almost slept with this loner with major secrets and he treated her like she had the plague. Boy, there was a time that she had men falling all over to see her and now Ian acted like she was some pest that he couldn’t be bothered to deal with. “ Megan, who he is really isn’t important. All that matters is that I’m safe.”

“ Brooke, who he is, IS important. Rick and Bridget are worried.”

“ They shouldn’t be worried. I talked to both of them.”

“ Brooke you can’t blame them. You are their mother.”

“ Calm their nerves for me please. I’m all right and I’m in good hands. In fact….” Brooke’s voice trailed off as she heard what sounded like a helicopter. Brooke hurried to look out the bay windows to see if she was correct. She didn’t see anything but she heard the helicopter. “ Megan. I’m sorry, but I’ve got to go.”

“ Brooke, wait…”

“ Sorry. I’ll talk to you later.” Brooke hung up the phone and hurried to the rack where her coat was. She quickly put her coat on and hurried outside. She looked around yet the whirling snow basically blinded her and whipped at her hair and her face. “ What in the hell is going on?” She yelled more to herself than anyone since she was by herself. Was she going crazy, she could have sworn that she had heard a helicopter? “ All of this time isolated is making me crazy.” Brooke shook her head and headed back to the cabin to make a warm cup of coffee to get rid of the chill that had swept through her body.

Wingman and Jackal headed quickly toward the isolated house in the middle of the snow.

“ It figures that Mac would isolate himself like this.”

“ He was always a loner. This place suits him.” They headed silently up toward the cabin.

Wingman looked through the window. “ Do you see what I see?” Jackal looked through the window and saw a blonde woman sipping a cup coffee.

Jackal couldn’t believe it. “ A woman here at Mac’s? I can’t believe that.” They all knew that Mark had sworn off women at least in the relationship aspects. They both wondered who she was.

“ Did you know that he was involved with someone?”

“No.” Wingman stated. “ To my knowledge he hasn’t have any type of involvement with anyone since Sasha. I don’t have a clue who she is.  But we don’t have time to contemplate what is going on. We’ve got work to do. Still…she’s a looker.”

The two men headed past the cabin to the hidden bunker that they had been radioed directions too.

Brooke studied the figures that she had written on the paper in front of her. She has spent the last two hours not dealing with Forrester work, but her own chemical elements for her latest idea. Brooke almost couldn’t wait to get back into the Forrester lab. As much as she hated to admit it at the moment, Ian was correct, when you were passionate about your work it can consume you. As much as she loved her projects at Forrester, she had really missed the creative side that being a chemist had given her. Brooke stretched and yawned. The quietness of the cabin filled her. For hours Ian and Ace had been gone in his bunker. What were they working on?  Where was this bunker that Ian had mentioned? She had so many questions that she wished that she had the answers too. Ace hadn’t been the most forth coming with information during breakfast. In fact, the only thing that she had gotten out of him was that he was a SEAL like Ian. Brooke put “Dark Promises”, the book that she had been reading down and headed toward Ian’s bedroom. She knew that she really shouldn’t be going through his things but she couldn’t seem to help it. She desperately wanted to have something, to know something that would give her insight to the man that he was. She pulled out his photo album and couldn’t help to be drawn to the photos with the beautiful dark haired woman. Brooke wondered again what had happened to the beautiful woman whom Ian must have loved. What had happened to the clearly happy man in the photo to replace with the man who could be cold hearted at the drop of a hat. “ Oh Brooke, will you just listen to yourself. Haven’t you learned enough? What ever happened to Ian is not your business. It would be best if you just stayed clear of that cold hearted jerk.”  Brooke remember the cold and heartless way that he had talked to her that morning, but still her eyes were drawn to the large comfortable bed in his bedroom. How in the world was she going to do that when she and he were to share the same bed? How was she going to do that even after he clearly regretted what had happened between them the night before yet she still wanted him. How could this have happened? Hadn’t she learned anything in her marriage and subsequent divorce that following her heart, or in the case of Ian, her loins would only bring her downfall. Brooke’s memory flashed on her mouth on her body. “ God Brooke. What is it going to take to get him out of your mind?” Brooke paced back and forth. She had to do something in order to get him out of her mind.  Brooke thought for a moment, she knew just the thing that she needed.

Carl aka the Wingman studied the charts in front of him. He like the others new that this mission was damn near impossible, but yet they had taken it. His wife Daphne had been in near tears when he left. That spoke volumes to him, Daphne was everything that he had wanted in a woman, loving, smart and tough. She had never cried when he’d be gone on dangerous missions, however this mission was different. It was almost suicidal, and if something happened to him, his country would never acknowledge what he was doing.  He and Daphne had discussed his mission for he could never go on something dangerous like this without discussing it with her. But, she understood. His SEAL buddy life was at stake, it could have possibly been him and if it had he’d hope that someone could come looking for him. Still, his wife meant more than anything and he loved her all the more for understanding and supporting his mission. Carl looked around the bunker. There was his team, they’d worked together for years and trusted each other. He’d die for these men just like he’d die for them. Ace, Jackal and Mac were good men. They had all signed on for this mission knowing that it could cost them their lives. These types of missions were hard; it may be easier on Ace and Mac more than anyone because they weren’t married. Still he was sure that Ace had some girlfriend somewhere and a kid sister that depended on him, however Ian was different. Ian was essentially alone. His parents were dead; he had no family that anyone knew about it. The closest thing that he had to family was Sasha and that had been over for years. Carl wondered who the blonde woman was and what she meant to Ian. He knew that the other men wondered the same thing.

“ Wingman. What is your take on containing the situation?” Ian stated.

“ Truthfully, it looks grim. We can take out the guards with no problem but the leader, based on the Intel, has a triggered the entire building with bombs that is attached to a created pacemaker. If he were to die or his heart rate to drop to a certain rate, the whole thing will blow.”

“ Shit.” Ian wiped his face with his hands. “ It the building were to go up then so would the chemical compound that G-man is holding will go up too. If that happens then it means that 400 square miles will be contaminated.”

Ace cursed, staying everything that all the men in the room had been thinking. Warren Mitchell aka Jackal frowned. “ It seems that were are defiantly going to in a tight spot.”

“ Tighter than a cherry red virgin on prom night.” Ace chimed.

Jackal and Wingman both laughed but soon the laughter became silence and the men returned to creating a strategic plan to safe their friend and the lives of over thousands of people.

Brooke hit the punching bag again trying her best to get out all of her aggression. Music blared in the homemade gym that Ian had created in the large basement of his cabin. The large worn black punching bag swung toward her she gave a hard left hook. Wearing a black sports bra and a pair of short pair of gray running shorts along with her own black punching gloves, she was more than equipped to deal with. Droplets of sweat ran down in between Brooke’s full breast. She had been at it, punching and kicking that bag for the last half an hour. Brooke continued to hit the bag, her punching gloves hitting against the bag hard, her muscles hurt, her body ached, but it was a good ache.

Ian stopped when he heard music coming from downstairs. He really hadn’t come back into the cabin but he now found himself moving silently down the stairs. Brooke was so engrossed in her workout that she didn’t hear Ian approach her. Ian watched her in silently. She was good. Her punches where on center with a lot of power behind them. Clearly Brooke was used to working out. Unexpectedly, the more that she punched the bag, the more aroused he became watching her. She was all fire. His eyes devoured the   tiny beads of perspiration her flat naked stomach. Ian hated Brooke at that moment. Hated the fire that erupted inside of him. Hated the need that grew inside of him, which called out for him to taste the salty sweatiness of the sweat off her skin. Brooke gritted her teeth as she hit the bag while the ponytail her hair was swept up into swung with her head. The sound of the grunt that she made was so erotically intoxicating he closed his eyes with desire. What in hell was he going to do? Even now, even after watching her that morning with Ace, he still wanted her. Even with his anger and truthfully the jealousy that filled his heart, he still wanted her. Brooke stepped away from the bag and turned toward the doorway where she found Ian watching her with his probing eyes. Brooke’s chest heaved as her lungs tried to take in air.

“ I see that you’ve made yourself quite at home.” He said dryly.

“ Well physical exercise is a good way to release tension.”

“ Tension huh?” Brooke looked away. The last thing that she wanted him to know was that his words earlier had hurt her especially when she still desired him.“ I’m quite sure that you have plenty of tension to release if hitting that bag is an indictor. But then again, I’m sure that part of it must be sexual tension.”

Brooke arm’s dropped to her sides. “ Sexual tension?” Brooke couldn’t believe the gall of Ian. How dare he bring up what happened between them in such a manner.

“ Yes, sexual tension.” Ian’s eyes devoured her body. “ You reek of it.” His eyes zeroed in on her erect nipples. “ Your nipples are hard right now.”

Brooke crossed her arms over her aching breast. “ How dare you talk to me like that?”

Ian shook his head and made his way into the room. “ I can talk to you anyway that I like besides why are you trying to hide the obvious truth.”

Brooke turned away; she was ashamed that her lust for him was obvious even now. She took of her boxing gloves. “ The truth comes out doesn’t it? You know, I thought that the brooding hermit routine was bad but I thought that it was just a wall that you erected because of your distrust. But this new attitude of your. The condescending asshole is much worse. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to find out that this is what you are like. For you to throw my attraction up in my face is low.”

“ Well, isn’t that rich coming from you? You have some nerve to judge me after this morning.”

“ This morning? What are you talking about?”

“Don’t act like you don’t know. That little flirting routine that you were pulling with Ace…”

“ What? What in the world are you talking about? I wasn’t flirting with Ace.”

Ian shook his head. “ You are just like the rest of them aren’t you? Willing to lie to the end.”

Brooke turned with her hands on her hips. “ Let get something straight. Mr. Ian McKenzie. I have never nor will I ever be like any other woman you ever met. Second, I wasn’t flirting with YOUR FRIEND. When I decide to flirt with a man there is a big difference. Seduction isn’t just a smile and a wink. When I decide to seduce a man, I all out and he never forgets it. Third, I am not interested in Ace. The man practically attacked me last night do you really think that I have overlooked that fact.”

“ You really expect me to believe you aren’t interested in him?”

“ I don’t give a damn about what you think especially after today. You’ve insulted me. Been rude and accused me of flirting with a man that I hardly know especially when all I was doing was talking about you.” Brooke turned angrily away from Ian. She was furious that he thought so low of her that he thought that she’d flirt with Ace. “ I just can’t believe you. How could you’d think that I sit and flirt with Ace especially after….” Brooke stopped speaking. Ian desperately wanted to know what she was going to say. He had seen the flash of pain in her eyes, clearly it was from hurt. He had somehow hurt her.

“Especially after what?”

“Oh no. If you think that I’m going to tell you what I’m thinking after the callous way that you have just treated me, you’ve got another thing coming. I’m just sorry that I spent that time trying to get to know more about you.” Brooke walked away from Ian. She turned and hit the bag to get some of her aggression out. In her haste, she forgot that she had taken her boxing gloves off and the contact of the heavy bag on her knuckles caused her to cry out in pain. Ian instantly was next to her; he took her fist into his hands.

“ Look at what you did…” His fingers traced the reddish looking knuckles of her right hand. “ You’ve got to be more careful, you could have really hurt yourself.”

Brooke tried to pull her hand out of Ian’s. God, she hated the way that her body betrayed her. Just the mere touch of his fingers tracing her knuckled caused her body to react. She did her best not to react yet a full pulse of desire erupted between her legs. “ Let go of me.” Brooke almost didn’t recognize her voice for it was so breathy and horse.

Ian didn’t want to let go of her hand. Truthfully, he wondered if she would ever let him touch her again. He had been wrong. He had allowed his jealousy to cloud his vision. Brooke hadn’t been flirting with Ace; he knew instinctively that she had been telling the truth. He also knew that he had been a total bastard to her. He had treated her coldly and most likely hurt her feelings. For that, he was truly sorry.

Brooke tried again to pull her hand out of his grip but he didn’t let her. “ Let go of my hand.”

Ian sighed and finally relented. “ Brooke. If I misunderstood what you were doing with Ace well…..” Ian paused for a moment. He truly wasn’t used to making apologizes.

 “ Well then I’m sorry.”

Brooke’s eyes narrowed. “ You call that an apology?”

Ian frowned. “ Hell yes that was apology. If that isn’t good enough for you then I’m sorry.”

“ You are an ass.”

Ian shrugged his. “ I’ve been called worse.” He picked up Brooke’s discarded gloves.

“Why were you asking Ace about me?”

“ Don’t worry, I wasn’t trying to uncover your secrets.”

“ Who said that I had secrets?”

Brooke laughed. “ Oh please. You are probably the most secretive man that I have ever known.” Ian said nothing. There were things that he could never tell anyone, it had all been part of his job as a SEAL. “ What nothing to say? No witty retort? Well that certainly is new.”

Ian’s eyes darkened for a moment he looked clearly dangerous to Brooke. “ What did you ask Ace.”

Brooke was tired of fighting and she knew that was all that she was going to have if she didn’t tell him. “ I was just asking about why he called you Mac. He told me that it was your nickname when you were a SEAL.”

“ What else did he say?”

“ He apologized for the way that he manhandled me last night.” Brooke saw a flash of something in Ian’s eyes. “ Why are you so concerned about me talking to Ace about you? Are you hiding something?”

How could Ian answer that question. Of course he was hiding something. He had spent nearly a lifetime hiding things. “ I’m not worried about anything.”

“Are you hiding something?”

“Brooke… I can’t answer that.”

“ That’s right. I’m not trustworthy.”

“ I didn’t say that.”

“ Yes you did. You actions proved it. The moment you saw me with Ace you jumped to the wrong conclusion. You instantly thought the worst. I get so tired of that. I get so tired of people thinking the worst of me.”

“ I don’t think the worst of you.” Ian said quietly.

“You did..”

“ It was jealously.”

Brooke stilled. “Jealously?” Brooke looked at him with awe. “You were jealous of Ace?”

“ I didn’t like seeing you with him. Believe me, I don’t like it anymore than you. Ace is my friend but seeing you smiling at him did something to me. Then I thought about last night. The fire between you and me and it only made me madder because I wanted you so much.” Ian’s head lowered to hers. “ Just like I want you now.”  He took total possession of her mouth, using his tongue to stroke inside of hot crevasses of her warm mouth.  She tasted sweet like cinnamon and he wanted more. He wanted to taste all of her and finish what he had started the night before. She was everything, hot, sweet and full of fire. He tightened the grip on her head and deepened the stroke of his tongue. Brooke’s aching body came into contact with his, she her nipples were ached against his chest while her heat cradled Ian’s obvious erection. Ian used his thumb to widen Brooke’s mouth when she suddenly pulled away.

“No”

Ian’s eyes darkened with desire. “ Don’t tell me that you didn’t enjoy it, I can clearly see that you did.”

Brooke licked her stinging lips. Yes, she had enjoyed the kiss but she wasn’t about the make the same mistake that she had made before. “ I’m sorry but it isn’t going to be that easy. You insulted me and if you think that a kiss is going to make me forget the way that you reacted, you have another thing coming.”

“ I said that I was sorry.”

“ And I’m supposed to forget about everything just because you said that you were sorry?”

Ian crossed his arms over her chest. “ I don’t apologize to anyone. So you can either leave it or take it.”

“ Well, then I guess that I can just leave it.” Brooke picked up her boxing gloves and brushed past Ian. Ian stood there for a moment, not understanding what had happened. He had apologized to her yet she acted like it wasn’t good enough. “ Just what I thought, spoiled.” We he wasn’t apologizing any more. He said that he was sorry. He had much more important things to do than to worry about Brooke. Ian licked his lips. He could still taste her in his mouth. That kiss hadn’t been satisfying enough for him, he wanted much more from her than a kiss. Ian frowned; he didn’t have time for this. He had a mission to plan.

Brooke headed out of the hallway toward the living room. She was furious, with herself and with Ian. He had accused her of flirting with Ian and she wasn’t going to forget that so easily. Obviously he thought that she was loose. Brooke almost laughed, hell if he thought that now, she wondered what he would think if he ever found out about her “scandalous” past. Brooke had been caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the three men around the table until she was upon them. The three men who had been talking stopped and studied her. Ace had an appreciative grin on his face studying Brooke’s attire or lack of attire. Next to him slicing turkey that Brooke had cooked the other night was huge black man with a body like a linebacker, gorgeous face and a bald head. In comparison to size, the third man was smaller than Ace and black man, he still however was a least 6 feet tall and build lean although he too physically fit with lean muscles, his face wasn’t classically handsome as the others yet he had a rugged quality to his face. Running his hands through his crew cut, he smiled at Brooke.

“ You must be Brooke.”

Brooke didn’t know what to say. Where had these men come from? She glanced out the window to see that the snow was still falling steadily. “Where did you come from? Are the roads passable now?”

“ Sorry but the roads are still closed.”  Ace answered as he went back to putting bread on the plates. We are making sandwiches, do you want one?”

“ How did you all get here? And who are you?”

Ian had come into the living room to here the last part of Brooke’s question. “ Brooke man built like a linebacker there is Carl, we call him Wingman.”

Carl smiled at Brooke. “ Its nice to meet you Brooke.”

“ The smaller man is ________ we like to call him Jackal.”

“ He, watch the small man jokes.” Jackal stated with an Australian accent. He took Brooke’s hand and kissed it. “ I must tell you that Mac here has been a quiet about you. But looking at a lovely like you, I can see why he’d want you to stay hidden.”

Brooke looked at Ian. “ I’m not sure what Ian has been telling you about me, although I’m quiet sure with his communication skills it has been little or nothing. But I’d like to make things clear fellas, he isn’t hiding me anywhere. In fact, I’m only here to the snow stops and I can get the hell out of here.”

Jackal grinned at Ian. “ Feisty isn’t she?”

Ian frowned. “ That’s enough. We have work to do.” Ian however couldn’t seem to get Brooke’s comments out of his head. She wanted to leave, but truthfully it would be him who would be leaving.

Ace nodded. “ I’ll finish up the sandwiches.”

“ None of you have answered my questions, how did you get here?”

Wingman looked at Ian for a minute before he answered. “ We got here my chopper.”

“ I thought that I heard a helicopter.” Brooke frowned for a moment. “ What is going on here? Why did you come here in helicopter, does it have something to do with you being a Navy SEAL, I’m assuming that is what you are.”

Ian moved so he stood next to Brooke. “ Listen Brooke, I’m not going to get into everything, but we have a mission to complete.”

“ A mission?”

Ian looked uncomfortable, he could have sworn that the moment that he mentioned mission, he saw fear in Brooke’s eyes. “ Yes.”

“ What is it?”

“I can’t tell you.”

“ You can’t tell me? Why am I not surprised by that?”

“ Brooke, cut Mac a little slack. We aren’t allowed to say what it is that we are doing. Hell, we just have to leave.” Wingman stated.

“ I thought that you were a writer. I’m confused Ian, what is going on?”

Ian felt naked. He knew that he couldn’t explain everything to Brooke. He had never had any problem telling people to mind their own businesses, but he saw the concern in her eyes, after all that had happened between them earlier, he really didn’t want to upset her any further. He looked at his teammates, hell; he wasn’t going to get all soft in front of them. “Brooke, let it go. I have a mission.”

“ You lied to me about being a writer.”

“ No, I didn’t lie. Listen….hell just let it go.”

“ No, Ian. I can’t let it go. I want to know just who in the hell I’ve been snowed in with these last week or so. First I thought that you were some crazed hermit. Then I found out that you are a writer but then again I find that you are some ex- Navy SEAL but you really aren’t an ex-SEAL are you? What is going on? What mission are you going on?”

Ian said nothing. “ Damn you, say something!”

“ I’ve already told you Brooke. I’m going on a mission.”

“ Fine, when you leave for this secret mission of yours, just make sure that you drop me off in civilization.”

Brooke turned to march off when Ian caught her by her arm. “ I’m sorry Brooke but I can’t do that.”

“ What?” Brooke asked incredulously.

“ You heard me. I’m leaving but you are staying where you are. You aren’t going anywhere.”

Wingman handed Ian an icepack. “ Here I think that you might need this for your eye.”

Ian waved the icepack away. “ Its just a little swelling.”  Ian said touching his eye.

“ I can’t believe that she hit you in the eye.” Wingman grinned. “ She is a feisty little thing isn’t she? I can’t believe that you actually let her hit you. You the man who I’ve see take on 5 guys at once got hit by a blonde bombshell.”

“ She was angry. Hell I don’t blame her.” Ian muttered. The truth was he thought that he deserved it. He had no right to keep her here. It wasn’t really a matter of National Security although that was how he has explained it to Brooke. He knew it deep down, but he wasn’t ready to end things between them yet. He wanted to spend more time with her. So he had lied.

Ace handed Brooke an icepack for her hand. She sat on the sofa next to Ace holding the cold icepack on her swollen knuckles. Ace grinned at Brooke.

“ You are really lucky, you could have really hurt yourself.”

“Yes, well, Ian’s head is hard.”

Jackal kept his laugh to himself. Ian indeed was a stubborn son of a bitch when he got something in his head. If Ian said that Brooke wasn’t going home then she wasn’t.

Jackal sat down next to Brooke on the other side of the sofa. “ That was one nice left hook that you gave Mac.”

“ Well, I’ve been taking kickboxing. My daughter thought that it would be a great thing for us to do together.”

“ Your daughter?” Jackal looked at Brooke.

“ Yes, Bridget. She’s 19 and I have a son Rick who is 20.”

Ace looked at Brooke. “ Just how old are you?”

“ Never ask a lady how old she is. But believe me, I’m old enough to have two grown children. How about you?”

Ace shook his head. “No children but a bitch of an ex-wife.”

Wingman stood. “ I just got married.”

Jackal took out a photo from his back pocked. “ My wife just had twin girls.”

Brooke took the picture and smiled. “ They are beautiful.”

Ian was silent as he studied his friends. My god, he thought, she was charming the hell out of them. Truthfully, it warmed his heart on a level to see how she was with them.

“ Your wives, they don’t mind you having these missions.”

“ Mine did.” Ace said. “ She couldn’t take me being gone all the time at a drop of the hat. It put a strain on my marriage.”

“ Daphne, that is my wife, she and I lived together for two years. I just wanted her to know what she was getting into. Although I know that she doesn’t jump for joy everything I leave, she understands that my job keeps her and many people in our country safe.”

Jackal nodded. “ My wife feels the same way. But don’t get me wrong, it is hard.”

Brooke’s eyes met Ian’s silent ones from across the room. Could she deal with that? He was leaving on a mission. “ This mission that Ian talked about. It has something to deal with the SEALS and it is dangerous, isn’t it.”

None of the men opened their mouths yet their eyes met each other and Brooke knew why they were here. She also knew that whatever mission they were on would put Ian’s life in danger.

Chapter 13

The men had been working for the last couple of hours on their mission. Although Brooke and Ian’s fight had been a comical scene, they were now back at work.

“So, how long to you think estimate will take to get the compound?” Jackal asked Ian.

“ If you take out the guards, here, here and here. You’ll have only a 15 minute window from rendezvous point.”

Ace shook his head. “ That isn’t going to work. We will need more time.”

“We won’t have it. Once we go into that compound we have 15 minutes to get in and out and blow the place up. We need to destroy all evidence.”

“ Fifteen minutes. No more gentlemen.” Ian said.

“We are in load of shit. Gents.”

Ian looked around the room. Each of the men here, he’d give his life for. They had all had helped him out of jams when things had gotten tough. Ace had been the once to come and talk to him when all the mess with Sasha had gone down. They hadn’t laughed at his desire to become a writer. Hell, he surmised that they had probably bought some of his books. Yes the knowledge that this may be the mission to take their lives was chilling. It was especially chilling for Ian. He had given up this life. Only once in a while did he go on a training opt or two to keep him knowledge and in shape. The entire killing that a man does has a tendency to catch up with him. He had chosen a solitary life with his life with his writing in turn he had gotten a peace that he desperately needed. All of the men were silent. It was almost impossible. In that moment, they all realized that there mission was truly might be a suicide mission.

Ian walked back toward his cabin, it was late and the woods were quiet. This was truly his favorite time of the year. A time when he could commune with nature that it was just himself. Tonight’s overlay of the mission hit home. He knew that there was big chance that he may never walk through the woods again. He may die. Unlike the others, he didn’t have anyone other than a few collections of friends and his editor who would miss him if he died. Dealing with ones own mortality had a way of effecting men, yet he was not uncomfortable with facing his death. He had faced it before and truly understood that he may not come back. If he were to die from this mission there would be no wife. There would be no children. He wasn’t sure how the others dealt with saying a possible goodbye to the ones they loved. Once, he had to worry about that, he had ended his career with the S.E.A.L.S in order to allay her fears. He could only image how Jackal and Wingman and even Ace’s ex-wife dealt with the knowledge of knowing that the men they loved might not come home. Ian stopped and watched as the snow fell all around him. He had experienced so many things during his time here on the earth. He had fought for his country. He had found love and peace in his writing and artistry. Yet there was a yearning that he had never had before. He wasn’t ready for it to be over. He needed more time to write and paint. He wanted to hike in the wood with Sam. He wanted to go swim in the freezing cold water. He wanted to finish his book. He wanted to see Brooke’s smile as the sun came up. Ian stopped dead in his track. Where in the hell had that thought come from?  Little over than a week ago he didn’t even know that she existed but now he wanted to see her smile? It was confusing and frustrating to him but it was true non-the less. Even after the right hook she had gives him that day, he still was attracted to her. Today, he had been rude and uncompromising but he didn’t have a choice. Brooke had to stay plain and simple but he wouldn’t really let himself think about the reasons behind him not wanting to let her go home.

Ian opened the door to his cabin to find it dark expect for the lamp burning next his chair in the living room. “ Brooke?” Ian called her name a few times but surmised that she was still pissed with him or asleep. He opened the door to his bedroom and found it empty. Ian wondered if she were down stair when he headed to his bathroom and opened the door. A naked wet Brooke was stepping out of the shower. Brooke grabbed a towel but not before Ian got an eye full of tanned naked wet skin.

“ Can’t you knock?” Brooke stated at as she secured the towel tightly around her.

“ I was looking for you, I didn’t know you were in the shower.”

“ Right.” Brooke said disbelieving. “ I suppose that you didn’t hear the shower running.”

“ Actually, I didn’t. But then again, I was caught up in my thoughts. Now that I see that you are all right. I’ll leave.”

Brooke turned quickly blocking the exit into the bedroom. “ You aren’t getting away that fast. I’ve been waiting almost all night to talk to you.”

“ There isn’t anything to talk about? Besides I thought that you liked to do your talking through your fist.”

Brooke squinted. “ You deserve that punch and if you…”

“ I agree with you.” Ian said as he cut Brooke off.

“ You are agreeing with me?”

Ian who wasn’t but a few inches away from Brooke stared down into the deep golden pools of her eyes. “ You had every right to get mad at me. I’d be pissed as hell if someone told I couldn’t leave.”

“ So you changed you mind?”  Brooke asked hopefully. She looked into the blue-gray depths of his eyes. For a moment Brooke thought that he might have changed his mind.

“ No. You are staying. Now…” Ian bent down so quickly and picked Brooke up and moved her out of the way. “ I think that we can finish this conversation when you are dressed unless you plan on doing in partly naked.” Brooke looked down where her towel was slipping.

“ Of course, you’d notice that.”

“ I notice a lot of things Brooke.”

Ian closed the bathroom behind him. God, she certainly was a beautiful woman. But it was more than just that. There was more than beauty, it was her fire. Ian touched his eye. She had hit him and it still stung but he couldn’t blame her, but he couldn’t endanger her either. He kept telling himself that he was keeping her in his home to keep her safe. They didn’t have the time to take her back to his home but deep down he knew that it was a lie.

Ian stripped out of his shirt and took his shoes and socks off. He threw another log into the fire and replaced the fireplace screen when he heard the door open from his bathroom. Brooke stood in the doorway wearing a while silk robe. Her hair was still wet and it cascaded well past her shoulders. Brooke could feel Ian’s eyes moved slowly down her body until they rested on her delicately painted toenails.

“ You are going to catch a cold in that flimsy robe and no slippers.”

“ This coming from a man who has no shirt on.” She noticed his muscular hairless chest with his bulging biceps.”

“ I sleep in the buck naked and I’m used to this weather. You, however aren’t.”

At the mention of his sleeping naked, Brooke got a picture in her mind about how fantastic he’d look. As much as she was angry with him and had decided that she didn’t like him, it still didn’t change the fact that she found him attractive. The man was sexy plain and simple. She hated him for that.

“ What makes you think that?”

“ It’s February and you have a tan. Besides that company that you work for is based in L.A.”

“ You’ve been checking up on me?” Brooke saw the answer in his eyes. “ My god. How in the hell do you think that you are? Who are you? You say that you are a writer but you aren’t.”

“ I am.” Ian sat down on his sofa.

“ I want to know what is going on. All I know is that you were once Navy S.E.A.L and now you are a writer.”

Ian sighed. She was right, she didn’t understand what was going on and she had a right to know. “ When I was younger I also wanted to do something to protect the country. It may have something to do with the fact that I’m from Scottish decent and I come from a long line of men who protect their land and families. So I always had a dream of becoming a S.E.A.L.”

“Not a writer.”

“I did some writing in high school and I always had a love of literature but I spent a great deal of time playing sports.”

“ A jock huh?” Brooke said with a laugh.

“ I was athletic.”

“ And being a writer didn’t fit into your image.”

“ It isn’t that. I really didn’t think of writing as something that I could do full time. I concentrated on getting into the S.E.A.L.S. It was my dream for such long time.”

“ It wasn’t what you expected?” Brooke heard something in Ian’s voice.

“No. Not to say that I didn’t love it. I did. I enjoyed the danger and the rush that dropping off to some obscure part of the country.”

“ And getting the bad guys.”

Ian was quiet for a moment before he turned to look at Brooke. The firelight from the fire rained colors of red and orange on his face. “ That was the thing. Sometimes the “bad guys” aren’t that. They are people even women and children at times. There are moments in which they are willing to die for the cause that they believe in. Yet even in those times I knew what I was doing was for something. I was keeping people like my mother and father safe.” Ian nodded for a moment. “ I loved working with the guys. We were a unit. We trusted and counted on one another, we never left a man behind.” Ian stood up and went toward his bookcase. He picked up a worn box and opened it. There he glanced at a photo of Ace, Jackal and a few men. He gave the picture of Brooke.

Brooke studied the photo. “ These are your friends.”

Ian sat down next to Brooke again. “ You didn’t meet Hunter, he died.” Brooke heard the pain in voice.

“ Did he…did he die in one of your missions?”

“Yes. Hunter died in my arms. It was the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to live through.”

“ My god…Ian.” Tears formed in Brooke’s eyes. “ I’m so sorry.” Ian saw the tears in Brooke’s eyes. A tear fell from her right eye and rolled down her cheek.  Ian without thinking caught the tear on his finger. Brooke felt the electricity between them, as did Ian. She cried for him. He had never expected that. No one had ever cried for him expect his mother. Brooke turned away for a moment; she was embarrassed to find herself crying in front of him. “ I can’t image how you lived through something like that.”

“ It was hard but it was part of the business that I was in. We all knew the chances that we were taking. It was worth it, just like this mission now is worth it.”

Brooke pushed some wet hair behind her ear. “ The mission you have now. It is important isn’t it?”

“Yes. I retired from the S.E.A.L.S years ago. From time to time I help out with what is called training opts but I haven’t been on a mission in years.”

“ Then why are you on a mission now?”

“Because of this man here, his name is the G-man. He is missing.”

“ You are looking for him?”

“ We know where he is. He is holding some vital information but he is held hostage. We are going to rescue him.”

Ian’s words sunk into Brooke’s brain. “ But I thought that you retired.”

“ They need my help.”

“ The way that you are talking. There is more to it than what you are telling me, isn’t there?” Ian was silent. “ No, don’t do this. Don’t get into one of your silences. Please tell me.”

Ian didn’t want to unload on Brooke. He had no right especially after the way that he had treated her earlier that day but he couldn’t help himself. Maybe it was the way that she asked him with her hand on her naked shoulder or maybe it was the worry in her beautiful eyes but it got to him. “ The mission is a tough one. We are working to find a good rode map for this mess but there is a chance that we may not….that I may not come back from this mission.”

Dread hit Brooke. “ You may not come back. Ian don’t tell me that you might die.” Brooke waited for him to assure her but he didn’t assure her of anything. The reality of the situation hit Brooke. “ You think that you might die?”

Ian nodded. “ There might be a chance.”

“ No! You can’t go.”

Ian stood quickly seeing the distress in Brooke’s face. He hadn’t expected to see that. He wasn’t sure what to say. “ Brooke.”

“ You can’t go if that means that you might die.”

Ian didn’t know what to do to calm her. He saw the tears that fell. Tears for him. At that moment, Ian’s heart melted. She cried for him. Without thinking, Ian pulled Brooke into his arms. He held her next to him so close that he could feel the shaking of her body. He cupped her face in his hands. “ Don’t cry. Don’t cry.” He used his thumbs to wipe the tears from her eyes. Ian tried to reassure her. “ Listen. Don’t do this. You are mad at me remember?”

“ What?” Brooke licked her lips.

“This morning. You wanted to kick my ass, don’t you remember?”

“ I know that you can be a big asshole. And you are rude.”

“ Don’t forget condescending.”

“ I haven’t forgotten that.”

“And remember how I was going to let you drown in the rain.”

“ But you didn’t. You let me in. I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Brooke touched his face of the side of his cheek. The stubble from his not shaving that day tingled against her fingers.

Ian caught Brooke’s finger pulling them away from his face.” I have to go Brooke. G-man needs me. This is a friend of mine, someone who would be willing come and try to save me if the roles were reversed.”

Brooke didn’t know what to say, she still didn’t like the idea of him going off to be a part of a mission that h might not come home from. Brooke pulled away and walked over toward the bed. She sat down on the bed. “ I guess you think that I’m pretty stupid. Crying and everything.”

“ No. I don’t think that you are stupid. It’s been a while since I had someone who even gave a damn about me. I’ve spent so much time alone it is hard for me to deal with people.”

“ Yet you are willing to risk your life for your friend. Either he is an incredible man or you are.” Ian was surprised by Brooke’s comment. More and more she was becoming an enigma especially since he was starting to care about what she thought and felt. He couldn’t remember the last time that he had care about what people thought. Sure, he liked the Jennings; they were hard working people but what they thought of him he had never given a thought. His S.E.A.L. buddies understood that he liked his solitude so they didn’t visit much but even if they complained about him not speaking much, he didn’t care what he thought, but Brooke was different.

“ I’m not doing anything special. I’m just doing what all S.E.A.L.S do; we never leave a man behind. I’m doing my job.”

“But I thought that writing was your job. Not this.”

“ Its in the blood. You never forget it or the code.”

“ Promise me that you’ll be careful. That you won’t do anything foolish or anything to tick someone else off. ”

“ Are you kidding, I’m too rude to die.” At the mention of his death, Brooke looked distressed again. Ian knelt down near Brooke. “ Hey, don’t get soft on me. Remember that you gave me this left hook this morning.”

“ You were being an ass.”

“ Maybe”

“Who is going to take Sam, is something happens to you?”

“I’ve already made arrangements.”

“ You’ll be careful, won’t you?”

“ I always am.”

Brooke traced the small swelling near his eye with his finger. “ You let me hit you didn’t you?”

“ Are you kidding lady?”

Brooke bit her lip and started laugh. “ I have a name remember?”

“ I haven’t forgotten.” He said huskily. Ian cupped Brooke’s head gently and pulled her head down until his lips were close to hers. “Brooke…”  His mouth found hers. With infinite care his changed the kiss from one of gentle wonder when her mouth slowly opened up underneath his. He slipped his tongue inside of her mouth. Brooke opened her mouth wider as his tongue explored the crevious of her mouth. Ian pulled his head away from Brooke’s. He gently traced Brooke’s swollen lips. Tear spilled from her eyes.

“ Hold me.”

Ian held Brooke tightly to him. He cradled her head and closed his eyes. Why did this have to happen now? After all these years. For the first time, he was allowing himself to trust in a woman again just at the time in which he would have to leave her.

He could be a bastard when he wanted him to and he was a bastard to her.

Brooke found Ian by the front door bringing Sam in from his nightly walk. Ian looked up at her. “ The snow finally stopped.”

“ It did?”

“ Yes.” Ian took his coat off. “ I’m sorry that we got interrupted earlier but you know Sam is when he doesn’t get his nightly walk.”

“ It’s okay. My hair needed to dry.” Brooke picked up a strand. “ See, it’s dry.” Ian had noticed for her hair looked like capped sunshine. “ Are you going back to the bunker to work?”

Ian took off his jacket. “ In an hour. I’m going to take a combat nap or maybe I’ll write.”

“What’s a combat nap?”

“It’s a nap in which you sleep hard for about twenty minutes but not too hard to be alert.”

“ Why don’t you just sleep the night away? With you leaving, you’ll need your rest.”

Ian stretched. “ I’ve got to get used to working with little sleep. The last thing that I can afford to do is to sleep on the job that I’m about to take.”

Brooke’s heart jumped at the mention of his job, his mission. “When are you leaving?”

“Tomorrow.”

“ But that is too soon.”

“ It isn’t soon enough not if that means that G-man pays with his life.”

“ I didn’t mean… I guess that I’m selfish. I guess that I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Brooke stammered.

Ian’s face softened as he took her hand rubbing her knuckles with his thumb.“ You are not being selfish, you are being caring” He paused for a moment as if what he were about to say was hard for him. “ I’m sorry about the way that I treated you this morning. I shouldn’t have been so gruff with you. I guess that I was jealous of seeing you with Ace.”

“ Believe me, Ace isn’t my type.”

“ What is your type?”

Brooke bit her lip. “ I’m not sure.  I used to think that I wanted someone tall, dark with plenty of charisma. He’d be my prince charming and sweep me off my feet.”

“But that isn’t your type anymore?”

“Maybe not. Maybe I don’t need a prince anymore.” Brooke was thoughtful for a moment. “There are no fairytales in life.” She looked up at Ian. “ Maybe I want something real. Someone to be a real man with flaws because he is just that, a real man and not some made up hero to come and save me.” Brooke smiled. “ I used to dream that there would be this man, someone so powerful, sexy and totally committed to me. Just the sound of his name would inspire fear in others and he’d be head over hells in love with me.  He’d be dark and maybe have Italian accent something like that.”

“ You don’t dream about that anymore?”

“ No, that is a fairytale. Fiction, something made up.”

“Sounds like a character you’d find in the Godfather. I suppose that he’d have mafia ties too?”

Brooke thought for a moment. “ Well, that would be taking it too far.” She laughed and suddenly as started, it died. “ I don’t want that anymore. Maybe I like men who mean what they say even if it isn’t always in a pretty package. Someone who is real. Who may not like getting up early morning but isn’t afariad of hard work. Someone who can handle himself but isn’t afraid of being alone.” Brooke trailed her fingers across Ian’s jaw. “ Maybe I like the type of man who is willing to put themselves on the line for a friend because he realizes that friendship is as important as family.”

Ian’s caught Brooke’s fingers and gently kissed them. “ Be careful. Don’t get me confused with the idea of a knight in shinning armor.  I can still be a rude bastard.”

“ I know. I think for the first time I know who you really are. I know that you are rude at times and a pain in the ass most the time but there is more to you. There is a man who is an artist. A man who writes for a living instead of destroying things.” Brooke stepped closer to Ian. “ The one that I’ve been fighting an attraction for even when he was being a jerk.”

Ian’s eyes darkened with passion. Brooke’s hand lay hotly against his chest. “ Do you know what you are saying?”

Brooke nodded. She wondered if he would give into his feeling or push her away. “ I know what I’m doing.”

“ God, help you if you are teasing me.” Ian’s said with a husky voice. At the mere touch of her hand on his chest he had felt his penis which had already been at half mass rise.

“ I’d never do that.”

“ You had better not.” Ian said with a growl before his lips descended onto hers. The kiss was all fire and heat as his hands cupped her silk clad bottom brining her thighs close to his to allow her legs to cup his aching shaft. He groaned against her lips when they rubbed against each other. Brooke’s mouth opened as their tongues mated together in a kaleidoscope of hot breaths and sighs. Ian’s mouth trailed down Brooke’s throat while Brooke threw her head back and a cloud of hair was mussed in the kiss. Brooke’s mouth hung open as she bit her lips and cried out as Ian’s hands hoisted her up so she could wrap her legs around his waist. Ian’s hand cupped her aching breast. “ I want you. I want you right here, right now.” His finger rubbed her nipple when the front door opened.

“ Mac  I got an idea…” Ace stopped as he looked at Brooke and Ian. He grinned. “ I’ll come back later.” Ace turned to walk back out of the door.

“ No!” Brooke unwrapped her legs from around Ian’s waist and slid to the floor. “ You didn’t…I mean.” Brooke looked at Ian while she used her fingers to comb through her hair. “ I’ll let you too discuss your mission.” Brooke turned and headed toward the bedroom. Ian’s groaned and closed his eyes.

“ Look man, I’m sorry. The last thing that I thought I’d find was you too going at it. You were barely speaking to her earlier and she hit you. Listen I’ll get going.”

“ No. You weren’t really interrupting anything. We just got caught up in the moment, that’s all.”

Ace grinned. “ It looked like you two were ready to fuck right here.”

Ian looked annoyed. “ Drop it.”

“ Come one Ian. I’m happy for you. After Sasha, I never thought that I’d see you look at another woman like the way that you look at Brooke.”

“ I don’t look at Brooke anyway.”

“ Ian. I know sexual heat and although you’ve got it, there is more to it. Than just sex.”

“ There isn’t even sex. I’m not sleeping with her.”

“ But you do care for her.”

“ I don’t….” Ian stopped. Hell, who was he kidding? Ace was correct, he did care for Brooke. “ What I do or don’t feel for Brooke doesn’t matter at the moment. Now, you had something to tell me so spit it out.”

Brooke stood on the other side of the bedroom door trying her best to catch her breath. The kiss she had shared with him was explosive and madding at the same time. Brooke looked down at her hands, they were shaking. God, when was the last time that a kiss had effected her like this. Brooke headed to the bathroom to look at the full length mirror. What she saw there only confirmed her suspicions. Her eyes were glazed with passion. Her hair mussed around down past her shoulders.  Her lips swollen with his kisses. Her nipples, hard as pebbles against the confines of her robe. The wetness along with the ache between her legs throbbing with desire aching without the release. She wasn’t sure why she was giving into the temptation of Ian but she has been more than willing to allow him to take her right then and there. Maybe this is where the attraction had been leading too from the start or maybe it was because Ian was leaving and she may never see him again. She didn’t want to think about that. Brooke ran some water in the basin and splashed cold water on her face. He was leaving the next day and there was a chance that he might die. That scared Brooke more than anything ever had before.

Ian headed toward his bedroom and stood at the sight of Brooke sleeping in his bed. After tonight, there was something formed between them. With her tears and her fears, she had touched a part of Ian that she had thought to be long dead. Damn, he really knew how to fuck things up. He was leaving her. He wanted her. He didn’t want to leave without being able to have her one time but he wasn’t sure if he could do that, have her just once and leave. Besides,  he needed to have his attention fully focused on his mission. He owed that to others. He owed that to himself. Right now, three other men were lying in their beds. Ace had bunked upstairs while Wingman was taking a nap in the bunker, which had it own miniature bed. They had discussed Ace’s suggestions and found it workable. Time was coming closer to the mission as well as a nervousness that Ian wasn’t used to. Ian had called his editor and lawyer as well as e-mailed instructions if Ian didn’t come back. Jackal, who didn’t sleep well, was still working. Ian would be back to work soon but for now, he needed a moment of peace. But now he could see that peace that he wanted would be ruined. Just looking at her drove him insane. He longed to take off his clothes and slid inside of her beautiful body.  But he knew that he couldn’t so he did the second best thing that he could do, he decided to capture her image in paint. He went to his workroom and got his easel which is quickly set up in his bedroom.  He wanted to catch her in her absolute beauty naked beauty but he knew that it would be wrong to take her nightgown off of her without of her permission. God, it would be so easy for him to come to her in the mist of her sleep and taste her lips. It would take nothing for him to use his hands and mouth to bring her to climax. He’d just make do with her in her silk nightgown. Ian gently peeled the rest of the sheet away from her body. Brooke lay on her back with one leg curled under another causing the silk nightgown t to ride up her stain-tanned thighs. The empress waist cut nightgown  cupped her full breast, the chill of the room had an impressive effect on her nipples. He watched to absolute desire as he studied how they hardened. As if she knew that he watched her in his sleep. She murmured softly moving her head toward the side.  Desire coursed through his body as he studied her exquisite face, the slope of her hair, the soft column of her neck,  the golden fan of her hair that spread across his sheets. She was naturally beautiful as well as erotic. He studied her and began sketching her in her rest. Time went by as her beautiful image was captures first in charcoal and then on canvas under the administration of his oil paints.

Love Story Chapter 14

Ian studied the canvas in front of him; he had spent the last couple of hours capturing her image forever. He should have spent the last couple of hours resting but instead he couldn’t think of a better way of spending his last night here.  He couldn’t helped to be amazed at how soundly she slept. It was if she had no worries in the whole world, yet he knew that he did. Sometimes when she thought that he didn’t see it, he had seen the pain in her eyes. After all it was the reason that she had come out here, to think about whatever it was that had brought her pain.  He recognized pain; for he had carried him pain with him such a long time. Pain of being betrayal by a woman, by having the woman he loved sleep with another man. He tried not to think about it the bitterness that had replaced his love. He didn’t love Sasha anymore but that didn’t make the sting of what she had done lessen. He had given up the job he loved to ease her worry but she had expected more.  In the end, she betrayed him. And he had shut his heart off to every thing and every woman since that. But, he as much as he thought that he had shut himself off; he knew that Brooke had touched a part of him that he had thought to be long dead. He couldn’t explain it. On the outside she seemed to be the one thing that he hated, rich, beautiful and useless but she wasn’t. She was funny, kind and more importantly than having outward beauty, she had inner beauty. He watched the way she played with Sam; saw how she had taken delight in making something simple as cookies. He also liked the fact that she didn’t back down and the way that she didn’t take any of his shit. Or, maybe it was the way that she had touched his artwork with her fingers as if they were a precious thing way before she knew that they were his. She touched something inside of him.  He fingered her image on the canvas. She moved him.

Ian took the canvas into his drying out room. Where he often placed his canvas to dry. He wasn’t surprised that Brooke hadn’t stumbled upon this room since the door was basically hidden to the naked eye. Originally, he had kept this room for a couple of weapons but now he used it for his paintings. He hoped that he would have a chance to fill the room with painting of her. Ian stopped at that thought. What was he thinking? Even if the mission got off without a hitch, he couldn’t keep her. She had a life. A career and a family. Ian closed the door and head back up stairs to make phone call.

“Hello?”

“ Mark.”

“ Mac?” Ian heard the bedclothes rustle on the other side of the phone. “ Is that you?”

“ Yeah. I need a favor.”

“ Sure, anything.”

“ I need you to bring in a chopper down to my home.”

“ The one in the Colorado?”

“ Yeah. There had been a great deal of snow falling but it cleared up and visibility is much improved.”

“ Alright. Where do you need to go?”

“ It isn’t for me, I’ll be gone. But I need you to take a friend of mind to the airport. I’ll make the arrangements for her to take a flight back home. The roads aren’t passable here.”

“ Did I hear you right? Did you say her?”

Ian cursed. “ What is going on? Did everyone think that I turned gay or something?”

“No. But you haven’t ever seen you with female company. You are always alone.”

“ Listen Mark. I don’t have much time here. This is an important favor. I need you to make sure that you pick Brooke up and take her to the airport. With the heavy snowfall I don’t want to leave her alone here in this element. I want to make sure that she is safe.”

“ Mac, sure, whatever you want.”

“ Just promise me that you’ll take good care of her. She’s….she’s special.” Ian hung up the phone. He wouldn’t abandon Brooke. He would at least see that she got home safely.

Brooke lay amid the covers of Ian’s large comfortable bed. Sunlight cascaded through the window causing a blinding light against the snow on the ground. If it hadn’t been for the seriousness of the conversation with Ian last night, she would have found the picture outside beautiful. Wasn’t it funny that the moment the weather let up, he’d have to leave. Leave for a mission that he might not come home from. The thought of him being hurt or even killed filled her with a dread that she couldn’t fathom. She hadn’t known him long but there was something about him that touched her. He was honest, hard working and although there were times they were gruff, there was a gentleness at him sometimes that touched her. Ian was true to himself. He didn’t pretend that he was something he wasn’t. He knew what he was and made no excuses for it. Nor was the type to cater to others if he thought that they might be wrong. Then there was a part of him, the artist that saw the beauty in something as simple a Native American woman tending to her beauty. He was also loyal. What other than loyalty would cause a man who had given up dangerous missions to go back in order to save a friend who needed his help? The more that she learned about Ian, the more she was surprised to find that there was so much more to him than her original assessment. Who would have thought that the gruff mean tempered man would be a strong, handsome artist who once was a Navy Seal. Brooke sat up slowly rubbing her sleepy eyes. It makes no sense that she lay in the bed. There was little time actually left. . There was something that she smelled in the air. It smelled like paint. Brooke shook her head, she must be mistaken. Slipping out of the bed and wrapped a robe around her she padded toward the bathroom. Standing in front of the full length mirror, she splash cold water on her face. She had to get herself together she didn’t want him to see the apprehension on her face. “ Oh, Brooke you are in a mess.” She said to herself. She cared for him. Maybe because there was little time left that she was willing to admit that she cared for him. He was leaving today. He was leaving and maybe never coming back. Tears filled her eyes. She cared for him. She wanted more time with him.

“ God, please. Don’t let anything happen to Ian.”

Ian wiped his tired eyes. He was exhausted. He hadn’t slept all night. He had painted Brooke then got the rest of his affairs in order. He had allowed himself the luxury of laying down next to Brooke for a half of an hour. If he S.E.A.L.S mates could have seen him, they would have laughed. God old Mac as they called him, the great Scotsman who was calm and cool and collected in any situation, laying next to a woman watching her sleep. A man who had swore off women. A man who couldn’t remember the last time that he had taken a woman out for date. Romantic elements had become foreign to him, it now meant hot, sweaty impersonal sex that he had every once in a while. But being with Brooke had done something to him. He had found himself breathing her scent, dying to touch her, wanting to bury his head in her hair to smell the same shampoo that he had used. Somehow on her, it smelled didn’t, fresh and sweet. Ian was tired but it had been a wonderful night. If only things were different. If only he could just have one night. One night to just touch her. One night to let go of the gruff veneer that he had shown her to let her know that he….that he cared for her.

Wingman finished mapping out the last coordinates on the board. All the men had listened heavily as her went over his recon events. With the newest angle from ascension, thanks to Ace, they had a better chance of getting in and out than before. But there was still a huge risk.

“ Mac, I think if you drop the cyanide pellets through the ventilation shaft here and here. It will knock out all three guards.”

“ The cyanide will kill them in a matter of moments.”

“ You had better make sure.” Jackal said. “ I’m going to take the sons of a bitches out here.”

Ian nodded. No one was better sharp shooter than Jackal. “ You got to take them out at 02 hundred. No later.”

“No problem.”

“What about the casing?” Ace asked.

“ We’ll seal it. It should hold.”

“ It's better.”

Ian looked around his bunker and at his friends. Everything was just about finished.  Ian was about to say something when there was a knock at the door. Puzzled he looked at his friends. He opened the bunker door to find Brooke standing in the snow wearing a black parka with a matching black hat and a pair of black denim jeans with camel colored Timberland boots.

“ Hi” Ian though that that she looked lovely. With the white snow all around, the cold causing her cheeks to become rosy along with the sparkle in her tawny colored eyes, she looked like a young girl.  “ I know that you are busy and all. Planning your mission, but you all gotta eat. I cooked all this breakfast and I bought it to you.” Brooke stood in the cold feeling somewhat nervous. Last night they had connected. Something, a bond was created. She wondered if he would ignore it like he had done in the past by sending her and her gesture away or would he accept it.

“ How did you know where we were?”

Ace told me yesterday. He said that if there were an emergency or something that I should know. You don’t mind do you?”

Ian could feel the others coming toward the doorway. “ Come one Mac. She cooked for us. I for one want a home cooked meal.” Ace said with a wink at Brooke. “ Besides, not that I don’t love you all, but I’d love to take a break and look at this pretty lady.”

“ Yeah. Mac. I for one would love a home cook meal.” Wingman said with a grin. Brooke noticed how good looking he was especially when he smiled. He pushed past Ian and took Brooke hand to help her step up inside of the bunker. “ Come on in I for one am starving.”  He took the huge basket and the large thermo jug out of Brooke’s hands.

Brooke looked around the bunker wiping her cold hands on her jean. She was surprised to find that it looked like an operational combat unit like the ones she saw on TV. There were schematic maps on a white board with masculine handwriting. There were three running laptops amid the papers and folders on a large black table where chairs were pulled up to. On the wall, there were these things that looked to be green bricks, something that looked to be black cords, vest, wetsuits, shackles, and all shorts of shinny weapons along and other materials. Her eyes found Ian, whom she just noticed had cut his hair short. It only made him took more handsome and manly in her eyes. They were in the middle of planning their mission and here she was looking at him as if she were a schoolgirl with a huge crush. What was she thinking? He didn’t have time for this and she was only getting in the way. “ This place looks like something out of a movie.” Brooke turned to find Ian standing in front of the open doorway of the bunker. Immediately she thought that she had made another mistake. Maybe he wasn’t ready to acknowledge the connect they had shared. Maybe this was something so secret that he didn’t want her there. Brooke mentally cringed. There she went again of doing without thinking. She had tried to read since she couldn’t keep her mind off of work but that hadn’t helped. In the end she started making breakfast and then somewhere in the middle of it, she realized that she was making large proportions. She had acted, thinking the men would want something to eat. She also wanted to see Ian. To see that he was all right. It just wasn’t the same in the cabin without him.“ I can just drop the food off; there are plates and everything. I can see that you are busy.”

Brooke turned to head to the door.

“ Brooke. Wait.” Ian said. Brooke turned around to look at Ian. “ You can join us. It is the least that we can offer you. After all, you cooked.”  Ian pulled out a chair for Brooke. “ Ace, help me clear off the table.” Brooke ‘s breathe caught in her throat. This was different for her. Ian was treating her with kindness. There had been no cynical comment, gruff statement or looks of contempt. Instead there had been something in his eyes that looked like acceptance. The queasy feeling that had been inside of her stomach disappeared. He accepted her. Ian finally thought that she was good enough. Not a spoiled princess or a brat. Brooke slid in the chair. She wasn’t sure when it happened but somewhere in all the anger, confusion and the tumultuous of their relationship his opinion had started to matter to her.

Wingman opened the tubberwear bowl and inhaled the scents. “ Good god, this looks like my grandmother’s fried potatoes. Where did you learn to make home fries and grits?”

Brooke shook her head. “ I had a grandmother too. At the Logan house hold we all had to pitch in and cook. So, I learned how to cook large meals.” Ace started to load the paper plates down with hot eggs, bacon and homemade biscuits.

“ How many in your family?”

“There was seven of us including me. My mom, my brother Storm, sisters Donna and Katie and then grandma Logan.”  Brooke paused for a second. “ My dad cut out pretty.”  Ian instantly noticed the sadness that touched Brooke’s voice. Without thought, he placed his hand on her back and rubbed it gently.

“ That’s okay. Sometimes you make up your own family. I didn’t even meet the man who is my biological father.” Jackal said while pouring the orange juice and then cups of coffee. “ I think that is why I try so hard to be a good father to the twins.”

“ Your daughters? They are newly born aren’t they?”

“ Yes. I never thought that I’d be as happy as I was the moment that I held them in my arms.”

“ I was there, let me tell you. There is nothing like seeing a man who could snap someone’s neck in a moment of seconds about to bawl while holding his daughters.” Wingman said.

“ Hey, just wait until Daphne and you have kids. We will see how well you deal with the whole thing.”

“ You have to admit Jackal. It was funny. I mean, you can slip in and out of compounds, take down the baddiest of the baddies but when your wife went into labor you were about to fall apart. I thought the nurses were going to throw him out of the hospital because of the racket that he caused.”

Ian laughed to himself. “ I’m sorry that I missed it.”

“ What? I didn’t send you the video tape?” Wingman said as he but some butter on a biscuit. “ I’ll have to send it to you Mac.”

“ Well, I forgive you for missing it. After all you sent us that painting that Susan liked as a gift. Hell man it had to be worth…”  Jackal stopped when he received a S.E.A.L hand signal to stop from Ian. Brooke who had been looking for napkins didn’t see the signal and even if she did, she wouldn’t have understood but she did notice the silence. “ It worth a great deal to her.” Jackal continued.

“ It was no big deal. I knew that she liked it. Now, lets get to the food that Brooke cooked before it gets cold.” Ian wanted to change the subject from the painting the he had sent Jackal’s wife.

Ian sipped his coffee as he watched Brooke signal handedly charm the pants off of his S.E.A.L buddies. And as much as he hated to admit it to himself he loved the way she did. There wasn’t any hidden agendas, she just took them in with her smile and held them. Brooke talked about her childhood and her adventures with her brother and sisters. Ian couldn’t help to be mesmerized like everyone else. Wingman had come from a large family as well as Ace. They especially found Brooke’s stories to be amusing. But it wasn’t just the stories that held Ian’s attention but it was the joy that Brooke had in talking about her childhood. It was the way that she calmed the men, they had to be carrying the usual tension that happened when they were ready for a mission except they were looking for their friend. Somehow in the middle of this mess, there they were eating a fantastic meal watching how Brooke’s eyes lit up at the mention of some off brand trick that her brother and she pulled.

Brooke finished wiping the tears out of eyes from laughter when she noticed Ian staring at her. Brooke stopped laughing and a gentle smile came upon her face before she looked away. She stepped down off the high stool. “ Well, I had better let you get back to planning your mission. This reminded me how my brother’s friends used to come over to play ball and eat dinner or lunch with the family. It was nice.”

“ That’s what they told you.” Ace said putting the dirty dishes inside the basket. “ Nine out of ten, they came over to look at Storm’s pretty blonde sister.”

Brooke gave Ace an astonished look. “ No they didn’t. Most of my brother’s friends were silly acting I didn’t see them as being interested in me.”

“ That is because you aren’t a male. I remember Tyler Jeffries little sister. I certainly didn’t see her as Tyler’s little sister, to me, she was a goddess.”  Ace said. “ I remember the night that I got her to…” Ace stopped. “ Never mind, little lady.”

Brooke shook her head with amusement. “ I can just imagine what you were doing with Tyler’s sister. Well, thanks for enlightenment fells. I’m going to let you all get back to work.” Brooke picked up her coat and put her hat on and picked up the basket.

“Thank you for the breakfast Brooke.” Ace said with the most sincerity. “ We needed a little diversion.”

“ Well, you are more than welcome. It really is insignificant compared to what you all are doing. Risking your lives to save a friend.” There was a look of sadness in her eyes.

“ It is hard to find a friend to support you, let alone be willing to risk everything for them. I don’t think that I have one friend like that. I wish that I did.” Brooke opened the door to the bunker and closed it behind her.

Ace looked at Ian. “ You told her everything?”

“Last night. It was hard on her.”

Wingman nodded. “ Why do you sound surprised? This wasn’t easy on Daphne. I wanted to call her last night but it would only make things harder. I already said my goodbye.”

“ But Daphne is your wife. Brooke and I aren’t in that type of relationship.”

“ She cares about you. Clearly she means something to you as well. ”

“ It doesn’t matter.”

“ The hell that it does.” Ace added. “ We haven’t seen you care about a woman since Shasha.

“ She’s not Sasha.”

“ Well, I’m glad that you can see that because we all can see that. She’s special.”

“ I know. When first met her. She was all wet in that skimpy silk dress and I cursed her. It thought that she was nothing more than this spoiled brat who had to have her ways and had interrupted my life. I was rude and surly. I just wanted her to get the hell out but she couldn’t.”

“ And now how do you feel?”

Ian was silent for a few minutes. “ I don’t want her to leave.”

“ Is that why you told her that she had to stay.”

I thought that it might be best. We don’t have time to drop her off. She isn’t going to stay however. Even though the snowfall has stopped, a great of snow that had blocked the pass.”

“ I never did understand how you could live out here. This happens to you every year.”

“ I like it here. The peace and quiet. The snowfall never bothered me. But Brooke isn’t used to it nor elements.  I can’t leave her here.” Ian pulled on his jacket. “ I’ve made arrangements for her.”

“ What are you going to do?”

“I’m sending Brooke home tonight before we leave.”

Wingman shook his head. “ I never thought that I’d see the day when he would ever allow himself to become emotionally attached to a woman ever again. After all these years, he finally found someone who interests him. Someone who is smart and capable and most importantly not put off by his gruff nature.”

“ I think that she is perfect for him. She’s down to earth and funny. She also cares about him.” Ace stated. “ It becomes more and more clear when I see them together. They also have a lot in common.”

“ How would you know?”

“ I checked her out. I had to make sure that she was someone that we can trust. She’s had her fair share of heartbreaks just like Mac. She comes from a simple family although broken. She loves horses, just like him. I think that they will go wonderful for each other. As long as Mac doesn’t let something stupid like his pride gets in the way.”

“ Pride? Pride about what?”

Ace sighed. “ You know how he is about being lied to. Brooke hasn’t been exactly honest about her background.”

“ What do you mean?”

“ She’s worth millions. She doesn’t work for Forrester Creations, she owns it.

“ That clothing company?”

“ Yes. They are known for their expensive dresses. She is Brooke Logan Forrester.”

“ Brooke Logan Forrester. Why does that name sound familiar to me?” Wingman stated.

“Probably because she been in all sorts of magazines. And she is this lead model for Brooke’s Bedroom.”

“ I’ve heard of that. Susan has bought some lingerie from that company.” Jackal grinned.

“ Talk about sexy.”

Wingman leaned on the table. “ She the model for that. She’s Brooke or Brooke’s bedroom.”

“She’s been all over magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue and others.”  Ace loosened the band on his long hair. “She’s also been all over the tabloids. Let’s just say that she has had some dozes of relationships. She’s been married to two brothers. Ridge and Thorne Forrester.”

“ Wait! I think that I’ve heard about her somewhere. Daphne must have been reading an article or something. Didn’t she had an affair with one brother while married to another?”

“ I don’t know. You know that most tabloids are full of shit. But there were some adds used for her company. Pictures of her in skimpy lingerie along with him. Those pictures looked pretty convincing but who knows. She was married to both of the brothers. I don’t know how much of this shit it true but from what I understand. She has always been in love with this Ridge Forrester since she was in college.” Ace snorted. “ From what I can tell, the man was nothing more than egotistical jerk. A playboy who uses women. Brooke her heart. They were married twice. Both times he left her for the woman who is currently his wife. There were dozens and dozens of articles about them. In most of them, they state how pretty bad she took the whole thing.”

“You aren’t going to tell Mac this are you? After what he’s been through, he may not understand especially the part of being married to one brother and then the other. Even I can see that no matter how strange or weird Brooke’s life may be, see that she cares about Mac. And he cares about her.”

“ I agree. That is why I destroyed the information about her.  Mac didn’t ask so I didn’t supply him with it.”

Jackal shook his head. “ We can’t keep secrets from each other. We don’t do that.”

“ I know but think about the time we have left. We’ve got this mission ahead off us. The last thing that I want is Mac’s dealing with this especially when it I think that Brooke is good for him. For once, Mac has someone to look forward to come home to. I’m not going to ruin that especially when Brooke isn’t trying to hurt him. Instead, she is falling in love with him. I really don’t give a damn about her past. Brooke has a good heart and she is good for him. She has brought him back to life.”

Brooke finished washing the last pot from breakfast and had just finished drying her hands when the front door opened and Ian stepped into the cabin. He paused for a moment to look at her. He would always remember the picture of her standing in his kitchen wearing black pants and a sleeveless tight white sweater while her golden hair cascaded all around her. She smiled when she saw him. “ Thanks for cooking breakfast. That was more than kind of you.”

“ It was nothing. I figured you hadn’t eaten or even slept much.” Brooke sighed. “ You didn’t sleep much last night, did you?”

He wasn’t going to tell her that he had spent most of the night painting her while she slept. “ I had work to do.”

“ How can you work on your book at a time like this?”

“Amazing. You are a Navy S.E.A.L turned a writer. It doesn’t seem like it would go together.”

“Writing helped easing the pain.” Ian took the bowl that Brooke had just finished drying and put it away. “ I wasn’t working on my book.”

“ Sometimes I wish that I something that would make it easier to ease some of the pain of things that occurred in my life. I’m afraid, my work had become my hobby or the thing that I threw myself into it in order to forget whatever the latest drama I was in. It was good for the business but not necessary ease the pain.”

“ That is why you came out here. To ease the pain of your broken marriage.” Ian turned toward Brooke. “ Have you done that? Is your mind at ease?”

Brooke shrugged her shoulders. “ I really don’t know. It is funny because although work has been the thing consuming me the last two months, I never felt the way that I did here.

The stress and the pain just started to vanish. All these years, I’ve never felt as calm as I have here. Maybe it’s the snow or being alone with my thoughts or maybe it is something else….” Brooke trailed off.

“ Brooke…”

“ Yes, Ian.” She said breathlessly.

 “We will be leaving tonight.”

Brooke turned away. “ Oh.. so soon.”

“ I told you yesterday.”

“ I know. I just hoped that….Never mind.”

“ Time is running out. I’ve got to go.” Ian came behind Brooke and turned her around so they could look each other in the eye. “ You’ve got to pack.”

“ Pack? It thought that I was staying.”

“ No. I made certain arrangements to see that you get home. Anything could happen. I’m not sure how long I’m going to be gone. It could be a week or longer. I can’t leave you here. The weather here in Colorado is unpredictable. It could start snowing again and the winter here is rough. I don’t want you here alone. I want to make sure that you are alright.”

“ I can take care of myself. Believe it or not I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time.”

“ I know that you can.”

“ Not bad for a spoiled princess huh?”

Ian smiled and Brooke could see the dimple in his right cheek. “ Not bad at all.”

“ I’m not really you know. Spoiled. Although I’ve had people call me worse.”

“ I know that you aren’t spoiled. I’m sorry that I made an assumption about you.”

Brooke took a step back and stared at Ian for a second. “ Will wonders ever cease?”

“ What?”

“ You apologizing to me. Who would have thought after the first night we spent together that I’d be standing here afraid of the moment that you walk out that door to leave.”

Ian cupped Brooke’s face with his right hand. “ Don’t be afraid. I can take care of myself. I’m sure that everything will turn out already.

Brooke wondered if Ian was telling her the truth or if he were tying to allay her fears.

“ Well, that isn’t going to keep me from worrying about you. So you’ll have the deal with it. You had better take care yourself or you’ll regret it.” Brooke said with bravo as well as tears in her eyes.

“ I have a few regrets.” Ian said softly.

“ About your life.”

“ About a few things in my life and you.”

“ You have regrets about me?”

“ I haven’t always been fair to you. I treated you with hostility.”

“ You didn’t know who I was and you like your privacy.”

“ It wasn’t just about that. At least it was at first but then it was more. Yesterday even after the way that I treated you, you still had enough compassion for me.”

“ You grew on me. I don’t what or how it happened but somewhere in all of this. Getting lost, ending up here and being with you, I haven’t once thought of the problems the last six months of my life has been. Maybe it is a good thing that I was here because it has helped me to realize the importance of really living.”

Ian nodded. “ Facing death does that. It also makes you think of all the things that you may not get a chance to do.”

“ Like what?”

“ Like making love to a woman who I’ve wanted from the first time that I saw her all drenched in silk and banging at my door. I have little time left and all I want to do is spend the night with you. Just one night.”

At his words, Brooke felt her heart race. She wanted him just like he wanted he. He was right, they didn’t have much time.“ Will it be enough? Just one night?” Brooke said breathlessly.

“ It will have to be enough. It is all the time that we have left.” Ian said as she lowered his mouth to capture Brooke’s mouth in a searing kiss.

Love Story Chapter 15

Ian’s mouth covered Brooke’s in an all-consuming kiss. His mouth was gentle yet demanding as he used his thumb to open her mouth wider to receive his probing tongue. Brooke sighed as his hands tangled into his newly cut hair. Ian’s hands skimmed down her toward her butt as he hoisted her body upward and her warm thighs cupped his painful erection that was caught in the tight confines of his jeans. Brooke groaned as she left the evidence of his desire press up against her aching heat. She wanted him inside of her, filling her so she’d never forget him or their time together. Ian’s mouth trailed down her arch of her silky neck and he inhaled her scent. She smelled so damn good. “You smell of sweet roses after a soft rain.” He murmured against her throat as his tongue found the beating pulse of her at the base of her neck. Brooke almost laughed as his tongue sent shivers of pleasure through her body. Who would have ever thought that someone like Ian could say something so poetic like that? Ian’s mouth found her nipple and instantly suckled at her breast through her shirt. Brooke’s back arched against the hard counter of the kitchen as Ian’s mouth played at her breast. The friction from his hard, wet mouth against the texture of her shirt was nothing more than sweet torture. She gripped tightly against the back of his head never wanting his mouth to move away from her aching breast. Ian, sensing how aroused she was, shifted Brooke so his hard thigh was between her legs. He moved his thigh against her while she rode it trying hard to find that relief for the sexual need growing within her. Brooke closed her eyes, his mouths as well as his thighs were easing her pain but she wanted…no she needed more.

“I’m telling you. The best thing is for you to keep this whole thing a secret. I’m sure if she is given a chance, Brooke would tell Mac about her life.” Ace continued packing his bag. “ Hell I can’t blame her for not blurting the entire thing out. It wasn’t like she planned on meeting Mac. It was an accident. Based on the way that he looks at her, it is something that he needs.”

“ I can think about a couple things that he needs.” Wingman said with a grin. “ And if he getting some for her, I’m all for it for more than one reason. His life hadn’t been the best in the relationship department and with the running around that Sasha did. I couldn’t be happier for him. Brooke, regardless of her past is a good woman. I can tell.”

Jaguar shook his head. “ I know but it still remains a fact that she was basically passed around in the same family. You know how Ian feels about honor and shit. He ain’t going to like it.”

“ He likes her and that is all that matters. What Brooke did before she met him doesn’t have anything to do with him. Hell, he isn’t going to open up to her about all the men that he has killed.”

“ That is different.”

“ Is it? A sin is a sin. We’ve all committed sins gentlemen. Brooke’s past life is her business. Besides with everything that we have got going on the entire thing just might not matter.”

“It will matter. We are the best and I’m confident that everything will work out all right for us. WHEN it does, what is going to happen between them. He isn’t going to be kept in the dark for long if he starts dating her. He’ll find out and he’ll be pissed. He is some prideful son-of-a-bitch and you know it.”

“ When was the last time that you saw him smile at a woman? Damn it. She means something to him. You know just like I do. I’m not going to ruin it for him.”

“Me neither.” Chimed in Wingman. “ Mac deserves to be happy. Besides that little white girl is tough enough for him.”  He grinned. “ I for one like her. I don’t care if she fucked the Pope.”

Ian heard Brooke’s cries echoing in his kitchen and it seemed impossible but he thought that his penis just might have grown another inch. He wanted her so badly that in any moment he’d was going to rip open his jeans, pull down her pants and take her. Pulling away from her he tried his best to catch his breath as he watched tried to Brooke recover. Ian gently touched her swollen lips with his index finger. “ No. Not like this.”

Brooke was confused. What was he saying? She knew that it was wrong just to give into her feelings but she didn’t have time to think about it. She wanted him. She needed his hands on her just to taste him if only for one time. Now, he was saying no. “ No.” She said breathily. “ But I thought that you wanted me.”

Ian heard the pain voice and saw it in her eyes. She thought that he was rejecting her. God, didn’t she know how hard it had been for him to stay away from her all this time. She was everything that he had every wanted. He was willing to admit that now. She was beautiful and kind. She was smart and funny and so in creditably sexual. He wanted her more than he had ever wanted any woman and that included Sasha. “ Brooke, I’m not saying no to you.” He gripped her head with the back of his hand and pulled her lips toward his again taking her mouth in a long, hard wet kiss. “ I want you. But not like this.”

Brooke ran a hand through her tousled hair. “ What are you saying?”

“ Just wait.” Ian hurried to the door walking a little funny because of his painful erection.

“ Promise me that you’ll wait.”

“ Ian.”

He opened the door. “ Just wait! Please Brooke.”  He left quickly leaving Brooke confused. What had just happened?

Brooke looked out the window for what must have been the 20th time. Ian had left her over an hour ago and she heard nothing. She knew that he was back at the bunker but it confused her. Why did he tell her how much he wanted her, kissed her and could have had her only to turn her down? It didn’t make sense. Here she was willing to throw caution to the wind. She had never in all her life, no matter what the papers said or what Stephanie suggested, she had never made love to anyone she didn’t love. But here today, she wanted Ian. She was willing to let him make love to her but he had just left it didn’t make any sense at all.

Ian looked at his S.E.A.L mates. “ Are you sure that you are alright with this?”

Ace hid a grin. “ Are you kidding? There isn’t going to be a problem. The only thing I’m going to ask is that we can say good-bye to the little lady.”

Brooke lay curled up on the sofa in deep thought when the front door of the cabin opened. The room became filled with three large Navy S.E.A.L.S. Brooke stood up.

“ Guys is everything alright? Are you hungry? I know that it is well past lunch.” Truthfully she wasn’t hungry although she should have been since it had been hours since breakfast.

Wingman came forward shaking his head. “ No, we aren’t hungry. Although I want to thank you for that wonderful breakfast.” He led down and kissed Brooke on the cheek. She was surprised by that action since he had never done that before. She touched her cheek for a moment before smiling softly.

“ What was that for?”

“ I just wanted to say good- bye little lady.”

“ Good-bye?” Confusion clouded Brooke’s eyes. “ Good-bye?” She looked at Ace and then Jaguar. “ You’ve leaving.”

“ Yes” Ace stated as he too leaned down and kissed Brooke on her cheek.

“ But I thought that it was later tonight…” Brooke stopped talking. It had suddenly painfully for her to talk for where was a lump in her throat.

“ We have to leave now Brooke. I’m sorry.”

Brooke didn’t even know that tears had fallen down her cheeks until Wingman instantly produced a Kleenex for her. Brooke took the Kleenex and tried her best to wipe her tears from her face. Yet the tears still ran down her face. “ I’m sorry. I don’t know what has  gotten into me.” Brooke tired her best to smile through her tears. “ You guys take care of yourself and please take care of Ian. He needs you, you know. He doesn’t always say how he feels but I can tell how much your friendship means to him Ian. Look out for him. If anything happened to him…” Brooke couldn’t continue to speak for her words were lodged in her throat. Ace took a step forward and took her into his arms with a huge hug.

He gently kissed the top of her head like a big brother.

“ It’s alright. We love Mac. We would never let anything happen to him.”

Brooke looked up at him with her golden eyes. “ You have better no. Because if you do. You’ll have me coming after you.” Brooke was surprised by how possessive she sounded. But it was how she felt. From what she had seen, Ian didn’t have anybody to look after him. It wasn’t her place but something inside of her wanted to be the one to take care of him. That deep feeling not only surprised her, it scared her.

“ Hell baby. I’d be scared with you coming after me. I’ve seen your left hook.”

Brooke sat in front of the fire in Ian’s bedroom crying her heart out. She didn’t understand the emotions that had overwhelmed her. He was just a stranger. He didn’t even know her last name but somehow in all of this mess. He had started to matter her. And now he was gone. The mission had called him away and she wasn’t even sure if she would ever see him again. The snow would melt and then she’d find a way to get home. “ He didn’t even say good-bye” He had just left her. He had left her alone. Brooke heard some whining and she found Sam nudging her. She wrapped her arms around the dog and cried as the sun dipped into the mountains. He could have at least have said good-bye to her.

Ian opened the door to his cabin and closed the door gently behind him. He instantly noticed how dark the cabin was. A chill filled him. “ Brooke?” He made his way into his bedroom to find it too dark except for the fire going. What he saw in front of the fire made his old, cold heart ache. Brooke was lying asleep with her arms wrapped around Sam. Her face looked reddish in the reflection of the red firelight and he could clearly see the streaks of the tears on her face. She had been crying? What in the hell had happened to her? Kneeling down next to her, he gently touched her still we cheek. “ Brooke? Honey, it’s time to wake up. Brooke..” He said gently.

Brooke heard someone softly calling her name. Brooke slowly opened her eyes. The dimness of the room caused her to take a few seconds for her eyes to focus on what was in front of her. The image of a man looming over her cleared and she found Ian’s incredibly handsome face looking down at her with total concern. “ Ian?” She said is a scared voice. It had to be a dream. She was still asleep, wasn’t she? “ Ian is that you?”

Ian gave her a strange look. “ Of course it is me.” He said in a mocking tone that she thought that he just might be laughing at her.

Brooke touched the sides of his face with her fingers as if she thought that he just might disappear right before her eyes. “ You really are here aren’t you?” Brooke said as she sat up.

Ian sat next to her. “ Yes, why are you sounding so surprised.”

“ I thought that you had left.”

“ Left? Why would you think… is that why you were crying?”

Brooke looked embarrassed. “The whole thing is silly. I thought.” She blushed. “ I thought that you had left without saying good bye to me.”

Ian shook his head. “ No. They left without me. I told them to leave the other chopper and I’d meet them at the airport to go at 24:00.”

“ You told them to leave? Why?”

Ian touched Brooke’s face gently. “ I think that you know why?”

Brooke’s heart began to race so heart that she felt the beating of her heart throughout her entire body. Ian leaned down and caught Brooke’s mouth with a passionate kiss. Tears slipped down Brooke eyes as she gave herself into the kiss. Her mouth opened under his and her tongue slipped in between his own lips tasting him. Ian groaned against her mouth as he pulled away. “ How could you think that I left you. I asked you to wait for me.”

“ I know. It’s just…”

“ Sh!” Ian pressed his fingers against Brooke’s mouth. “ I don’t want to talk, not now.” Ian took her mouth again. Brooke didn’t want to talk either. All she wanted was him inside of her. Right then. Brooke kissed Ian with all the feeling inside of her soul. She needed him. She took both of her hands and tore open his shirt. Pulling her head away from him she studied his muscular chest in the firelight. She ran her fingers gently across his breastbone down his chest.

“ My god. Do you know how incredibly sexy you are.” Her fingers trailed to a hard nipple and gently touched it. Ian’s whole body became tense with need. He needed to be freed from his jeans now. Brooke saw the power that she had over and took total control. She leaned forward to kiss his chest lightly with her soft lips. Ian’s threw his head back as her kisses covered his chest.  Between kisses Brooke talked to him. “ Where else do you want my mouth.” She said as her mouth came close to his nipple. Ian took her head gently in his hand and placed her mouth on his nipple.

“ Here” he said with a voice strained with need. Her mouth covered his nipple and suckled gently. His hands gripped harder on her hair without his accord. Brooke’s mouth felt so good against his nipple. Her teeth nipped gently causing pain yet her tongue soon soothed the area. She knew what she was doing and what she was doing was driving him insane. Ian pulled Brooke head away from his chest. “ That is enough.”

“ Maybe for you but not for me.” She purred against him. Brooke’s fingers made their way down toward the huge bulge in his jeans. She slowly opened the button fly as if she were reveling a perfectly wrapped present. His hard erect penis surged out of the tight confides of his jeans. Brooke eyes widened as she looked at his huge thick shaft. Ian took her hand and placed it on his penis.  His breath caught in the back of his throat as her hands ran up and down his shaft, to the rim of his head down to the base of his sacs. She was killing him slowly. He was supposed to be the one making love to her not her making him lose totally control. Brooke dipped her head, her tongue licking around the head of his penis. Ian instantly pulled her up. “ Not now. You are going to make me spill.”

Brooke kissed him thrusting her tongue in his waiting mouth. “ You don’t want to come?”

“ No. God, knows that I do but inside of you. It’s all that I’ve thought about.” He pulled Brooke up so that she was standing directly in front of her waiting eyes. Using infinite care, he kneeled down in front of her.  His fingers quickly found the ends of her shirt and pulled it over her head.  Expertly, he unhooked her nylon bra and slowly peeled it off of her. For what seemed like hours he rocked back against his haunches to study her. God, she was perfect. Her breasts were full and luscious. Her nipples erect like  they were were waiting to be placed inside of his mouth. He fingered one nipple slowly as he came toward her. He then placed his mouth over her breast and suckled the full nipple inside of his mouth. Brooke left the wet place between her legs throb as his mouth suckled gently against her breast. Pressing more of breast inside of his mouth, Brooke cried out. Ian trailed his mouth from one full breast to the other, not wanting to neglect her in any way.

“ Ian…please. I need you.” Brooke cried out.

Ian’s magical hands found their way down to the waistline her of her black jeans. He unsnapped the snap and pulled her pants down. Brooke stepped out of the pants wearing only a little scrape of white bikini panties.. “ My god. You are beautiful.” Ian groaned against her as he kissed her between her thighs. Brooke watched as his fingers made their ways toward her panties and gently pulled them down. Brooke stepped out of her panties as quickly as she had stepped out of her pants. Ian brought her panties to his nose and inhaled her fragment scent. “ You smell so good.” Brooke thought that she’d die right there if he didn’t touch her. She bought his fingers toward the damp nest of hair that lay in between her legs. He watched through passionate eyes as his finger combed through the soft nest of blonde hair and parted her nether lips. He found her labia and then the juicy plump nub that he had been looking for. Brooke looked down as his fingers stroked her nub. Fire erupted through her body as his fingers stimulated her to no end. Brooke gasped.

“ You like watching me, don’t you.” He murmured against her flat stomach.

“ Of god, yes.” She panted. The entire thing was more arousing than anything she had encountered in a very long time.  He stroked her feeling the creamy essence of her need.

“ Brooke, I want you so badly. I thought that I could wait. I thought that I could cherish you. I will, but not now. I can’t wait much longer.” Brooke closed her eyes as he slid two large fingers inside of her. Her mouth hung open. “ Is it alright Brooke? I’m going to take you hard and fast, but next time. I promise you that I’ll take it slow.” His fingers moved out and then thrust back inside of her. “ Tell me baby? Is it alright?”

Brooke felt the on coming of a climax. “ Ian…” She whimpered.

“ Yes baby?” Ian’s mouth found hers as he leaned her back toward the Turkish rug that lay in front of the fire.

“ I need.”

“ I’m going to give you everything that you need. Just tell me that it is okay to have you.”

His fingers moved faster, he tongue moved inside of her mouth. “ I need to have you say it. Tell me that you need me.” He used his free hand to push his jeans down to be naked in front of her. Brooke could only stare at his magnificent body for a moment before he took her to his penis, all the while his other fingers played upon her heated core.

“ Tell me that you want me, filling you. Tell me that you want me so much that you’d let me come inside of you. To fill you up with me. Tell.”

The mental picture of him filling her and then him coming inside of her was too much for Brooke to take. “ Yes! Yes Ian, I want you to fuck me.” With that, Brooke started to climax on his fingers. Ian has never had a woman to respond to him like this, she was all fire and heat. He continued to move his fingers as she rode them, his fingers milking her body of it essence. The shutters filled Brooke body as she lay against the carpet. Ian held for a second and then he was gone. Just like that, he came back. Brooke watched as he tore open the foil to a condom and put it on his large penis. “ Brooke. I’m sorry. “ Ian whispered against her mouth as he thrust inside of her heated warmth. He had wanted it to be slow but now it was impossible. Ian groaned with pure ecstasy as he pushed inside of her. She was so wet and so damn tight. “ My god. It like fucking a peach.” He thrust hard inside of her. “ So…fucking good.” Ian couldn’t stop himself. Once he was in, he had to move. Brooke gasped as he filled her with his hardness. It was so delicious she couldn’t think of a thing besides him in her, on her, coming together. He moved inside of her with steeled determination. One goal in mind. Her legs spread wider to accommodate him as she moved against her. He was so thick and hard but she loved it. Her nails made little crescents on his back as he rode her. In and out, harder and faster. He filled her. His mouth found her breast and he suckled hard as he moved inside of her with so much force. Before she knew it her body was shacking with the comings of an orgasm. It was too much. She climaxed. Ian could hardly hear Brooke’s cries over his own groans. She squeezed him so tight, he couldn’t make it last. He pushed inside of her heaven one sweet more time before he erupted with his own orgasm.
