In this lesson we learned how to make Side Bar Backgrounds. We learned the importance of the blank gif to hold open the left side of the page for text. We used our main graphic and made a Welcome header, a divider,the side bar and buttons. I took the main graphic and used it to make the side bar background. I also used the flowers from the main graphic to make my divider and buttons.
We have learned many different aspects of making a successful webpage and have much more to learn. We have now made webpages with single borders, double borders and side borders.
In order to make a page with a side border it is important to make sure you use the blank.gif image to fill your open space on the left. Click below to see how this page would look without using the blank.gif.
