| Dear Trying, First of all, I am glad that you have noticed that your ambitions to become slim is taking over your life. I understand how you feel. I am in the same position sometimes! As girls, that's they way our mind thinks. We are worried about how we look!! Its practically inevitable. But still, you have to remember that no one is perfect. We do not all have a model's body. And God made us that way! I think we have to learn to be content with our body and realize that most other girls, practically all other girls, are in our shoes! Even models and those girls who are famous movie actresses. They worry about their looks too! You said you don't exercise much. I suggest you start to try. Start small, with maybe a little walking, and then increase your exercise gradually. Even a little bit will do you good. And also, watch what you eat. Make sure you don't eat a lot of junk food and resist eating high calorie foods. Stick to things that are better for you and reward yourself with a small tasty snack. And speaking of snacks, stick to the more healthier ones. Overall, I'd just remember that you are special and your body is the way God made you. | Miss Weird, I am very, very into looks and self-presentation. It is something I just got into recently. I am kind of over-weight and wanting to be slim like the girls you see on covers of magazines. I know I eat too much and don't excersise much, but it's getting hard for me to battle it as I grow older. I have an ambition to become famous, but the industry sort of requires a certain phisique, and that give my hopes up. My weight is controlling my life.
