A Photo Journey Through Toby's Years as a Puppy |

(Left) That is Toby's first family picture! We had just picked him up from the pet store where the German Shephard Rescue Agency were letting people adopt puppies. We were so lucky to get him because there were hardly any puppies up for adoption. When we drove him home, he was whining the entire way because he had left his foster parents and continued to cry for little while. He was, as you can see, SO cute when he was a puppy! He was all almost all black and his fur was soooo soft! And everyone commented on his ears and paws being to big for his body. Toby was about three months old. |

(Above) This was Toby's first bath. He was miserable, but he smelled a lot better after that! I still wish the water could have been warmer so he wouldn't have shivered so much. But now Toby loves baths! Especially in the summer when its hotter. |

Still on Toby's first day at his new home, he finally smiled for us! As you can tell, he likes his new home. |

(Above & Left) After a few weeks, Toby's cute floppy ear decided it didn't like to lay down and stood up. Now you can REALLY tell that his ears are disproportional to his body. We all kept saying, "He'll grow into them." We were told that Toby's ear had been floppy because he was growing so fast, his body took away some of the energy to keep his ear up to aid his fast growing pace. |

(Left & Right) When Toby was a puppy, he had to sleep in his crate, as shown. Often, we caught him sleeping in weird positions. To the left is when he had his front paws up and was about to turn over into the position to the right. To the right is when he was completely on his back. We have a wild sleeper for a dog. |
