| Dear Overloaded, Whoa! Slow down! A conspiracy? I think your brain HAS been locked on that homework for too long! Here are some tips I use to help me with those overloaded days. First, do the work in order of importance. Do the most important first and the least important last. Never work on one assignment more thant you need. In other words, don't sit in front of your math book, tapping your pencil against the desk, wondering how on earth you are going to do the problem. Skip the problem or call someone to try and figure out what to do. Don't waste time sitting there. Take a few five minute breaks during your work session. It will give your brain a little rest. Take a drink and eat a little thing and then continue your homework. Don't procrastinate. I know you hear it all the time and that its harder to say than do, but trust me! It works! Not just for projects and reports, but for homework too. Procrastinating for homework is otherwise known as dwalding. This makes your homework time a LOT longer! Try hard to concentrate! You still may have days where you are up at two in the morning, but hopefully this helps. Miss Weird |
