| Dear Anoynmous, Ahh...Nintendo. Now I can understand how you could become addicted. I don't even HAVE one but when I do get to play one, it is so totally fun!! It would be really easy to get addicted if I had one in my home. Does that make it wrong to play it?? No! Of course not. Just because it COULD become addicting doesn't mean its wrong. We just have to learn to control ourselves. When we become addicted and place it before things that are more important (like God, family, friends, school, etc.), then it causes some trouble. First, I don't think that your crush has anything to do with your addiction. Of course, I could be wrong. Do you play Nintendo with him or do you normally play by yourself? If you answered with him, then maybe you should try to do something else with him to help yourself. But I think that your addiction probably is caused by just you liking to play it. Its something you enjoy doing! I think your crush just influenced you to start to play it more. The thing you need to do to help stop playing Nintendo is self control. Our society doesn't have enough of it these days. You can tell just by how many obese people there are! Self control. When you are tempted to play Nintendo, think to yourself, is there something else BETTER for you that you could be doing? Perhaps go on a walk with some friends for exercise or doing your homework or spending time with your family? It'll be hard at first, but you'll get used to it. Maybe use playing Nintendo as a reward rather than something to do in your free time. Have someone you trust make suggetions of other things to do and limit your time on the machine. | Miss Weird, I have randomly became addicted to my Nintendo. I play it often and play it regularly. The guy I have a crush on is way into video games and is that why I am so addicted?? I hardly played my Nintendo before meeting him. It's insanity! hahaha! But is he mind-controlling me with video games or is it just my liking? Anoynmous |
