October 1993 began our life together as a married couple.  We made a commitment to each other quite some time before that.  We started as friends, and remain friends today.  It's not always been easy, but it has been interesting.

Willie is involved in our school with coaching from softball, to basketball, to track.  Vicky is involved with the church choirs and stays busy being mom/stepmom.

Together Willie & Vicky play volleyball and enjoy family activities.
One of Willie's students breaking boards at Lake Tomah Fest 2001.  It was quite a feat for Art to perform this year.  Just 6 months before the Fest, Art had suffered multiple strokes and it was amazing for him to come back so fast.
Something that Willie enjoys is weightlifting.  He has participated in the annual Strongman competition at Lake Tomah Fest for the last 2 years.  This year he took 3rd place in the heavyweight division.  Below are pictures to show the events....
Just like Jennie wrote on the back of this picture, high school memories are bitter sweet.  It was the best and worst of times.
Then they had to carry five 1/2 barrells 100 feet that were filled with water.  Approximate weight of each 180 pounds
First they had to flip a tractor tire - sorry no picture for that one, but it weighed around 700 pounds.  They  had to flip it end over end for 50 feet.
Next was the hand-over-hand truck pull where each contestant pulled a Ford King Cab with dual rear wheels for 100 feet.  Approximate weight of the truck is 11,500 pounds.
Then came the big semi and trailer.  Each contestant was put in a harness, and had to pull the tractor and trailer 100 feet.  Approximate weight for this one is 37,000 pounds.
The final event was to carry a 280 pound rock 100 feet.
WHEW!!  That's over!!!  Nice trophy, huh?
