Family Tree

I was a wanderer, seeking, often lost.   Around and around, back and forth...........

I did not even know what it was I sought,.  And then, without warning, there it was.......the prize.

'
Twas nae the ornament.....
'
twas the hand that gave the claddagh.
For with the gift in his outstretched palm was another, even greater....

'
twas the gift of meself.
All my life I'd heard the call, my blood resonating to ancient rhythms, ancestral truths insistantly o'erriding modern malarky.  Discovering the old ways gave me a divine blessing, made my soul feel finally at home.
I carried this precious gift deep within my core, accepting that there were few who shared it, even fewer who understood.
And then, in a place I never planned to be, at a time I never expected, there he was.  A man, but more.  A shining beacon, a radiant soul......vibrating in tune with my heart and spirit......indeed, my other half, he who makes me whole.

He touched me.  That's all, just touched me.   My DNA answered, leapt in joy at the exquisite resonance.  And then the double helix became four, his and mine, twisting and wrapping, chemically bonding, forevermore to be inextricable.
You are thinking perhaps that is a strange description.
How else to describe osmosis of the soul?  How else to describe a melding on a molecular level?
For such it is.  And I know, without doubt or hesitation, that this is what was,
what is now, and what ever shall be.

I have come home.  My soul is at peace.  And in the sharing of myself is the exploration of who and what I am, led and protected by he who shares that self, the One who truly knows me, for we are two halves of the same whole.
