Sorry, I have been busy and not able to get to a computer!!
My jacket just isn't that nice. I found a jacket I like...it's black wool, comes down to almost my knees, has these fasten button things (the kind of long button you slip through a loop), and a hood. HOWEVER, it is 109CHF. I found another on clearence for 49CHF but it was really baggy and didn't look good. THe one for 109 is form fitted and nice looking....more like the Swiss. I dont know about the hoood though. I think I would prefer a collar that I can turn up. So then I need to buy a scarf to go with it for 15.95chf. hehe. Nevertheless, I only have 85CHF to my name. Plus, there is this horse expo in Geneva this weekend. Since, I am busy Saturday. Elise and I are thinking about going SUnday. It is 40Francs to see it and probably 40 francs for the trian ticket. Then I could see the best ridders in Europe! and a dressage clinic by a member of the Swiss team. It sounds fun. But I dont have enough money!!!! How warm is a wool jacket? Its not really that thick. but that is okay, right? I still need to do christmas shopping for the U.S. and here in Swiss. What am I supposed to do???????????????????????
Thanksgiving was good!! Elise and I went shopping Saturday morning and bought all the stuff. Then we started at about 3 p.m. and ate at 1 on Sunday. Everyone came on Sunday at about 11. They all just kept looking at us. and asking...What are you doing? WHen are we eatting? Is it soon ready? What is that? I was getting mad with them!! They were not being very thankful. Elise didnt really understand the idea of cooking and I think I might have been getting kinda not nice. Since I made most of the dinner myself cause she didnt understand what to do and I didnt want to take the time to explain everything. I wasnt mean. She did things too. It just that I would say. No, not that way. Or wait a minute and I will show you how. I don't think it was mean. but I think after one whole day in the kitchen together we were kinda getting ticked off at eachother but didnt want to say it. It wasnt bad. We had lots of fun!! It was Martial, Mimi, Corine, Gils (Corine's boyfriend), Marielle, P-A, Ks�nia, Michel (grandpa), and Marie-Therese (grandma). They all loved the stuffing! They thought it was bizarre that we just put all the food out and eat. That we didn't have courses. So they want the recipes now. I made that cranberry sauce and they think it is jam so we are gonna use it on bread and make some cookies with it next monday. Its really good. I keep having cranberry sandwhiches. I think I at most of the can you sent me. they didnt care for it!! I ate it for lunch and dinner on Monday too. However, we were kinda mad when we were at the grocery store and they didnt have turkeys!! They had them last week for that american holiday. SO we took 2 chickens instead. That was sad. They really loved the green beans I made too. They all were really happy. I took pictures but I need to finish that roll and get it developped!! We told them in America the cooks dont wash the dishes. They thought we were joking. So we ended up cleaning all the kitchen afterwards too!! We made Swiss pies for dessert though and I made Sugar cookies from Grandma Skrochs recipe. without the tartar stuff. Afterwards they kept telling us thanks and it was really good, thanks. So that made me feel good. They did appreciate all the hard work in the end.
