ADVICE FOR PAINT SPILLAGES
ACRYLIC PAINT:
Dilute with water to keep spill area moist, place a moist cloth over the
area then ring us to treat and extract.
ENAMEL PAINT:
Use turpentine or
paint thinners (if you have any), this will help to dilute the stain and stop
the paint stain from drying before a Technician can get there and treat and
extract.
DO'S AND DON'TS FOR STAINS
DO NOT:
Use home products or good old fashioned remedies as this may complicate carpet
professionals attempts at treatment. In a lot of cases it sets the stain
and makes it near impossible to treat.
DO NOT:
Absolutely saturate stains with chemicals or water, this could cause problems
with treatment.
DO USE:
A moist cloth and lay over stain putting light pressure on the cloth to help
draw the stain out of carpet, especially handy with wine and coffee spillages.
THE BONEDRY CLEANING
SYSTEM
-
Carpets receive a prespray of
detergent (including Defoamer) on to carpet to break bond of soiling to
carpet fibre.
-
Hot water clean with rotary
brush machine. All carpets get 2 passes. Technician can see
water coming into machine and knows when carpet is rinsed clean.
Heavily soiled areas in traffic areas will get EXTRA cleaning passes until
shows clean water coming into tank.
-
Rotary brushes revolve at
960rpm. With any other machine for carpet cleaning where carpet
cleaning head is hand operated (all other systems are) will only make 35-40
cleaning passes a minute and less as operator gets tired later in day.
Rotary brushes give at least 8-12 times more agitation of carpet for maximum
soiling removal than other carpet cleaning systems.
-
It is impossible for any
carpet cleaning system to extract all pre spray detergents and the more
detergent left in the carpet the quicker the carpet resoil's. Some
carpets we do have heavy deposits of detergent left in carpet and it
reactivates and foams up into the machine. We use an additive in the
rinsing/cleaning hot water that neutralizes all detergents and brightens
colours and helps take out yellowing of colours caused naturally by UV light
and it contains a pleasant odour to leave carpet and upholstery smelling
clean and fresh.
-
Drying - Wet cold conditions
effect drying time, in summer dry 2 hours approximately. Winter a few
hours depending on the climatic conditions. If house is warm with the
use of heaters during and after cleaning drying is sped up a lot.
