Jesus Shows Us He is Good!
This month and next month, our goal in Unit 3 is for the children to understand how to live the two great laws of love and to go to Jesus, the Good Shepherd, for forgiveness when they have done wrong.  We are still learning how to pray the rosary.  Please help your child understand and practice the correct way to pray the rosary.

Wish List Items:
We need currently these items as soon as possible:
-magazines to cut pictures out of
-cotton balls
-35mm film (400 speed)
-2 plug-in refills (vanilla, cinnamon, berry, or whatever is Christmassy)
-gallon size Ziploc bags
-I would also like an artificial 4ft Christmas tree for December to put in our
classroom.  Also, if you have any decorations that you would like to give to us that
  would also be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know if you could donate any of these items.  Thank you!

Christmas Play:
Our Christmas play will be on Friday, December 7th.  We do not have a definite time yet.  The first graders are all going to be goats.  They need to wear gray sweatshirts and gray sweatpants.  They are very excited about the Christmas play.  They have been practicing their song with Mrs. Freire.  There will be more information to come.

Christmas Gift Ideas:
If you would like to give your child a book for Christmas from our book order, please put the order in an envelope and let me know that it is a gift order so that I can wrap it for you to give it to your child for Christmas.

I am not expecting anything for Christmas, but if you are thinking of buying me something I would love to continue to add to our classroom.  Here are some gift ideas and suggestions:
-gift certificates from Borders and/or Barnes and Nobles
-gift certificates from Lakeshore Learning (the teacher store at the corner of
  Westshore/Kennedy)
-books for our classroom
-math manipulatives (I have magazines and the teacher store sells them, too)

If you would like to give me a personal gift, then here are some other ideas and suggestions:
-gift certificates to Remington`s Steakhouse, Carrabbas, Buca de Beppo, Maggianos,
and/or Outback
-gift certificates to the Mall
-gift certificates to Borders and/or Barnes and Nobles (I love books!)
-gift certificates to the movies (Muvico) or Blockbuster

I hope this was helpful!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (813) 229-1322 or e-mail me at [email protected].

Thank you,
Miss Powell
