Mrs Victoria Beckham: A Media Marathon!

Poor sales of her second solo single: A Mind of It's Own, (reaching a respectable 6 in the UK charts but then falling straight out of the Top 10), prompted industry whisperings that the Virgin/Mrs.  Beckham marriage had finally come to end.

Then on the day that she was allegedly to be dropped, Mr David Beckham's camp announced the happy couple were:''Expecting a baby sometime in September'. Cynical pop insiders were then quick to accuse Mrs.  Beckham, of trying to strong-arm Virgin into not making an announcement of a split.

Amidst this mess Mrs Victoria Beckham announced that she would be releasing a 3rd single from her album, a reworking of the track I Wish as duet with Robbie Craig of Artful Dodger fame. Virgin did not comment apart from making unofficial remarks that no 3rd single had been scheduled.

Soon after came a slew of stories making jokes about what the new baby would be called. Mrs. Victoria Beckham was alleged to be favouring the name Paris if it was a girl, but not because the baby was conceived there, simply because she liked the name. Bookmakers were quick to open bets on what the new baby would be called, and reports leaked to news wires showed that some of betting choices included 'Back Seat' and 'Nightclub Toilet'

Then on Sunday Mrs Beckham, her 3 years old son and her father, Mr. Tony Adams were involved in a motorway pile up, but left the scene unhurt.

Breaking news this week confusingly report that Mrs. Beckham has been offered a deal to star in  a UK based Oprah style chat show, whist unconfirmed reports on the unofficial industry gossip website allege that Mrs Beckham and Miss Emma Bunton have sacking their present management teams, and are re-signing with  Management 19, the company owned by Simon fuller the manager that they famously sacked in 1997 for exercising excessive control.

All at the same time Mrs Beckham has filmed a commercial at Blenheim Palace for Walker Crisps, and unofficial reports on Popbitch allege scene suggesting that Mrs Beckham threw tantrums and was showing general signs of Star Sickness. On Monday evening an original 75 minute documentary chronicling the real life of Star, mother, and wife was aired on MTV. Phew.
