| Miss Popmander focuses her thoughts on Mr Frank Skinner's Behaviour. Could this be a time for forgiveness she asks? Perhaps. Dear Reader, I having been thinking. Mr Frank Skinner's mean spirited and unchivalrous remarks directed to Miss Sohie Ellis Bextor at the Brit Awards prompt my thoughts to turn to my own words and deeds. I endevour to be polite and courteous at all times, but if I have a strong point to make, or need to express a thought that has been troubling me, I will be quick to make it. In fact sometimes quite frankly I can be blunt in my dealings! Yet this in itself troubles me. I am aware that on rare occasion my words and opinions may cause discomfort, or even distress to another. Therefore making harsh judgements troubles my mind and I think very hard about the consequences. In this present moment I am wondering how Mr Frank Skinner is feeling. Is he feeling defiant, guilt ridden, remorseful, or has he not given the matter a second thought? When dear reader, you find yourself in a situation, where you may have been unkind, remember this: We can all make dreadful mistakes, but the true test is how we behave after the 'incident'. Guilt is an unexpressed emotion that can feed upon itself promote bitterness in our character. Defiance is simply a public way of burying the guilt. But even worse is not giving the matter a second thought, this is the mark of a cold hearted and amoral egotist. I say that remorse is the best reaction, but only if it is properly expressed and shared with friends and family. It is only then that one can truly forget the incident and move forward in one's life, untroubled and with one's character intact. |
