We continue to practice three important rules.  Respect Yourself, Respect Others, and Respect Your Environment.  We also know that it is very important to treat others the way we want to be treated back.  We will practice these behaviors throughout the school year.

Language Arts is very exciting!  We have read many books this month, including:
Mouse Mess, All I Am, and From Head to Toe. We completed our first writing assessment and our first reading assessment.  We are working on learning and practicing our letters.  We are also working on rhyming words.  In October we wrote a story about meeting a witch!

We are working with symmetry in math right now.  We have learned that in order for something to be symmetrical it must be the same on both sides.  We found pictures of things that were symmetrical.  We also cut out shakes that were symmetrical.  We even created symmetrical people!  Come in and visit our symmetrical people!

We just finished our pumpkin unit and we are still observing a pumpkin decompose.  We have started to talk about Thanksgiving.  We are learning about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims.  We will also be disgusing what we are thankful for.

I hope you enjoyed reading about Kindergarten!
