| continued from page 9 Selection Process � Case studies will be judged on originality, subject matter, issue of importance, and classroom relevance. � Topics must be of relevant nature to today's news and will be based on the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Study Topic. � Phi Theta Kappa will select and send the top four entries to USA TODAY Getting Started 1. Review the rules and other resources available on the Case Study Challenge homepage. 2. Register online to take the Case Study Challenge. 3. Subscribe to USA TODAY if needed (no purchase is necessary to enter or to win). 4. Read the print edition of the USA TODAY newspaper between July 1, 2004 and March 1, 2005. 5. Select 4-5 articles on a single topic related to the Honors Study Topic. 6. Record the headline, byline, section name, publication date, and page number(s) for each article selected. 7. Write a one-page (maximum 500 words) summary of the topic. 8. Write an essay (maximum 200 words) on the future implications of the topic. 9. Pose 3-5 discussion questions related to the topic. 10. Suggest 6 resources for additional study. 11. Review the submission checklist to be sure you've covered everything. 12. Download and fill out the entry form. 13.
