| Regional Officer Goals for 2005-2006 |
| 1. Discuss scholarship opportunities and availability when speaking A noted problem amongst members is a lack of money. The regional officers have decided to assist with fixing that problem by speaking about scholarships, availibility, and requirments. 2. Collect success stories One of the officers discussed how inspirational it was to hear stories of how Phi Theta Kappa member have gone out and become successful. These are people who would qualify for the Distiguished Alumnus Award or the Hall of Honor Distinguished Person Award. This is a person who has distiguished themselves in either a professional of humanitarian capacity. Example: Former member Joe has gone on to be a mayor/state representative/congressman. I would like more than just one sentence. The best one each month will be chosen by the regional officers and published withn this newsletter. 3. Retool the web site Make the web site more user friendly and update the links. Add a history, sitemap, and other things. 4. Regional Officers submit at least one article per month for the regional newsletter. 5. Collect History Collect and publish regional history, including regional officers, intenational officers and awards. Assist chapters in publishing their histories on their own websites. |
