| All About Mrs. McCarthy! |
| ~ I was born in Lancaster County, PA . ~ I graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have also earned my Masters Degree in Education in the school of Library Science and Information Technology from Mansfield University. ~ I have taught at R.B. Walter for eight years now! Before settling at R.B. Walter I worked as a substitute with many districts locally and in Lancaster. I also teach education graduate level courses for Wilkes University and Performance Learning Systems! ~ I live in Mainesburg with my husband, two cats Oscar and Sammy and my German Short-haired dog, Adam. ~ My favorite TV shows are Oprah (I tape it every day so I don't miss a show!) and CSI. ~ My favorite movie is Father of the Bride or White Christmas. ~My hobbies are reading, cooking, scrapbooking, traveling and entertaining friends! ~ I love to travel and fly in planes! If I had a different career I think I'd be a flight attendant or work for the travel channel! ~ My parents just moved here from Phoenix last year! They live in Elkland! ~ I also have a sister who lives in Southern California, with my nephew Sean. Sean is in eighth grade. ~ I got married this past July 2007. My husband and I are excited to start a family of our own! ~ My favorite thing about teaching is it is different every day and the kids are fabulous! ~ My favorite type of book to read is mystery! ~ My favorite holidays are Christmas and Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving because my entire family comes from all over to celebrate. I love Christmas because I like all the traditions that go along with it like the late Christmas Eve service at my church- by the time it is over it is Christmas! ~ My favorite food is any kind of seafood- especially clams. Corn on the cob is a close second! ~ My pet peeves are bad manners, whining, and using your cell phone in public too much! |
