Classroom Policies
PICKING UP AND DROPPING OFF: When bringing your child to school please do not walk them to the classroom without a visitor's pass. If picking them up please go to the office and have the secretary call for a dismissal. AGAIN, a visitor's pass is required to travel through our halls for your child's safety. It should  not be practice for you to walk your child to our classroom every morning.

BOOK CLUB ORDERING: Once a month your child will be offered the opportunity to order low cost books from Scholastic. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity of ordering. The books are priced well below what they cost in retail stores. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH!!!! Please make checks payable to Scholastic.

SNACKS: We will have a snack break each morning. The snack must be a healthy snack, such as pretzels, fruit, dry cereal, etc. STUDENTS MAY NOT HAVE CANDY DURING SNACK TIME. If they bring candy in, they will not be permitted to eat it for snack. Juice boxes and water are also acceptable for snack time. Please do not send in any soda. Your child will not be permitted to drink it in school. Please take a few minutes to prepare a snack for your child everyday or teach them how to prepare their own snack. Studies show that full bellies make better learners!

NO TOYS POLICY: Toys from home are not permitted in school, except for special share days and special events.

BUS CHANGES: All bus changes should be in writing and sent in to school with your child in the morning. For safe keeping and to assure I will receive the note, place it in the zipper pouch of your child's FROG folder. If you need to call in a bus change do so before 2:00!

ABSENCES: Please send in an excuse the day your child returns to school. If you would like to pick up work, please call in the morning so I have the day to prepare work on my prep time.

LUNCH MONEY: Place lunch money in your child's FROG folder in the zipper pouch so it is not lost. Your child may charge a lunch. You will receive a "bill" for charges that same day which will tell you how much is owed and may also tell you if they need more money on their account. If you are experiencing too many charges from your child, they may be purchasing extras. Extras are unhealthy lunch choices such as slushies and chips. You can put a block on your child's account to stop them from purchasing these items.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Your child is provided with most school supplies necessary for the year. Excessive damage or abuse of items will result in having to buy them. Abuse of small items (such as pencils, crayons, etc) will result in a child having to provide their own.
