Winnipeg South Blues Hockey Game

Tonight I was a special guest at the Winnipeg South Blues - St. James Canadians hockey game. This game was sponsored by Meyers Norris Penny and I was asked by MNP to be in attendence. It was a really cool honor to be asked to participate in this event!

At the start of the night, prior to the game actually starting, I was selling 50/50 tickets and greeting people at the door. Every person that came in the door was entered into a draw to win the door prize and some other gifts from MNP. A couple of minutes prior to the game, I put on my skates becuase I had a very important job to do - I was dropping the puck! It was really exciting and I was greeted warmly by the audience, players and coaches. As I went out onto the ice, I shook hands with the officials, coaches and players from each team. The teams also presented me with the puck that I dropped.

During the 2nd intermission, I once again donned my skates to go out on the ice, this time to help with the shoot out. There was one little boy who was soo cute and he got it pretty far down the ice from center ice! After the second intermission, my job was almost complete.

After the game, I was brought out onto the ice to take pictures with the winning team, the Winnipeg South Blues. It was a great picture, and it'll be posted in a bit!

I would like to thank Meyers Norris Penny for including me in this event, especially Barbara Weselak. It was a fun time, and here's to more appearances with MNP!

P.S. One thing that was interesting and kinda cool for me, was that the athletic trainer for the St. James Canadians was my old athetlic therapist. It was good to catch up with him! Hope things are going well for you, K. 1
