Fall Harvest
During this unit, we will concentrate on the following concepts:
- What is a scientist? What does a scientist do? What tools does a scientist use?
- Living and non-living things
- Plants and trees have different parts.
- Trees have a yearly cycle. Change in temperature effects some trees (deciduous vs. evergreen)
- Temperature affects the leaves of deciduous trees.
- In Harford County, apples, corn, and pumpkins are harvested in the fall.
- Artists celebrate the harvest through music, poetry, and painting.
- Thanksgiving
