Her First and Last Journey

One day, all of us snowflakes wanted to get out of a cloud. We
found a little opening. My
mom said I could go only if I would bring my younger sisters. Oh,
sorry. How
rude of me to not introduce myself. My
name is Dakota and I’ve been a snowflake for 2 weeks. It’s
a lot longer in snowflake years. In
human years, I am 10 years old - almost 11. These
are my sisters, December (1 week/5 years), January (6 days/5 years), and
February (3 days/2 years).
I wanted to go so I could have freedom. I
jumped while holding hands with my sisters. Whoosh!
We
started falling. It
was getting hot. I
prayed for the wind to blow us north. The
wind suddenly stopped, we started falling, and fell on a roof with hot smoke
coming out of a chimney. We
then fell onto a girl’s hat. Then
the girl went inside and put her hat near the fireplace with a fire going. We
started melting. Before I melted, I left a letter for my mom. It
said:
Dear
Mom, We got taken in on a hat and there was a roaring fire going. We melted
and now we are going to the great above, HOME!!!
