MY RAINBOW BRIDGE
PETS
My dog of 12 years, Tinkerbell, has passed away recently. She loved to "help" Mom in the garden, break every stick she could find, and loved to eat anything sweet. She was a cutey, but also a brat! She behaved way too big for her britches. When Bambi died, Tink began bossing our cats around. She used to freak out when you copied Monty Python's The Knights who say..... "Ni!!!" She even bit my brother on the schnauz once for doing this! He has nosebleeds to this day.
One of Tink's sweetest attributes was her soft, "I love you" grunts and groans she made everytime we spoke sweetly to her or just pet her. She had the kindest eyes, but boy was she bossy; a very strong force of nature for such a little thing! She firmly believed she was Queen of the castle.
Bambi was the sweetest, prettiest ^furkid^. She was VERY good with babies and children; much like 'Nana' in Peter Pan. She knew lots of tricks without really having to be taught. She had a habit of winking at a person. She was also known to pout (for days)when her feelings were hurt. When Tink got out of the fence once, Bambi followed her to take care of her. When we went out looking for them, she led us to Tink. Bambi was rescued from a horrible puppy mill. We had Bambi for 16 happy years.
Westley was my beautiful canary that I named after The Princess Bride movie. Like Wendy, he believed he was of royalty (a prince), and, would one day become king - b/c his Mommy told him so. He *loved* good music and sang even better than some so-called 'professional' singers out there!
More about Westley - He  only took baths in his little water dish. Very, very messy. He sang very beautifully, but was very, very, very loud!! He 'talked' in his sleep; "canary snoring" I called it. He never really swung in his swing. He only sat there, still as one of those guards on duty at Buckingham Palace. ;0)
