Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is an international organization of college and professional men. The fraternity was founded in 1914 at Howard University and has  as its principles,
Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service. These principles are exhibited in the fraternity motto, "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity." As one of the nine predominately African-American, Greek-Lettered organizations, Phi Beta Sigma has a membership of over 125,000 with 650 chapters throughout the continental United States, Switzerland, Europe, the Caribbean Islands and Africa. The youth club sponsored by the Fraternity is the Sigma Beta Clubs.
Our three Founders Hon. Bro. A. Langston Taylor, Hon. Bro. Leonard F. Morse, and Hon. Bro. Charles I. Brown wanted a true brotherhood based on the idea of inclusion instead of exclusion.
ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
The brothers of the great state of Mississippi live up to this tradition by having some of the largest collegiate chapters of any state in the Southern Region. The programs the alumni and collegiate chapters perform follow the three National Programs of Phi Beta Sigma. The three program areas include: Social Action, Bigger & Better Business, and Education. Our state prides itself on being active with the communities in which we live.
