"SIGNS and WONDERS"
Just looks like a pile of empty boxes, think again, this was God's provision, for us to give to needy families as it contained much needed  (and generously donated)  items for them.  The Bible College, Oradea...... Dr Iulia Nicoara, Sibiu...... Gheorghe family in Ploiesti......  Many signs and wonders were experienced on this trip.   (Praise the Lord)

The LORD spoke to the dad to remove a very large obstruction  in his  "driveway"
He had no idea why it had to be removed, but in obedience, he did what God told
him, and when we arrived, he realised why the obstruction had to be taken up, it
would have prevented me from parking in the "driveway"                            
It's the sort of thing you read about in books and never think it could happen to you. But...... We were travelling through Hungary during a winter trip, and the weather conditions were not getting any better,  No doubt the local folk had been warned about a heavy snowfall, so people could get home early and businesses could close etc;  But unknown to us Brits travelling to Romania,  fuel stations were shutting up as there would be little traffic on the roads in view of the blizzard conditions.   At this time, there was no motorway so it's a long trundle on narrow roads.  Pete Bentley was with us on this trip, and for many years, he'd been in the motor trade, but even to this day, almost 15 years after the event, he cannot understand how we could possibly drive so far with so little fuel in the tank and end up in Romania with more diesel  to what we had in Hungary.  Impossible says Pete..... adding the words "Praise God"   Listen friends, Jesus turned water into wine, so there's no reason why He couldn't to air into fuel.  But we give God all the Glory, He IS our Jehovah Jireh.......NOW!
On the "Confirmations" page, there's a few snippets of miracles you can read about just to wet the appetite...... Here's a bit more relating to genuine   SIGNS AND WONDERS and not the human manufactured signs and wonders.   We were at Dr Nicoaras' place in Gales, (pronounced Gar-lesh)  and Julia needed to get to the hospital in Sibiu very quickly.  Her car was a shared vehicle, but not available for Julia and the only other vehicle was our 7.5 tonner truck.  I knew there was very little fuel in the tank, but I had a 30 litre container and said to Julia hang on while I put a bit more fuel in.    No time for that, we'll get some on the way to the hospital; or on the way back, we must go quickly...........so we left. It's about  65  -  70 klms to Sibiu and back.    As we travelled towards the hospital I kept a close watch on the fuel gauge, and it was on the red by the time we reached Sibiu.  There were 3 Fuel stations  open on the opposite side of the road so we should  be ok for some diesel on the way back.   However, on the way back...which is mainly uphill...the fuel gauge soon showed empty.  I said to Julia, I hope we can make it to the first "PECO"  because we are now running on empty and we have about 30 klms to go before we're home.   I could see the lights of the fuel station in the distance and saying a quick prayer;  "Thank you Lord for bringing us safe this far"    believing that we'll make it to the pumps.  Just as I pulled in to the forecourt, Julia says to me;  go on to the next one, there was a big sign saying NO DIESEL - NU MOTORINA.    My next prayer meeting was also in the cab of the truck with an instant  "Lord help"  and then I said to Julia I don't think we're going to make it to the next one ....... we did ....... but they were closed.   There was only one more fuel stop, we had to make it otherwise we'll run out, the fuel gauge is still showing empty even though the road was flat.   I drove slow in the highest gear possible and by the time we got to the next one.....it also was closed.   At this point of no hope, Julia says to me  "Brother John, where is your faith -  where is your God now"  I believe that Julia was desperately in need of some real live "Signs and Wonders"  after all, all the "signs" were showing we had no fuel and one   "wonders"  if we'll ever get home.    But God .... BUT GOD gets us home on empty.   He takes hold of an empty vessel and  fills it with an invisible Holy Ghost power that comes only from Him then gives a new lease of life........ 
             TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
The day before we were due to return to the U.K. I checked the prices of fuel as we travelled and found that all the prices were stabilised at a standard fixed price.   This helped me to calculate how much money to hold on to for the purchase of diesel to get us home, and I had enough to buy 400 litres.   When we arrived at the last fuel station just before the border, there were no signs to say how much fuel was.  I simply assumed it would be the same as all the other places.   We get to the pumps and I wrot
